Garlic parm chicken 'wings' and pulled pork egg rolls
    Leah J.

We got the pulled pork egg rolls... absolutely amazing!!!! I also order the chicken parm wings which were good but I was very confused how these could be considered wings... they are chicken tenders... I feel as though they were mislabeled on the menu because that's not what I expected ... other than that it was very good!

Small place with great eats! My family and I loved everything we had. The burgers were good, a bit messy but still really tasty. I wish they had different veggie burger options. The patty was just okay but it was nice that you could put it on any burger you wanted. Our waiter was extremely attentive and knew what we needed before we could ask! We were seated quickly too which was a big plus!

    The King - very good!

4.5 stars. Came for a casual family lunch and overall had a good dining experience. It is a small venue but the staff was nice enough to move a few tables together for our group. The service was almost too attentive, they frequently asked if we needed anything which was very nice but also a bit sales-y as they tried to offer additional dishes and drinks. The burger and chips were solid, I got The King which was really good. The milkshakes are fun and photogenic but there is so so little milkshake in the actual cup, I wish they would do that thing diner's do where they give you the extra milkshake on the side of the photogenic serving.

Craving a good burger go to this location. I've never had a bad burger or fries here. Cooky and crazy concoctions for burgers come and get your variety 31 to choose from and you can create your own! They've got these freak frappes that look so yummy and wild. They have 14 varieties of fries. If your not in the mood get some boneless wings cuz why not! My favorite burger is the Vermonster apples on your burger what what don't knock it til' you try it! It has bacon, cheddar, a maple aioli instant fall flavors in ya mouth. My friend had the Bruschetta burger and it looked really good light and fresh. All burgers are served w house made chips that are super crisp and golden. Just do it you won't regret it but you may need a stack of napkins on deck lol

Just Do it! Include Boston Burger into your plans. I saw the pics. I thought to myself this place has catchy shakes- their food can't be good. I was wrong. I am admitting it. Sorry Boston Burger Company for my judgement. 2 kids, one adult. 3 cookie dough shakes $51 later- no regrets. The cup rolled in vanilla frosting. Cookie cereal bites meticulously lined up in the frosting. A skewer in the shake topped with an ice cream sandwich and a god of cookie dough. Oh wait want more dough, no worries! Dough inside the shake and an extra gob on the side! Chocolate syrup, whit cream and a cherry! It was what cookie dough dreams are made of! The food... The pulled pork egg rolls with fried Mac and cheese... There for it! But the win was the dip they served it with! The 420 burger split three ways because I knew th se kids cannot handle the shake and their own burger! And it was a good assumption. The burger was delicious! Their bbq sauce was very flavorful. Their coleslaw- win! I love a coleslaw that's juicy. The kids loved their potato chips (pretty sure they make their own- cape cod style.) Pro tips: kids can't finish the shakes and the merch is hilarious

Hard Apple Pie A La Mode

I've been to the Cambridge and Boston locations of Boston Burger, but this was my first time trying the Somerville one. I went with a few friends on a Saturday night. This was in October and the windows were open, so there was a significant draft in the room. I ordered the burger bomb, which comes with sautéed peppers, mushrooms, onions, and cheese. I thought the burger was slightly overcooked and part of it tasted like char. We also shared the hard apple pie a la mode freake frappe. I think their normal shakes are really good, but I didn't love the addition of alcohol. Maybe just not for me. Overall, some menu items are great and others are just okay. Great if you're craving a huge burger. The service is standard.

    Hot Mess

This was my first time trying this location of Boston Burger Company in Davis Square. It is in a prime location - right off the red line and very accessible. On a Friday night, it wasn't too packed so we were able to get seated right away. The menu here is absolutely insane... the burger choices are wacky and they have pretty much any combination that you could think of. I decided on the "Hot Mess" burger, while my partner ordered the "Vermonter" burger. It's a bit of a disappointment that they don't allow for substitutions for a side of fries (by default you get a side of chips with coleslaw or baked beans), but after receiving your food you quickly will realize that fries might be a bit too much. These burgers are massive and absolutely loaded with toppings. The "Hot Mess" had thousand island dressing, lettuce, sweet potato fries, and more. While the burger was tasty, it was definitely overpowered by everything else going on here. I honestly preferred the taste of the "Vermonter" burger more... the different elements of this burger paired together better in my opinion. The chips and coleslaw were okay, but nothing special at all. Because we're crazy, we also ordered one of their loaded frappes - the s'mores flavor. This frappe was insane. Topped with graham crackers and flame-torched marshmallows, it was overwhelming even for two people to share. Still, it was tasty and unique. If you're coming to this restaurant for a crazy burger/shake experience, you're at the right place!

I keep ordering from here through ubereats even though every time I do, they always get at least one thing wrong. I keep ordering because I really love how this food tastes however. This time I got a side Caesar salad, but they gave it to me without any dressing which , in my opinion , Just renders the entire thing not enjoyable. :/ The food is legit so good, which is why I keep giving this place the benefit of the doubt. it's just that every time I order, they get at least one thing wrong, whether it's forgetting an item I ordered, giving me something completely burnt, or giving me a third of the portion of chips than usual. I really enjoy this place and it's flavors. I do, but the consistency when following an order is always a risk.

