If you're thinking about dance lessons for your wedding, I highly recommend Danielle and First Dance Studio! We had already decided upon our first dance song and we both agreed we didn't want to look uncomfortable on the dance floor or stuck with your boring basic prom side shuffle for our first dance at our wedding. We wanted memories of our wedding night that would last a lifetime and Danielle helped us get even more than that. When I first brought up the idea of dance lessons to my then fiancé (now husband), he agreed to do the lessons but wasn't thrilled about the idea. We both had athletic backgrounds from high school and college, but neither of us had danced before. Danielle made us both feel at ease and comfortable with dancing. My husband never thought this was something he would ever do, let alone enjoy it! After meeting Danielle and completing our introduction lesson, we decided to book a package so we would not only learn our first dance but have extra lessons to have as special date nights after our wedding - and to our shock, the lessons are good for 5-years from the date of purchase for many date nights to come! Danielle had us laughing and enjoying ourselves while learning. Our dance lessons quickly became a nice getaway amidst the rest of the wedding planning chaos and was something we looked forward to each week. She was also super flexible with class times as we had demanding day jobs - fitting us in for the evening or on our 'off-work Friday', but we also were commuting 45 minutes for the lessons so if we got stuck in traffic, she was always understanding and made our schedule work. Although it was a choreographed dance, my goal was to know how to follow my partner's lead well enough that I could be in the moment, enjoy our first dance, and be able to sing the lyrics without thinking about my next step, and Danielle taught us just that. We were super impressed with what we were able to learn in the number of lessons we did - a full 4.5-minute dance that included a lift and a dip! Danielle also worked with my husband and my mother-in-law for their mother-son dance and they had easy-to-remember steps in just one lesson! Danielle gave us more than a nice-looking first dance at our wedding, she gave us cherished memories together that we'll never forget and now we have dance skills we can use at any occasion in the future. We are looking forward to using these skills at our friends' weddings, vacations, and learning new types of dances on our date nights as we continue to use the lessons from our package. We cannot thank Danielle enough for the experience she provided us throughout the lessons, practicing at home, on our wedding day, and the fact that she made us both find an exciting new date night we can both enjoy! We took dance lessons for our wedding, and truthfully it has been something we both look forward to each week. It's been one of our favorite things to do in the wedding planning process! We wanted a dance that would have some wow moments and be semi choreographed but had wiggle room for us to improvise basic steps if we got lost on the big day or timing was a little off, and man, did Danielle deliver!!! She worked with us, listened to everything we wanted or didn't want and helped mold and create am amazing dance that we could do! Neither of us had dance experience so she started out with basics and we progressed up from there. We bought a total of 20 classes and we ended up with 3 extra after our wedding date which we are both super excited about! It's such a fun experience to do with your partner and we're really looking forward to continuing when we get back from our honeymoon! We went to First Dance Studio for our upcoming wedding in June 2023, having never taken any dance lessons before. We had our intro class with Danielle in which she was super helpful in deciding what direction we wanted to go with for our first dance. Then we signed up for a 3 class crash course and had the 3 classes with Daniela. They were super accommodating with our busy schedules and the short time frame we were working with! We had our final class yesterday, and are so happy with how it turned out! We were nervous for the first dance but now feel excited and confident for the day of our wedding. If you're hesitant- I would definitely recommend going for the classes to help ease nerves for the first dance and highly recommend First Dance Studio!! read more

We started a few months before our June 2017 wedding and had so much fun working with them to create a dance that impressed our guests. Danielle was a great instructor for our first dance at our wedding. Dancing gives me anxiety, let alone for my wedding with everyone staring at me. Danielle helped choreograph our dance and instill confidence in both of us. She made things easy to understand and our dance came out great. She helped plan an unorthodox dance for my wife and her parents in just one lesson, and also helped my mom become confident in our mother/son dance which is a hard thing to do. Danielle made our first dance at our wedding something that we will remember and look back on with fond memories for the rest of our lives. From the first lesson with Danielle I knew she was a great fit for my husband and I. She was approachable and had a positive attitude from the start even though we were working on a short timeline. First Dance Studio is wonderful! We took our lessons from Danielle. The lessons were for our first dance at our wedding. Danielle was super friendly and made my fiance and me feel very comfortable. We came in not really having any prior dance experience. Danielle really listened to us and she was great at helping us nail down a song and dance to go with it! She taught us the basic foxtrot steps and then when we felt comfortable we added in a few twirls and even a dip at the end! I highly recommend First Dance Studio! I found First Dance Studio on Groupon when I purchased an intro class. My husband and I went to the class hoping to find a dance instructor that we were comfortable with- and we found that in Danielle! We both have zero dancing experience and Danielle definitely had patience with us. We purchased five classes and within a month and a half we felt confident and prepared for our first dance. My dad and I came across First Dance Studio when we were looking for someone to help us with a nontraditional father/daughter dance. We are SO glad we picked them and ended up working with Danielle. Our mashup dance was one of the highlights of the wedding and people couldn't stop talking about it the entire night! Such a fun experience! My husband and I decided to take dance lessons before our wedding because we had no idea what we were doing. Danielle was amazing and turned us into pros! What I loved about taking dance classes was Danielle listened to what we were envisioning and showed us all the right steps to me it happen!
