Yes Boston Pizza is a typical chain restaurant but this is my all time fav location. Why you ask? The service here is one of the friendliest and best I have experienced in any chain restaurant I have ate at. I was at this location tonight for dinner. I ordered the tacos. A few diced tomatoes, a whole lot of shredded lettuce, pizza mozzarella and a little bit of chicken. I had to ask for the cheese. We were cheerfully greeted in the bar by our server Fiona. There was also seating in the big dining room but we wanted to watch sports on several large screens. This is my first time at this Warden and Eglinton location. Thursday before an extended long weekend and Boston Pizza's Appy Hour is on from 3-6pm & 9pm-close (Sunday to Thursday). Our beverage of choice is an 18oz domestic draft for $5.00. From the snack-sized applies menu, we're sampling the Yam Fries $4.00, Shrimp Taco $4.00, and Wings $6.00 for 5 baked/fried/boneless in a variety of flavours. Overall, tasty and delicious! My friend and I were in the area and both of us wanted pasta, so we decided to come here. I usually don't expect much from any Boston Pizza location, so here it goes.. I got the Jambalaya fettuccine and it was just okay. The portions were really huge at this location, however I felt like it could've had way more flavour in it. I was literally picking out the meat and eating it (the meat tasted really good), because the pasta dish wasn't amazing and usually this dish is. The garlic bread tasted more better than the actual pasta dish, it was pretty sad. Service was okay. I came in for their Pasta Tuesday special last night. Gourmet Pasta specials $11.99 Make your own pasta specials $8.99 I always get the jambalaya fettuccine. My bf got the baked chipotle cheese penne since they no longer have his go to buffalo chicken sandwich on the menu which is upsetting. It's always a hit or miss at this location. But tonight was miss! When entering in we sat on the bar side of the restaurant. We didn't see our server or any staff for at least 10-15 mins. Found out there was only one server for the night; which is odd because they usually have one bartender and 2 waitress. When I receive my pasta it wasn't the same taste as I remember. It was more bland and had no good seasoning. My bf pasta was the same and his portion wasn't as big as mine. He ask for no mushroom but still had mushroom in his pasta and it tasted very bad. I would not recommend there baked cheese chipotle penne pasta at all! Overall, I really do like Boston pizza when I'm with friends for a quick appetizer and drinks if I had to go since it's close to home for me. But I really don't recommend this location. Thursday night we had a going away party for my co-worker who also got a job downtown. We wanted to go some place local and hopefully on the patio. Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be as the bar and patio were booked by a corporate party. Phooey! The hostess got a table of 10 in the dining room and she actually put the tables together herself. Good service. We had to wait while the rest of our party showed up. There was a lady who was taking care of us for the first half hour for drinks only and then she disappeared, never to be seen again. We had to wave down a waiter and we told him that she did not come back to take our meal orders. He informed us that he instead would be taking care of us for the rest of the night. Strange that they both did not tell us before hand. Not really impressed. I ordered what I always order when I go to Boston Pizza. An individual Rustic Italian pizza. It is my "favourite" pizza at this place. Their pizza is so-so to OK and it is hella overpriced. For many years, it has never blew me away and I never really want to eat pizza here because of it's mediocrity . It's just "there". I always choose other pizza establishments which are much better and you pay for better taste. I have ordered pasta at this franchise and it is absolutely horrible. Some of the worst pasta I have ever had in my life! Sometimes I think, why are they still in business? The pizza came and it looked decent as it always does. Big chunky toppings (too big if I were to criticize), cooked to okay standards, crispy crust, same 'ole tired story. I finished my meal and was satisfied, I enjoyed it and was content. Only giving 3 stars because food is good. Went June 30, 2020 around 18:00. Patio was busy, no matter, I went for take out. My entire issue isn with the server, whose name I did not get. There were 3 servers on the floor. The one I dealt with has reddish-blonde hair. She is the Caucasian server without tattoos. I observed her process a take out order, paid by cash. She handled cash, gave cash change, then immediately went back into kitchen and came back out holding 2 dishes, on her way to deliver them to the patio. She had her right thumb INSIDE the bowl she was carrying! The amount of time that elapsed from her entering the kitchen area until she departed with the dishes was far too quick for her to have even put sanitizer on her hands, let alone washed them!! The entire time I observed her she did not have her nose covered by her mask. What is far worse, and egregious, is that I actually saw her, on EVERY CUSTOMER INTERACTION, LOWER HER MASK FURTHER AND EXPOSE HER MOUTH WHEN SHE WAS TALKING TO CUSTOMERS! I could not believe what I was seeing! We are in the middle of a pandemic and this woman acts like this? It would appear that the reason for wearing a mask in the first place, to protect others, is lost on her. She also has a habit of leaning in towards people when she speaks, and has absolutely no sense of physical distancing either!! I observed this happen with 8 customers, including me! Luckily I was wearing a mask and backed away when she did so with me, a hint she did not get. There was no manager visible, and to my shame I bit my tongue and did not confront her for her behavior, something I now very much regret. This location needs to address this, right now! I am sure they have video surveillance of the area, it will be easy to verify the veracity of my claims here. As I said, the food was good, better than good even, but when I do return, if I see her working I will be turning around and going somewhere else if she does not have her mask on properly, and keeping the mask on when talking with customers! I am NOT saying fire her, I am saying TRAIN her, and make it clear what her responsibilities are in this regard. read more

