My parents bring their dog here but I experienced them myself presently and they were all very nice and helpful. They answered many questions very thoroughly and were very patient with their overly crazy puppy.

#JusticeForOnyx Our cat lost is losing his eye because of this place and we will make sure everyone knows about it.. To some people he is just a cat to us he is part of our family.. If it was a person this would be considered malpractice "MY CAT HAS TO LOSE HIS EYE BECAUSE OF THIS PRACTICE.... Brought in my 4 month old kitten because I was concerned, there was a grayish film starting to appear over his eye. I paid $160 for drops and they gave him shots he didn't need at the time. They said he had a "Corneal Scratch" and gave Corneal Repair drops and an E-Collar. I called about a week later to tell them his eye was regressing and that I was sure he had an infection or something else going on. I told them it seemed like a Corneal Ulcer. They said to finish his drops and come back and discuss it with the vet at his follow- up appointment. I told them this was not something that could wait, that the drops were not working something else was going on. They said I could come in but there would be another charge. I understand they need to get paid, but the fact I already paid so much money and you want to charge me when your the one who misdiagnosed really upsets me. I took him else where because I wasn't about to pay more money to get another misdiagnosis. I took him to a vet hospital in RI. They told me it was in fact a Corneal Ulcer and by that time it had already ruptured and was no saving to it. His eye now needs to be removed. At the hospital I was told had they caught it on time (which I brought him on time), he would of just needed drops and antibiotics and been fine. I am so upset I would never ever go to this place again for any pet. A pet is just as important as a person to me. I'm definitely going to look further into the malpractice they have caused. But I would stay away from this place if you care about your pets! My kitten will be ok and will learn how to function. We are lucky it's just his eye he is losing. Even though its just his eye, that is still a major thing that is going to change his life forever so really it's not just an eye.. It could of been prevented and as a pet owner we did the right things since the first sign of something wrong. The vet did not do the right thing!"

Hello, my name is Saint. I was adopted from Miami 12/23. I'm 6 months old & living my best life…read morewith my new furever family Unfortunately, not only did my new family find out I was deaf 5 days later, I was also diagnosed with Ocular FIP 2/25/24. Luckily my mom was able to connect with Global FIP group on Facebook for amazing support & to get started on treatment 2/26. As time is not on my side with this deadly disease. We were also very lucky to be welcomed with open loving arms to Sylvans Animal Clinic. I just had my 1st of 6 rounds of CBC. My mom was very anxious about this with me being deaf there's no way to soothe me, until we walked through the door. The Doctor, technicians & receptionists were absolutely wonderful. They were ALL SO NICE & treated us both with such tender loving care. My mom & I couldn't be more happier with their services. Not to mention, I really loved & appreciated the comfort kisses on my head & neck while my blood was being drawn. Thats how my mom comforts me So we wanted to leave a much deserved AWESOME review in hopes to remind other pet parents out there, to be gentle & extra kind to the ones that are caring for our fur babies. On a side note....We were absolutely disgusted & felt really bad to watch a grown man before us yelling & being so disrespectful to ALL the (female) staff that were helping him. YOU BULLY!!! It took everything in me to keep my mouth shut. SHAME ON HIM!!!!! PLEASE REMEMBER to treat people how you want to be treated, especially if they are caring for your fur babies Thank you again Sylvan Animal Clinic

I'm honestly not sure what happened to this vet. At first, they were great. Now (the last 2/3…read moreyears) it's like they can't be bothered. You call to make an appointment and they don't have a vet dr! What vet doesn't have a veterinarian! They are rude on the phone and the big thing for me, they misdiagnosed my dog and now he's dead. I moved my other pets to a different vet because these people need to really get their s*it together. (And this started before covid hit!)

Sadly, we had to bring our senior pet to be put to sleep as she had developed serious health issues…read moreand was in pain. East Bay Animal Hospital was able to give us a same day appointment. When we arrived, we were able to park in the lot behind the building, and there is a ramp leading up to the entrance. The waiting room is clean and spacious, with separate spaces for dogs and cats. Animals are required to be leashed or in a carrier. We were treated with kindness by the veterinarian and technicians, and the room we were placed in was also clean. The veterinarian treated our pet very nicely and everything went smoothly. I would recommend this practice to anyone needing end of life care for their pet, and the only reason I am giving them 4 stars rather than 5 is that the cost of this service was much higher than expected. In fact, it would have been less expensive for us to go to a 24 hour emergency veterinary office. Otherwise, the kindness and care we received here was excellent.

From the front desk staff to Dr Elizabeth Murdock this is by far the very best care your fur baby…read more(pet) will ever receive. They truly care for every patient (pet) that comes through the door!! Their upfront and concise communication and compassion is superior. Mizzou, our 17 year old cat, truly loves her visits with Dr Murdock and her staff. She gets compliments, extra snuggles and gentle loving scratches. Honestly, my husband, me and Mizzou trust the staff here and we know they will do all they can to keep Mizzou healthy and pain free. Highly recommend East Bay Animal Hospital!

Have brought our dog(s) to Sakonnet since 2007. Used to be a very friendly place to do business…read morewith 4-5 experienced vets who were all keenly interested in our pets health and well being. Slowly over the years some of older vets retired, the practice got smaller and the service slowly deteriorate. Finally the last of the original vets (Dr Rhinehart) retired and I'm assuming the practice has been sold to new owners. For about a year (maybe longer) they did business out of a trailer in very cramped quarters. Recently we had an appointment for our remaining dog that we had to cancel at the last minute due to a family medical emergency. We rescheduled the appointment but they insisted on charging us $32 for a missed appointment as well. We asked them as a courtesy to remove the charge since we were long time customers with no previous missed appointments. They refused and refused to sell us heartworm meds unless we also paid the $32 missed appointment fee. We are now changing vets. Disappointing!

Charged $67 15mL Surolan Otic. She didn't even attempt to clean his ears. I asked her how much should a 20 lb lab be eating. Never got an answer. She was too obsessed with selling more vaccines and medications. I asked her to test his chip to see if it was compatible with their machine. She never tested it. I found her dismissive and rude. We will not be returning to this office. Bill $340 for rushed visit.
