I'll start by saying I only had the pizza. The lunch meal deal is 15 Canadian dollars and includes a small salad and a drink. I came in about 2:30 PM. Server was very nice. Now, in general pizza in Ottawa is not very good. So if this were elsewhere this pizza would be a 2/5. For Ottawa, it is a solid 3 out 5 maybe even a 4/5 but I can't rate Ottawa's mediocre pizza that high. The pizza was well cooked so 5/5 on the bread part. Ottawa uses a weird cheese blend that never seems fully melted and kinda gritty. 2/5 for cheese. Sauce, like all Ottawa pizza sauce too sweet. 2/5. Pepperoni though nicely crisped. 5/5. It seems Boston Pizza is not well rated in Ottawa but this branch MIGHT be ok for food, and certainly is good for pizza. I ordered online for pickup a large Deluxe pizza on Aug 21. The total cost $54 for a for a pizza that was quite subpar compared to other pizza joints in Barrhaven. I decided to customize the pizza with the following extra toppings: -Spinach -Chicken -Roasted red peppers While the pizza flavour was good, the amounts of the extra toppings was a joke. 5 leaves of spinach, about 12 cubes or rubber texture like chicken, and the red peppers were fixed but hardly roasted. We went here on a whim for lunch on a weekday with our little dude, who was 11 months old. It was a nice, breezy day, not too hot, so we sat on the patio and got a high chair for the babe. The regular metal chair was actually too deep for a petite person like myself, so I sat at the edge of the seat. I ordered the Boston-Sized Burger and a "Boston Size" White Sangria Smash. The burger was huge! It had two quarter-pound beef patties, cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, and their signature cactus dip on a toasted brioche bun. The patties were thick and juicy, cooked perfectly. I appreciated that the cheese was in between the patties. The toppings were fresh and crisp. I also upgraded to a side of yam fries, which were perfectly fried and came with what I think was the same cactus dip as the burger. It had a little kick but not spicy, in my opinion. Everything came nice and hot. The little guy really enjoyed bits and pieces of the meal as well. It was his first time eating out and the staff was so nice and accommodating, service was fast. Very kid-friendly place, at least in the patio, where kids can check out the flowers and watch the cars go by. The white sangria was good, sweet but not as sweet as others as I've had. It was actually nice to see the fruit at the bottom, then limes floating on top of the drink, then ice on top of the limes. It made it so that it the ice didn't water it down as it melted. Refreshing. My husband had the chicken parmesan and a Boston Size Coors Light. The chicken parm came with garlic toast, seasonal vegetables, and choice of one side. He wasn't paying attention to the menu and thought spaghetti came with it, plus another side, but the side you order is actually what you get and you'd have to order spaghetti if you wanted it. The vegetables were just plain steamed broccoli, no butter or salt, so he gave some to our baby, but they were otherwise too plain and simple for my husband. He enjoyed the chicken parm and the Caesar salad. A few people came in after us with their kids and sat on the patio as well. It's spacious and covered. The only thing is I wish it wasn't so close to the gas station because sometimes you can smell the gas. Otherwise, it's a great spot! read more

Got here just after 10pm after searching a ton of places open nearby... The hostess has got to be one of the most energetic ones I've seen especially at this hour. She definitely gave it a positive vibe as soon as we went in to ask for a table for 2. Our server was also very quick! Order was taken in quickly and accurately, drinks were served promptly, and food didn't take long at all to get on the table. I HAVE to compliment their new menu item, the cactus nachos . OH-EM-GEE! The dip was also amazing. It had a small twist of spice to it, so much better than your typical nachos. Pizza we ordered was also great, along with the shrimp pasta. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We went to Boston pizza on friday and it was not a pleasant experience. My son warned me not to go but sadly I didn't listen. My meal was a spicy pierogi pizza, but it wasn't spicy at all. For my drink I ordered a soda water and it arrived in a plastic bottle. NO CUP, NO ICE. My daughter's meal was just a cheeseburger and fries from the kids menu, but the cheese was not melted at all and was very cold. My son's meal was chicken wings with onion rings and celery, I ordered ONLY CELERY for him, but it arrived with carrots and extra celery on the side, which I had to pay extra for. And his drink was a unicorn lemonade, which looked nothing like the picture and was just tea, NO LEMONADE. Even with a free kids meal for my daughter, I had to pay extra for the WORMS AND DIRT... AND THE CHEESEBURGER! The only good part was there was the Rangers vs Panthers hockey game on. It was easy to see the tv from our booth. Go panthers! read more

Took our two kids here mid afternoon today and ordered a few appetizers. It took over an hour to get our food as the kitchen lost our order. Chicken nachos were okay but a smallish portion. We had also ordered sweet potato fries from the appetizer menu and the portion size was so small it was laughable -- and cost $9.49! It looked like a side dish you'd serve from a children's menu. Waitress was a sweetheart but this family will definitely be going somewhere else the next time we want to treat ourselves. Way overpriced for what you get! read more

