She seemed completely unaware of what I was talking about, even after I showed her the sign. The biggest issue came recently when I purchased some Jack Daniel's shooters, which I've bought at this location many times. When I got home and checked my banking app, I noticed the total was significantly higher than usual. I initially assumed something had been double-scanned, so I called to ask about it. I was told the shooters had gone from $1.99 to $2.99 (a 50% increase) and that Jack Daniel's had "raised the price." I checked other liquor stores and did a quick search afterward, and that explanation did not appear to be accurate. Other stores are still selling the same shooters for $1.99. I really hate leaving a negative review because I've been coming here for years, but between the increasingly empty inventory, employees seeming unaware of products the store is advertising, and questionable pricing explanations, I'm honestly left wondering what is going on with this business. I was not informed on the first call and only when I called to check the status of my revised order was I informed another item was not in stock. Had to cancel this order as well. For the particular brand of tequila I was in for, however, the store only carried the Blanco (silver) one so no Reposado and/or Anejo. I, however, was able to walk away with its tequila-based coffee liqueur (Cantera Negra Cafe) which I had always wanted to try. The employees (pretty much all of them) were very professional and courteous for my shopping needs. The store is a good size. Very organized where things aren't cramped into the space. Very clean indeed. On Thursday and Saturday, they do tastings (4-7pm on Thursdays and 3-6pm on Saturdays); the designated tasting area is on the north end of the shop. You can park in the Whole Foods garage (there is a door to it inside the shop; this is convenient especially when the weather is bad with rain or show.) I don't come to this part of town very often but it's nice to know that a good liquor store with high-end feel exists right in the heart of Belmar shopping area.
