Have now had to hire someone I can trust to correct the work on all my trim work.

The negative we had was the project leader for the day of work seemed to have cut corners in several places. It started with not all of the work being done that was on the invoice. The office believed me and sent out a worker to check and they validated the work was not done that was in the invoice. When Mass Save came to inspect the work, they also found the light covers were not installed correctly. All and all, it required 4 visits to complete the work for a variety of reasons.

When the work was completed, our Building Inspector flagged the work for an insufficient amount of blown-in insulation. Months passed. When Rogers came back for the re-do, they didn't bring enough tubing to reach the attic opening, so they had to go back to Framingham to get more. This despite the fact that the company had already done work here previously, and should have known how much tubing was needed. In the end, the job was done correctly, per the Building Inspector, but the process required more of my time and attention than it should have, with appointments and phone calls. Also without the Building Inspection, we would not have know that insufficient insulation had been installed.

Bruin came recommended highly to me by a friend of mine. We received multiple quotes for the job and Bruin's was by far the best for a set of new double hung Harvey windows. Bill was great in coming out for the measurements and getting us the quote. It was simple to secure the job as we could make the deposit by credit card. Bruin's office stayed in touch to let us know of the timeframe for the job. Their crew showed up on time on the scheduled day and finished even faster than we assumed. They also cleaned up nicely. A great job all-around and I'd definitely recommend them for window replacements and use them again myself.

When I called to ask why no one arrived, the response I received was dismissive, as if my call were an inconvenience rather than a legitimate question. I'm actually glad they never showed. If a company can't manage a simple appointment, how could they possibly handle a major project worth tens of thousands of dollars, on schedule and with professionalism? The workmanship was top quality. Andrii (Project Manager) who manages the project did an excellent job on the logistics of the project i.e. the ordering of the supplies, the scheduling, the personnel, the flow of the manpower needed on the job (also checking on the work and addressing any concerns). Their tradesmen are very professional and courteous, if you have an issue, they will look into fixing it. UBrothers finish products are quality craftmanship because I see the fitted joints are aligned up perfectly and straight. They understand the customers' needs and alleviate any pitfalls. They cleaned up at the end of every day on the job rather well. At the end of the job, all the utilities (mailbox hookup, doorbell, street address #, exterior wall lights, etc.) were re-established. Heavy rains again last night and the roof and chimney flashing from watertite roof leaked again…read more When it was installed and I complained it still leaked, they came back and put caulking under the flashing without even stopping to talk. Later told me it was my chimney that was leaking but I had that repaired and it's dry as a whistle. They don't stand by their work. They at least installed a rubber roof correctly.

Towards the end of last year, I had several companies come out and quote for a full roof…read morereplacement. Golden Group gave me the best feeling about the job from the initial discussion. Where other contractors canceled appointments, arrived late, or were just no-shows - Mikel (out of their Hudson office) arrived on time and did a thorough assessment of the roof including taking drone footage. He sat with me and walked me through the whole process clearly, explaining all my choices in materials and didn't push any product or add-on. I did receive marginally cheaper quotes, but they did not leave me feeling like my home was in good hands in the same way that Mikel did, and I felt the extra money was likely to be worth it. Once I decided to go ahead with them, again, everything was done very professionally. I was kept informed of times and everybody showed up exactly when they said they would. I made a small change to the scope of the work in replacing additional plywood sections of the roof, and these were easily accommodated on short notice. On the day of the work, the crew showed up on time and Jurgan (the site foreman) kept everything moving with minimal disruption to us. I was working from home, and my wife and kids were in and out of the house for school and errands. Despite replacing the entire roof of the main building and two additions over approximately 9 hours, there was minimal disruption to our days. The house was protected during the work, and even with snow still on the ground, their cleanup crew constantly walked the property picking up and disposing of any debris, nails, old material etc. Ultimately the roof was replaced successfully and looks good. Every step of the job was explained to me, every question answered, and every decision explained. The team was professional, punctual and courteous throughout. They were very very professional & polite & easy to have there doing the work when the work was being done .

I called and Berge picked up, he explained that they don't do window repairs but if I were in front of the windows he could walk me through how to identify the problem, possibly fix it myself or find a handyman to fix it. When I got in front of the windows he talked me through how to take the windows out of the track, identified that the "shoe" wasn't attached and that's why they won't stay open. After I got off the phone with him, I followed his instructions to get the shoe unstuck from the bottom of the track and managed to get them reattached to the windows, and now they both stay open! So incredibly helpful! If we needed to replace those windows we would definitely have gone back to Berge for it.