    420
    Christopher W.

Amazing. I had the 420 and the dish was massive. Two mozzarella sticks, fried mac & cheese, bacon, onion rings and fries covered in honey mustard sauce, and the burger itself. Coming on an empty stomach was the smart idea here. My friend ordered the Pigferno which was also massive and stacked like a tower with the burger, onion rings, spicy mayo, and BBQ sauce. We also ordered the Dry Rub Wings which was also incredible. Only thing I did not like was not having enough stomach space to order some more! Especially one of those crazy shakes, was hoping to order The King Frappe or the Oreo. When I visit Boston again, this will be another must-try-again! Definitely want to try one of those crazy shakes. P.S. There is also a "420 deal" where you only pay $4.20 for the 420 if you go during Monday - Friday from 4:20 pm (to 5:20 pm I believe).

    Burger Bomb Burger
    Rich L.

Life is short F....it up Family, Flavor, Friends Small quaint burger place in Davis sq. Ordered the Bomb Burger - sautéed onions mushrooms cheese burger. It was delivered on a lighted grilled bulky roll, homemade chips and baked beans. The chips were tasty especially when u dip it in the baked beans( yeah I know that sounds weird). The burger was as expected although it did not have a lot of seasoning it was cooked on a flat grill and had a great flavor.

    Pizza Fries
    Carra F.

Kendra was our waitress and she was amazing. The pizza fries were perfect. When I got my The King burger it didn't have the peanut butter on it so I had to wait a few minutes for a side of peanut butter. The king burger tasted really good. I didn't like the baked beans- they tasty herby. The garlic Parmesan wings were a big disappointment. Overall the food was good but I would probably only come back for the pizza fries. The service was the best part.

Wings, Sweet Potato Fries, and the Alpine Burger
    Gauravi P.

We had a nice time eating here despite the pandemic situation. My husband ordered wings and a side of sweet potato fries. I ordered the Alpine (Turkey) burger, which was topped with mushroom and cheese. I really wish my burger had some sort of sauce but alas it was dry. I borrowed some of my husband's ranch sauce to douse my burger with as a remedy. The sweet potato fries were nicely cut and fried and therefore delicious. They however came with a side of mayonnaise which was u fortunate. We had to ask for ketchup. Our server was lovely. Our food came out fast. The portions were generous. All in all we had a good time here.

Our bartender greeted us like we didn't belong. We went for the steak and cheese and she never mentioned it. She was an older woman. We were appalled on the confusion when we walked in. There was no one at the bar the entire time we were there. But we were approached a few time with negative and bad attitude. My brother asked for an iced coffee. Let it be known it was brunch. " she told him she couldn't make that happen " after an hour of waiting for the special "steak and cheese ". That was fire but also not in the menu and not told to us about on the special. During a confusing right and wrong conversation with the bartender we found out there were actually specials that she was never going to show or speak to us about. Little hide and seek. I liked it. The best part was when we asked to put the golf on the television "I have to ask the manager." That never came to fruition. We finally found the guy after 3 rounds of testimonies. Let's remember there is no one else at the bar. Finally we are finishing up and my brother has half of his steak and cheese left. "Can I take this in a box "? The bartender says. "Give me a minute I'm busy ". The answer she gave for every single small request we had at this great restaurant. Water. "Give me a minute ". Super professional, on top of his stuff and fun guy. Going to say at the end of the day. The steak and cheese was fire. Atmosphere was on point. But this one woman ruined the literal entire experience. Made the outing feel like a chore. Thanks , Joe

Beautiful bar counter, long bat for seating and many tables inside and outside nice covered seating . I ordered the burger and the description of ingredients drew me in further to taste this burger . Nice thick dry aged beef burger, the melted cheese , onion jam, aioli mayo all worked together and a dip by me in ketchup. I did get a dry aged beef taste vs a regular beef burger... but not enough to say it was a differentiator . This was an outstanding burger . I consider this one of my top favorite burgers in Boston area. I ordered the hash browns and they were left off my plate, but eventually arrived . They took the hash brown costs off my bill... I ate the hash browns after the burger was gone . These hard fried potato blend was outstanding taste . I would have like a drizzle of pink sea salt or custom made ketchup blend. When you serve a terrific burger, outstanding g hash browns... why not a chef blend of a honey ketchup with special ingredients or spices. Even the pickle was great and just enough and tasted like a slice of a grillo's type dill pickle not a jar Heinz pickle . The Maine lunch beer pint was a perfect beverage pairing. Overall excellent lunch, great service. Nice vibes as a restaurant in a high end Hotel with elegant appearance, seating, well dressed groomed staff. The other menu selections all sound enticing to try... but 20.00 for that burger was reasonable. I will be back . They offer valet parking as part of the hotel. There is on street parking and side street parking. I wanted roasted Brussels on menu as an add on option. I highly recommend to the chef to step it up with a homemade ketchup.

We tried the Braised Short Rib Croquettes which were stuffed with short rib and topped with sooo much yummy cheese. We walked into a room where the walls are covered in memorabilia and every table is labeled with the name of a famous person who has sat there, giving the space a personality that no amount of designed ambiance can replicate. It feels like a place with genuine history rather than a place performing one. The burgers are the reason to come and they hold up after more than six decades without apology. The patties are thick and cooked to order, with medium being the right call for maximum juiciness. The creative topping combinations across the named burgers give you a range of directions to go depending on your mood. The Masshole is a natural starting point for a first visit, and the build your own option is worth knowing about if you want to go a more specific route. The portions are large enough that leaving satisfied is essentially guaranteed. The onion rings are a great choice of side for good reason, crispy and well seasoned in a way that holds up alongside the burger rather than competing with it, and the sweet potato fries are a strong alternative if you want something slightly less heavy. The frappes and shakes are worth ordering if you want something to wash it all down, and the raspberry lime Rickey is a summer ready drink with a refreshing taste.
