I have been a patient of Dr. Miller's since early 2000's and have had several skin and surgical procedures over the years. After leaving Boston for CA, I have traveled to him several times for his undeniable expertise. My own mother thought I looked "incredibly rested" and didn't know I had extensive surgery just a few weeks prior to seeing her! After having my upper eye lids lifted more than once, there is no scar and I do not look altered. What separates him from others is that patients look natural, and not as though they had work done. Had cynosure's pico laser with Liz! It was called the focus array. I was a little nervous and uncertain but I have been going to Liz for a long time and she is honest and never disappoints! In my opinion, these are 2 things lacking in most other skincare practices. She is also someone who truly cares about her patients. Liz explained that the laser works well to remove unwanted pigment, refine my pores and even out texture. She called it a beauty polish! Most patients need a session of treatment for best results but even with just one you'll start to see improvement. It's 500 per treatment which when I researched is very reasonable in this area. I consider it a well being appointment and an investment in myself. She explained that she would put numbing cream on me (I did my face). so I was comfortable during treatment and compared the initial feeling right after as a sunburn feel and look. However, she said it would only last a couple hours or so. The treatment was not painful at all. I was indeed red like a tomato and felt a bit wind burn but nothing intolerable. It's been 4 weeks since my last pico and my skin has never looked more radiant. My friends and family complement my skin all the time and I hand them Liz's card. Anyone who is considering laser and want a safe and effective treatment.., look no further than Liz. You'll be one of her many satisfied patients. I visited Dr. Miller for a consult about a neck lift. I wasn't happy with the reception I received, his manner was very cold. The office charges a $150 fee for the consult, which many offices would deduct from the cost should you decide to go ahead with the surgery, not the case here. There are other physicians that offer free consultations. People are always amazed that I am almost 60, only recently my neck has started to bother me. I did not appreciate Dr. Miller recommending several other procedures including botox because he wanted me to look "the best I could" .. Thanks, but I am actually very happy with how I look, I am very youthful and fit at 5ft.7 and 114 lbs. read more

The review is more so for the Pico laser procedure. Liz did the treatment and was informative and nice enough, however despite numbing cream, it was extremely painful that I couldn't even finish the treatment. I don't even have sensitive skin by the way, but seems whatever frequency was used on my skin should have been lowered as I have dark skin. Post treatment, didn't see an ounce of result, even though Liz said I should see some type of result. I am realistic and don't expect miracles on the 1st try but for spending $500, I felt I wasted my money. I did try to reach out to her post treatment for follow up, as she did me but we never were able to reach one another. I since gave up trying to reach her and will be seeking services from a laser center that deals with ethnic skin tones. read more

I had a Coolsculpting with Liz approximately one month ago. I received one applicator under the chin. She makes you feel so comfortable, and peak results are supposed to be at 3 months, but I'm already seeing great results at 1. The process itself was very easy, I was falling asleep! I would rate the pain 1/10, with the notorious massage after at about a 5. It just feels like suction, with a couple minutes like "oh ok it's starting now.." and then right after you know it's there but it's no bother at all. I also had mine turned up a bit because I felt so comfortable. The massage is necessary, but it's totally tolerable. She's super understanding too about it. It lasts for maybe 45 seconds then you're done! She made sure I was as comfortable as possible, and listened and gave honest input on other areas I was looking at improving. I will absolute be coming back, and I'm a big researcher. I decided not to do other consultations because of the positive experience I had. The staff are very friendly yet professional. read more

I really like Dr. Miller and his staff. Before I had my procedure done, I did my homework. I arranged consultations with a number of cosmetic surgeons, all of whom were Board Certified and came out of top-tier programs (not hard to find in Boston!). I felt by far the most comfortable communicating with Dr. Miller. I felt heard, and that he was engaged in the serious undertaking of contemplating my case and interested in my best possible outcome. He answered all my questions, showed me examples of his work, and told me what to expect. The surgery was a breeze. The nurses are wonderful and you know you're in good hands. I was back at work a few days later. Friends who had the same procedure done elsewhere kept warning it would be a few weeks before I could go out in public, or that I'd have complications - it really was just a few days and NO complications. I followed his instructions 100%, but feel he skill as a surgeon made the recovery easy. You have one face. You want it to look it's best and you want to get it right the first time. Dr. Miller is a perfectionist in his work and judicious in the procedures he will perform. He is the only surgeon I would ever let touch my face - he's bought out the best in my features and I am thrilled with my results. I had my jawline/neck and eyes done 18 months ago. Was not 100 percent happy so went back multiple times and told I needed a revision. My neck looks worse every day. I cannot live with it seriously. Now I have to find someone to help me. I'll update if I find a surgeon that makes it look right. I'm 49 with the neck if a 70 year old now. It's quite depressing. My eyes need work but I refuse to go through that again. Make sure you wait at least a year after Botox to get anything done. Six months was not long enough for mine to wear away. Was disappointed with the results. Was very costly but had no improvement from the services, Botox and fillers. Felt like appt was rushed no follow up and no regards to If I was satisfied. Once you pay and leave the office that's it. Unless you return for more services and is paying they could care less about the results or if there were any. I had no difference after my Botox and fillers. I had to find someone new to go to. You're only paying for the location and the office atmosphere. Disappointed and would not return. read more

