Due to that type of customer service, I decided to get the protection soles added to the heels of a new pair of sandals. I was surprised that they were ready to go within 2 days. Not only was the quality & workmanship easily seen, yet the price point was also within my budget. I'll definitely return for other upkeep of certain shoes & handbags.

Then it went to $275 when I came actually into the store. Then because I did a deposit instead of paying outright ($200 down, the rest when the job's finished). Gave me my order ticket and it said I have a balance of $125. ($50 more). So my total went from $200 (estimate) to $275 (what the shopkeep told me) to $325 (Because... who knows) . Then I tried to pick up my items on Thursday June 8th at 5:47pm but they were already closed. Hours say from 6:30 am-6pm. So I came back again today (Friday) to retrieve my items. Paid off the rest of my (overpriced) balance and this is the end result of their work. Scuff marks, dried up crust, dirt in crevices. This is not $325 work If you're going to charge premium prices, make sure the quality of your work backs it up. Really wished I paid with a card because I would have DISPUTED this with my bank. Beware!

Fast forward 4 weeks later and still no call. He stopped by there today and was told it'll be ready in 5 minutes. The woman quotes a price of $25 off the top of her head. Mind you, the work on the belt was good but $25 to simply shorten a belt AND they never even called to tell him it was ready. Now we know why they didn't call because it wasn't ready. She did the work when he came to pick it up. Good customer service isn't just about doing the actual work, it's also how you treat your customers.

I got it back yesterday and was shocked that I could not tell how they made such an invisible alteration...and I'm real picky! This is the second set of work they've done for me and there will be a third and ongoing as the need arises (despite the 25 minute drive).

ok, these guys rock!…read more im honestly pretty new to shoe shine, since i normally don't worry to much about the shine on my flip flops but i had to spiff up my fancy shoes for an interview and, after complaining to a few folks about hating shoe shopping, someone suggested getting 'my old reliables' shined, so.... in i walk with my 'broken in' heels and after watching polish slapped on and rags fly about i was on my way with 'new' shoes in about 15 minutes! (the other places i looked up are at the airport which would have meant at least an hour after dealing with (and paying for) parking. seriously, i was impressed! first off, i'm what you could call 'frugal', and to not have to buy a new pair of expensive shoes is awesome! second, i'm the rare female who doesn't like to shop, so it saved me from that torture too. oh, while chit chatting i was informed that Iggy Pop wrote a song about her, appropriately titled 'Shoe Shine Girl', which is pretty bad ass if you ask me. basically, i highly recommend.