Ok I'll be upfront with all of you. I'm a fan of Boston Pizza. That also makes a good reviewer because I'll tell you if the Boston Pizza is bad, because I'm used to their food. Well like Any Boston Pizza this has the atmosphere you'd expect. A Sporty family friendly dinning room which has moderate lighting and the odd TV in the corners. The hosts are both competent and friendly at this location and rarely if ever using recent memory have ever gotten an order wrong. I usually end up buying a Pizza from them however I do buy other food items as well. I generally enjoy their menu and the taste of their food. It's not a five star restaurant but if you are going to eat out for example you are thinking of a place like Casey's, Pizza Hut or Swiss Charlet, then you should try out Boston Pizza and I would recommend this location if you are near by. This location will be the typical service and food you will get at a well run Boston Pizza. read more

I come to this Boston Pizza location often. Food is good, staff is average, nothing special. Staff could be a bit more welcoming and inviting. Restaurant could use a bit of a renovation - the booths have some old fashion patterns on it and the carpet as well. I always get the cheese ravioli I and it's always great! Last time I asked for the tomato sauce but got the meat sauce instead and as I am vegetarian I had to ask the waitress to take it back. She was very apologetic and my food arrived in a timely manner. I have been craving the cactus cut fries for a few weeks since seeing ads for it. We got the Cheesesteak cactus fries which were good but got boring real fast.. next time I will stick with the nachos. For meals my Wife and I ordered the steak and veggies which if you are counting calories or watching your waistline this is the ideal choice. I was a bit put off that the steak came with the fat still on but ya can't have everything. The veggies were good, steamed broccoli, cauliflower, and other yummy veggies as well as a tasty salad with incredible dressing.. the above meal I believe was posted at 440 calories and 44 grams of protein 330g of sodium which was a real nice surprise. I'm not really a fan of Scarborough but am always here due to the LA Fitness location that opened the past year. That being said, I have been going to this Boston Pizza quite a bit lately, and wanted to share some thoughts on the service, food and atmosphere. It is almost always empty everytime I go, with at the most, 10-15 people in the restaurant spread across 3-4 tables. Even with nights where there are specials ($10.99 pasta on Tuesdays) there are a limited number of people whenever I go. I should say that I do go late, so maybe that's my interpretation but it is in a pretty bad location right at the intersection of Warden & Eglinton. The service is okay. The staff don't seem to enjoy their jobs and you can almost always hear them talking about their tips and customers they have served recently. Nobody seems to be upbeat and you can catch some of them frequently taking smoke breaks. The pastas are not that great and are definitely a rip off if you are paying full price for them. Even on the special night, it's pretty pricey for the quality but it is a warm meal and it's a good place to eat with a loved one or friend. All in all, it's a standard Boston Pizza, the food is adequate to above adequate and there are many TV's. The service could be better, but it isn't bad so will not hold it against them. Have had better though. They do takeouts and they are always having promotions and specials. Keep an eye out for those. Without them, this place is pricey. 3/5 and still would recommend over Moxies or Milestones. read more