Verdict: A comedy of errors on valentine's day left something to be desired. So, we decided to hit this place up on valentine's day, as for some reason we had a hankering for a heart shaped pizza. It was quite busy, however we were seated quickly. Upon arrival at our table, the waiter took our simple drink orders, and was reasonably prompt in returning with them. Upon his return, we provided our orders for food right away, including appetizers and mains, thinking this would speed up the order. Close to half an hour later, the waiter returns to inform us that he "hadn't put the order in properly", and that things would still be a while. In my opinion, completely unacceptable when there is a young child waiting for dinner. I would have expected at least a complimentary bread stick, but mistakes happen. Another half an hour later, the mains show up, with no sign of the apps. The apps then arrive about 5 minutes later, and it then looks like we've ordered enough food to feed a football team, with it barely fitting on the table. Once we were nearly done the meal, we ordered a refill on an iced tea and a coke, which seems to have flown off into the ether, as the waiter returned about 10 minutes later with a bill, a debit machine, and nothing else. Also, I almost forgot to mention, something has obviously happened to the food quality at this location. The pizza was, at BEST, on par with a frozen Delissio that was overcooked. Everyone has a bad night, and I'm not sure exactly what happened on this occasion, but I won't be rushing back. It's too bad, because until recently, the food quality and service was actually really good for a large chain restaurant. read more

I've been going here since childhood same set up and design but it's comforting to say the least. Very clean and the service is always excellent. Tonight I. Ate with my parents and we had an friendly waitress who said she was new but did a fantastic job serving our table. Great meal all in all. I always order the Bugs and Cheese and the steam vegetables. Both are good and I always have a little extra to bring home and save for a midnight snack. Cocktails are awesome too and the sangria I would recommend. Predictable i.e. safe and not bad. Pasta Tuesdays are a great deal, but be warned that the Alfredo sauce is very bland. I find the pizza too expensive for what you get, so I actually go there for other things on the menu. Appetizers are also very good. Can be 4 stars considering the deals and if you are careful what you order, otherwise only 3 stars. Wine selection is good, beer selection not so good. Staff are friendly and skilled. I ordered a salad with cheese. Got no cheese. The bad part is the salad was sooo small, I actually had to add my own lettuce to make it a normal size. I ordered the starter salad and there was a kid sad. The kid salad was way bigger. Not sure how that makes sense. The time before that I was in and ordered the same salad and had way more in it. I ordered nachos in house and I'd say majority of the nachos were plain. About ten out of 30 had a small amount of cheese on them. This is a complete rip off. Seems like because covid happened your trying to make up for losses by ripping off your customers. I got the perogies burger and yam fries, and my fiancé got wings (salt and pepper and medium). Both of our meals were good. The wings needed a bit more meat though! We also got a twisted rocket drink which I recommend. It was tasty! read more

It's right around the corner so we visit here a lot. Our favourite is the bandera bread but we love popping in for a sweet cheese cake. The service is almost always great, sometimes exceptional. We recently ordered bandera bread and it came to us dry and over-cooked. The server knew it and was and was quick to respond that it didn't look right. She returned it but the second one came back the same and she didn't even put it on the table, her face said it all. It was really disappointing but the server was so apologetic and they were super busy so we were forgiving. The next time we went it was on-target again!! Very good food. read more

Very disappointed on my first experience doing take out. Delivery was unavailable even though it's advertised all over they do. We received our pesto chicken pasta and Mediterranean veggie bowtie BOTH with hair in them. The pesto chicken had a long brown hair in it and the veggie bow tie with a small brown hair. I understand the odd hair gets into food but in both our orders? Begs the question of what does really go on in the kitchen. Been to this location dozens of times and always get what I ordered. Cheap family restaurant. I was not happy with my pasta. My shrimp were not cooked right. Tasted like everything was microwaved in a bag then placed on my pasta. My fault I guess.. This place has gone DOWHILL ! A large group of us often go evenings and usually sit in the bar area for sports events. We use to come in at least once a week when "pappy" was at the bar because he was so great to us. This new guy straight up sucks ! He's rude , his service , is way below acceptable and I personally feel he knows it but doesn't care. We will NEVER return for that reason . I've tried to give him benefit of the doubt but his service disappoints time and time again ! If I were management train him better in customer service or just get rid of him because I consider us regular and valuable customers . We've been going to BP for many many years but having had sooo many horrible experiences with your new evening bartender/server that is no longer an option because I don't appreciate paying for a night of garbage service and being treated poorly as a client . This does not reflect on every location nor have I experienced this place at lunch but as for the evening experience especially with the new bartender I'm done with this place . Hopefully management sees this review and brings up or acknowledges my concern with this place and that certain employee ! read more