I've been a client of Dr Miller's for over 10 years and he and his staff, both office and esthetians are fabulous! He is conservative, honest, realistic, and a perfectionist! He's also an artist of his craft, caring, funny, and a terrific man. I originally went to Dr Miller for a mini facelift and was amazed by the results! No severity, just refreshed, younger, no bruising due to his technique, and even my hairdresser couldn't find evidence of scarring behind my ears! A master indeed! 10 years later, another mini facelift, and a tummy tuck!! I went down 2 sizes from an 8 - 10 to a 4 - 6! All the extra skin was gone from 2 previous medical surgeries (hysterectomy and colon surgery)...and the uncomfortable feeling of extra skin from those previous surgeries! I came in to get rid of my "turkey" neck and tighten up jaw line. After the first procedure, my neck was perfect and tight. Jaw-line good too, But then very shortly thereafter my turkey neck was back, but to a lesser degree. After complaining, Dr. Miller had me come again for a to fix it for a reduced fee (I think it should have been free). He explained that men do not typically come out as well as women. Should i believe that? Again, after the procedure my neck was better. Unfortunately, now, about a year later, I still have some hanging skin. I've been going to Dr. Miller for many years. I had gone to Dr. Miller for a consult on what he thought I might do to make my eye's look better.I did not want to look like I had some thing done. He did such a fabulous job, that all my friends said you "look so rested". I've been returning for the rest of my plastic surgery needs. I have not been disappointed on any procedure. The office is friendly and quick with getting you an appointment, for whenever you want to go. They're good with calling you for cancellations and you feel at home. My experience has been very similar to the review below by Ruth K. A few months ago, I went to Dr. Miller's office for a very common injection that normally costs about $300. I called them and was quoted a price of $300-$350 for what I needed done. When I came in, I was told that since I am a new patient, and they don't know how much to give me they will give me the minimal dose and then, if necessary, I will come for a second appointment to follow-up. I had an injection, paid $350. However, after two weeks, I had no results at all. Not just weak results, but no results whatsoever. I called back and made a follow-up appointment. He added some more and, to my great surprise, at checkout I was charged another $150! I expected the follow-up to be free, as I paid a full price for a specific service the first time, and the reason he didn't give me enough was supposedly based on precaution. What is worse, even after the second injection, my results were minimal. In the end I paid $500 for what normally costs around $300 or less. I think they might be diluting their injections, as about a month later and still no results, I found another practice, got one injection, and got immediate and lasting results. The new place charged $330, comparable to what I paid previously (I recently moved from NYC, where prices are comparable to Boston). In addition, Dr. Miller is a little creepy. He constantly tried to sell me more services, and at some point he asked me what my husband did (to see how much he can milk me?). Unethical and predatory practice. read more

I've been going to Doctor Miller for several years and he's really helped keep my aging at bay with botox and fillers. Dr. Miller is extremely careful and conservative in his approach and he'll never push you to do more than you'd like and has, in fact, discouraged me from trying more invasive fixes. The worst,, too much advertisement for nothing, he literally misplaced the juvederm in my cheeks and now iam with a lump on z right side!!Inwent back to correct it he got mad and starting teling the worse things any women wants to hear, i should get a life and thnk abt other stuff yhn paying attention to small details, and that iam wasting his time by this follow up cuz he could have tken another client( wel yeah i wanted correction and had half a syringe of voluma so he wont get paid that day) and my face is very asymmetrical no other surgeon would luv to touch it!! He has performed surgical and non-surgical procedures on me for over 10 years, and the results are always beautiful and very natural-looking.