Went in with my wife, we both order pasta. First off, this was first I received from any Boston Pizza. I've order Jambalaya Fettuccine and add extra order off mushrooms. 10 mins later I received something completely different pasta order and asked the server to have this changed. The waitress had worst attitude about it was never apologetic for mistake done by kitchen. 10 mins later, she returned to the table but this time I asked if the mushrooms was added to pasta. The waiter assured me, there was indeed mushroom. Slowly I noticed one mushroom and called over the waitress again. She started accusing me that mushroom was added but after showing 1 PIECE of Mushrooms, she in fact gave mushrooms on side, which I never ordered. I waited over 20 mins, and wanted to get drink but noticed she was avoiding our table and felt we were discriminated by this waitress as she kept skipping our table and never asked if we were in need of refill of drinks. At this point, I was annoyed and upset, paid the bill and left the restaurant. I've spoke to the hostess, as I wanted complain in regards to serves myself and my wife had. I spoke to manager, who didn't even apologize once for any mistake of order or service I received. This is one of worst BP in Scarborough, and I will never would recommend anyone to this place and they do deserve 0 stars if that was option. read more

Had dinner at this Boston Pizza last night and the service was friendly and competent. The place was not busy and we ended up there because the restaurant next door that we had intended on eating at was full and there was a wait. We wanted to see a movie so chose to go elsewhere. The food was abysmal, we had the perogies and the steak with mashed potatoes. The steak was very thin and grisly. I ordered my steak med rare and because it was so thin the fat was uncooked but it was med rare and chewy. The potatoes were cold and the veg consisted of three carrot slices and raw onion. I had asked for mushrooms with my steak and it was brought with un cooked slices of mushrooms on top of the steak. The perogies were hot and bland and left my dinner partner with an upset stomach. We ordered boston cream pie and apple crumble for dessert and both were inedible. The boston cream pie was huge and simply awful. The crumble was so sweet as to be inedible. In fairness one doesn't go to a restaurant like Boston Pizza looking for haute cuisine but at least it should be edible. A burger from McDonalds would have been better. read more

The bartender looked at me and ignored me and continued chatting away with someone at the bar so I grabbed a menu and sat myself as I was pretty hungry. A good place for a family meal. Nice, but not fancy. Wait staff were very friendly. Lots of sports on the many large screen TVs all over the walls in the dining area, which you can ignore if you want to as they are high enough. The food was good. It was a while back since I've been there for good reasons. The food was fine(regular pub food) and appearance looks fine, but service was terrible if you have to wait for your food for over an hour and the restaurant was not busy at all. I like to give people second chance so I went back a second time but the wait was almost an hour and a half for the food to arrive after ordering. Been there twice at this location with more people the second time, and both times the restaurant wasn't busy when arrived and sat at a table in the bar area and both times the wait for the food took forever to arrive after ordering. The first time the waitress told us the kitchen lost order, the second time no explanation. The second time was worst in that it was a longer wait and the person that finally brought our food was a manager or assistant manager (short young white male) and no explanation. I don't know why this happend twice. Both times it wasn't busy and a very long wait for our food. I've been going over my mind why, did the kitchen lose our order twice? I did notice people who came after us got their order before us, remember it wasn't busy and it's easy to see what's going on around us like people coming in or going out. One other thing I also noticed was we were the only table both times with visable minorities. I'm not saying racist because I did see an asian waitress in the dining room when we came in, but it does make you wonder being the only table with visable minorities at the time. What could have helped was someone could have came and told us there would be a delay with our order and why and asked if we still wanted our order than have us sit there for over an hour thinking why the delay. I blame management mainly because they're the ones in charge. One reason why I'm still upset over this after all this time is because I suggested to go there the first time and the second time because I wanted to give them a second chance, which makes me partially responsible for not having a positive experience. I may give Boston Pizza another chance but not at that location and not anytime soon.
