I placed an order through Door Dash. I had changed my phone number in the app, but the driver was given a phone number I haven't had for months. I did not hear the knock on my door as I can't hear unless someone knocks loudly as I am usually in the back room. The driver was kind enough to come back. At the door, we figured out that the driver was given the wrong number. Perhaps Door Dash doesn't do automatic updates? I called the store and let them know it was a mistake and they were very kind. I've never written a bad review about any other place, but this is so crazy to me ! I've ordered there 4 times and each time they would except my order.... and after 30mins plus they would cancel my order I just find it annoying because then I get charged five dollars each time they cancel my orders, ridiculous truly. I work nearby and drive by this place every day. A few months ago, I noticed they were listed on Weldwerks' site as carrying their beer. F yeah! I can pick up my favorite brewery's stuff on the way home from work! I stopped by the next Thursday evening, looking for the newest release. Undeterred by the bars on the windows, I went inside. After cruising the cooler twice, I saw an ostensibly impressive selection of micros. Warning--check the dates on IPA cans. Many were old, that is, no longer tasty. I saw only the previous week's WW release. A guy calling himself the owner asked me if he could help me find something. When I told him "Weldwerks," his expression changed immediately to a frown and he told me I'd have to buy something from another brewery to see his latest WW arrivals. They were stashed out of view. I did a double take and asked if he were serious. "I got a business to run. People like you come in here and all you want is Weldwerks." He refused to allow me to see, let alone buy, any WW beer unless I bought some other brand, too. What a tool! I continue to drive by this store daily and buy my beer elsewhere. Grapevine and Lowry are closer to my house and neither has a pole up its arse about what people buy. I did inform Jake and Neil of WW that this store has issues with customers who like WW beer. Everyone that works here is SUPER friendly and VERY knowledgeable about craft beers and well pretty much everything they carry. I have two liquor stores substantially closer to my place and I will drive the extra 5 mins to definitely go here. They carry your basic Colorado craft beers and have new stuff every week. We absolutely love this little liquor store. We are huge WeldWerks lovers and they never disappoint with the beers they have in stock. We always stop in on Thursdays to get our WeldWerks beers from the previous week. If you're looking for a quality liquor store with a super knowledgeable and helpful owner, this is your place. I originally went in to find Blanton's single barrel bourbon, which can be hard to find. Called every place in a 20 mile radius. This guy had it. And he has tons of good stuff that is sometimes hard to find. Really good craft beer rotation and wines too. The owner even ordered a bourbon I wanted that he didn't have, and I came in a few weeks later, and now he's got a bunch on the shelf. Really good service if you ask me. I've seen bigger selections of liquor but what really got me was how Jared had such a huge knowledge of everything that he sold. We came in for wine and he named off 5 alternatives to the wines we had of we ever wanted to try others. I worried moving to the area from Boulder that finding my favorites would be difficult, but I always find what I'm looking for here. The owner is really knowledgeable and has solid recommendations based on your tastes. Plus they of course have wine and spirits if that's what you need, and the selection and prices of those are pretty standard. But I'm almost always there for the beer. read more
