Anyone fishing on Edisto Island will shop here sooner than later as this is the only bait and tackle store on the island. Nice folks working here and helping folks.

Captain Crawford made sure we saw dolphins feeding and many beautiful natural and historic sites. A main highlight was seeing the Shell Circle left so many years ago by the native people of the area. It is tragic that it is all too rapidly falling into the water now. So it was an especially important sight. I would like to thank him for creating such a wonderful experience for us all. We had so much fun and learned a bit at the same time.

The winery has a large property with plenty of space to explore, including what appears to be a small farm with chickens and pigs. On a warm day, the outdoor seating areas with games would likely make for a lovely experience. However, when it came to the wine tasting, the samples were served in plastic cups, which some may actually prefer. But for us, it took away from the overall experience. And most importantly, the wines themselves just didn't impress our palates. We tried a variety of their offerings, but nothing really stood out or compelled us to purchase a bottle to take home. It's a shame, because the setting is really quite nice. But at the end of the day, the wine is the most important factor, and this winery missed the mark for us on that front. If you're in the area and want to spend some time outdoors in a charming environment, it could still be worth a visit. But I wouldn't go out of your way, especially if you're a serious wine enthusiast.

I visited Deep Water Vineyard with a large group this past weekend when we were in the area for a…read morebirthday celebration, and there were things I loved it. The property is lovely. Huge live oaks (one with a skateboard swing); plenty of tables and seating; live music at certain times (there was someone singing and playing guitar for most of our visit on a Saturday afternoon); and animals galore - from pens with chickens, Highland cows, and pigs to dogs that work at the winery! The staff were incredibly friendly. Between the staff and the property, it's the kind of place you could spend hours on a pretty day. On the other hand, even in winter (we visited in January, on a mild day) we had a hard time with the gnats on the property. At least I think it was gnats that were flying around our faces and trying to commit suicide in our wine. Maybe they weren't gnats - I didn't think gnats bit humans, and these things wanted our blood. But whatever they were, they were really obnoxious. We moved from the grassy area to an area in the front of the winery that had a concrete slab, but they were either everywhere on the property or followed us - because they were there, too. We couldn't escape them. We bought ten bottles of their wine and did a make your own wine tasting from them (because we were a large group, this made more sense than doing their tasting). Unfortunately, most of the wines weren't to my taste, only about 3/10 were wines I would drink a glass of (we were doing 1 oz pours since we were trying so many). Being a Southern winery, they make several wines from muscadine grapes, which just isn't my cup of tea. They do offer a few other beverages (mead and Bloody Marys at the very least - they may have had more but I didn't venture to the bar to find out) if you want something other than wine. (They seem to offer frozen drinks - frose? - but they weren't offering that since we were there in January.) The property is fun to visit - animals, trees, live music, space for games and spreading out... Unfortunately, the wines weren't for me, and the bugs made me nuts (I'm itchy again just writing this review)! Still, a fun place to stop for a visit if you're doing other things in the area. It can accommodate big groups, too. And the staff were really great - I appreciate how welcoming they make the property!

I booked a 4:45PM cruise on my birthday for myself and my husband and I'm so glad I did! Captain Alan (aka Captain GoodVibes) was a friendly, knowledgeable, and funny host for our late afternoon cruise. He made us feel immediately comfortable and welcome and even had a little gift for me! It was cool to hear him talk about what Edisto was like 20-30 years ago as we sailed through the marshes and past the beaches. He's a fun conversationalist, but he's also good at reading the vibe and noticing when you're just relaxing and enjoying the quiet for a moment -- hence why he really IS Captain of the Good Vibes! You can bring your own snacks and beverages, and my partner and I loved the handmade table (featuring local art!) in the middle with spots to keep drinks from sliding around -- both cute and practical! The Tiki't Easy is clearly the product of a lot of care, thoughtfulness, and sweat equity, which we appreciated. We had such a relaxing trip as the sun began to set, with the breeze flowing and the birds singing. We were even lucky to see a few dolphins! However, dolphins are not guaranteed by Captain GoodVibes, which makes total sense because they're wild animals who will do their dolphining wherever they please, and a tourist paying a few dollars for a "guaranteed experience" doesn't change the dolphins' minds about this at all. You stand firm on that policy, Captain. Both I and the dolphins approve. I highly recommend Captain Alan/GoodVibes and the Tiki't Easy! We will be coming back next time we're in Edisto!

Being it is a holiday we get there early and have breakfast within walking distance so we can get parking. Must have been our lucky day as we got the best parking space in the lot. We were instructed to arrive 45 minutes before the tour. Since we were there and checked in early as was the other group of six we left actually a few minutes early. The weather was perfect and we had on plenty of sunscreen. JD led the boats to different spots on the island so that we were able to see Dolphins. I was surprised that in the middle of the day that we were able to see so many. JD was kind and took pictures and sent them to everyone through What's App. What a great way to spend the day as well learn the island. The entire length of the trip was 2 1/2 hours. Definitely a must do on anyone visiting the Island. Just be warned you will get wet so plan accordingly. You are given a small cooler with ice and bottle waters

Idk what I was expecting, but free roaming snakes just feet away from you without any kind of netting or enclosure definitely wasn't it. We stayed for 2 of the stage shows and the staff was super informative as well as entertaining. It was really cool to see everything up close and learn so much about these misunderstood creatures.
