You could not ask for better quality of work or service. Guitarists on the central coast are very fortunate to have a repair service of this quality without having to go to a major music metropolis such as LA, Nashville or New York. I took a risk and purchased a Martin 000-42 off eBay at what seemed to be a low price. In fact, it needed some work. Butch's took it on with virtually no notice and did an unbelievably quick turnaround. The result was a superb playing and sounding guitar. The cost of the work was very reasonable. Butch's guitar repair is simply the best around. He tackles everything from a simple setup to major overhaul. It doesn't matter whether you have an acoustic or electric guitar; he does an amazing job and does so with a friendly attitude. Had Boswell do a major repair on my older Martin D42. I was told the guy knows what he is doing. He had to totally dismantle this guitar. Everything taking down to bare bone and reassembled. I didn't know what to expect. What a surprise when I received the guitar. One word would be spectacular! The finish was as new. The sound big , deep and bold. They installed a K&K Trinity Mini system in may D28 Martin Marquis. They did a great job and were VERY supportive after the fact - since I found myself completely unable to grasp how the heck to get sound out of both channels (hint - it's phantom powered.) My Grandfather's 1943 Martin D-18 needed the neck reset. I was not going to let just anyone work on this guitar, so I called the Martin Factory and they recommended Butche's. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. If you want absolutely first class work and are willing to pay for it, then you will not find a better place to take your guitar.
