We needed new doors for our bathroom and laundry room that were literally falling apart. They were obviously very cheap, particle board. I connected with Joe via Yelp on a Sunday afternoon and by the following Wednesday morning - all doors were replaced! That included a site visit to do the measuring - ordering - picking up the doors, and the final installation. His estimate was very fair for the value - and the final price was exactly as expected. He didn't mark up the materials either. He was prompt, professional, and did excellent work - hold away all the old doors and clean things up beautifully. He even helped me out with a few doors in our 1910 house that have never really closed properly - and without hesitation, offered to help sand them down to get a proper fit. I received an estimate for his labor and a separate one for the materials from a lumber supply store. Unfortunately, because of Covid, getting building materials was not easy. The job included everything from spot installation of foam insulation to drywall to flooring and finish painting. He was very proactive communicating, flexible with my decision making process (sometimes fast, sometimes slow), and opinionated/experienced at all the right moments to help me work through pros and cons of certain decisions. He managed subs for some aspects of the job and did other parts completely on his own. From what I could see, he was tactical and sensitive about when the speed or cost of subs made the most sense. I was very satisfied with the service. I had him do a bunch of odd jobs around the house which included grouting, door latch repair, painting etc. He was able to accomplish all of the issues with speed and efficiency. When I asked him to come back because part of the grouting didn't take, he came back free of charge to diagnose and fix the issue (which he didn't without any fuss or complaint). He was extremely professional and delivered excellent service. My one criticism is that he is a bit on the pricey side. If you want someone reliable and good I highly recommend Joe Handyman service. However if you are on a strict budget, you may want to shop around for a bit (though I would not guarantee the same type of service you'd get) read more
