I've been to this Boston Pizza twice now (there seems to be a theme with me being twice to the places I'm reviewing today, weird). Both times I sat in the bar area because tables were available and it's self-seating. On my first visit, it was around 11:30am and the place was pretty dead. There was one person working in the bar, but with almost no customers (at the start of my visit). It filled up as lunchtime​ went by​ but still wasn't crazy busy. On my second visit​,​ I was there around the same time, but it was a Friday and the place was packed. Thankfully, they had more than one person working in the bar that day. Service was about the same both visits -- decent -- and the food was good. It was served fast, which is always nice, and I always order the lunch deal, so it was priced well (some of the things on the BP menu are really expensive). Both visits I ordered a Diet Pepsi, and both times I forgot to ask for no straw. I'm getting into the habit of asking for no straw, but I sometimes do forget. I've decided to start reducing my reviews by 1 star when a restaurant serves me a drink with a disposable plastic straw. Unfortunately, BP is one of those places that still put​ a plastic straw in their soda fountain drinks and I really wish they wouldn't. As a veteran patron of Boston Pizza I walked into this joint with the confidence that the food would be up to its typical Boston Pizza quality and standards.. But as my waitress brought me my Blue Cheese with Bacon Prime Rib Burger... I was like HELLLLLLLLL NOOOOOOOOO!!! I thought to myself that I ordered a juicy prime rib burger not a dried out hockey puck patty.. I would have to admit that I am somewhat of a burger connoisseur and this was by far the worst burger I have ever TRIED to bite into. To make a long story short.. I passed up the manager offered comps to replace that sawdust disc of a patty, paid my discounted bill and ended up down the street at Wendy's ordering a Bacon Deluxe with Cheese combo. HEY!! at least the burger was juicy!!! :) So if you are ever at this Boston Pizza locale.. Beware the busted-up, dried out, juice-less prime rib hockey puck! read more

I am usually very quick to compliment an establishment when it surpasses what I consider great service and food. Unfortunately, I cannot rave about this Boston Pizza. We ordered the onion rings as an appetizer and 45 minutes later it came after a visit from the Manager apologizing for the delay. No explanation just an apology. Being Pasta Night, my wife ordered Penne with chicken and peppers, while I ordered spaghetti with shrimp. While this part of the order came fairly quickly it was Luke warm at best. The sauce was way too bland and my wife's chicken was bone dry. It is difficult to find something good to say about our experience here. I will say that the appetizer which took so long to come was by far the best part of the meal. read more

Whatever you do- don't complain about the food! Emotionally stunted and passive-aggressive staff will ensure your dining experience is a nightmare. This place hates you and your kids. The food is never fresh and nobody understands quality. I once had a manager tell me that there was no sauce on my noodles because the noodles soaked it all up in one minute. Working out of town...except, it's my hometown. Stopped into BP because I like the pecan salad - even though I don't like pecans!! So...bar was 2/3 full. Busy for 9pm. Raptors game on...but had Senators on main screen. I chose a seat at the bar. The last seat closest to where the servers pick up their drinks. Bartender Kim seemed overwhelmed. And asked another girl Tiffany for help. The other girl didn't complain and stepped up. I wasn't sure what they had on draft - it seems to change alot. Instead of asking, Kim just ignored me when I didn't answer her instantly what I wanted. Ended up waiting 5 mins for her attention again in spite of a "regular" getting immediate service beside me. Oh well. When She finally asked me, she served it fast. I was 1/2 Done my beer sipping it slowly before she asked me what I wanted to eat... I ordered the pecan salad...sans pecans. It came in a timely fashion and looked great. It tasted great. I was very pleased with my meal....BUT... This one waitress Amy...in spite of me NOT moving my chair into the "server pickup" space...she bumped me continuously whileI was eating my dinner and at one point asked me to move because she "needs the space to serve HER customers. She overfilled her tray and proceeded to drop the whole thing 5' away from the bar. She came back the the bar cussing and carrying on. Every time she was beside me...all she did was complain about the customers and say bad things including some slightly offensive things. I'm not one to speak up. I know the job is tough... but at one point Amy was bitching about her tip... I mean seriously??? Everyone knows the machine tips out including the tax...so get over it - maybe smile and give better service eh?!? I love how fast they give the bill but how slow they are to take your first order!! Ordered 2 pounds of boneless wings and a burger. The wings were not really wings but fried breading with no chicken whatsoever inside. Literally not a single bite of chicken. Very disappointed that I paid 25$ for those oversized bread crumbs. read more

Boston Pizza is a good family-friendly choice for dinner. They have a broad menu with sandwiches, pizza, pasta among other things. The pizzas aren't very large but our kids like them as well as their chicken wings. The pasta dishes are generously sized and tasty. They often run promotional specials which we recommend checking out. Their prices are OK but definitely watch out for the "up-sell" - many things like upgrading from garlic toast to cheese toast is an additional charge. It's frequently busy and the service can be slow on occasion, but is always friendly. The restaurant is good-sized and they have a large bar and outdoor patio as well. Boston Pizza is a very good community member, sponsoring many charitable events. There are two locations in Peterborough, both conveniently located with lots of parking. read more

Boston Pizza is a really great dining experience. Just before Christmas my husband and I went for our Christmas dinner with a very dear friend, and the waitress was very friendly and upbeat and kind. She always managed to put a smile on our faces and was very witty and funny. This is the kind of customer service I wouldn' t mind seeing more of. The food was amazing as well. Sevice was horrible food was cold and all items did not even come togther with meal. To much brandy in the strawberry daiquiri s also.
