I was recommended to Boston Equine about 2 years ago by a boarding facility ,( who I will not mention ) because I moved from R. I to Rehoboth mass , and was not familiar with the lay of the land . My R.I. vet and blacksmith would not come from R.I. to Rehoboth mass . I have a small farm with rescue animals . When I first called Boston Equine , it was for a foundering situation for one of my rescue ponies. He was good . Took ex-rays gave me some advice , gave her shots , and in time she recovered .Even though he wanted me to build her a little paddock and not leave her with her barn mates so she could interact . I , instead , cut the pasture down to nothing and put an Easy- Breath grazing mask on her and she fully recovered except she no longer liked the blacksmith working on her back feet . I then had to resort to giving her a mild sedative gel that I bought from said vet clinic so the blacksmith could do his job. Just recently I bought a tube from said vet , (and the locks on these syringes suck )I tested the lock on the plunger , seemed fine , shot it in her mouth , and the lock slipped and the whole thing emptied into her mouth ! I went into panic mode , ran back to the house and called Boston Equine , and I got an emergency number to call . I called it , and got another message to TEXT YOUR EMERGENCY. TEXT? That's like texting 911 ! I did . The female vet that texted me back was more concerned that my pony was not up to date on her shots by 2 years and was totally DISINTERESTED at the emergency at hand. I texted her "no problem , what should I do with the overdose right now, she responded I "can refer you to a couple vets if you 'd like ". I proceeded to call 2 more vets that put my mind at ease . The end result was fine , NO THANKS TO BOSTON EQUINE! I later texted her saying that ,. She called , NOT texted me RIGHT back and proceeded to SCREAM at me on the phone like a juvenile about the pony's vaccines being out of date , I had to scream back , what good are vaccines on a dead pony !
