I come here quite a bit but my bad for my first review WINE SELECTION- speaking for vino they have a better variety than most local spots. Their higher end California choices are very good and for specific varieties like Cabernet or merlot (not my favorite but ok as as small %) there are choices. OTHER BEVERAGES- they have pretty much everything from beer to scotch. SERVICE- if you are dealing with the owners or family members you will find them most helpful and the uncle and nephew are fairly knowledgeable PRICES- it's Trumbull and high rent so prices are not rock bottom I'd say $$$ rather than $$ but there are enough options in the $$ range if stressed for cash VIRUS- they have a really cool system in place to pre-order safely. I have never bought anything from this store. I am rating them a 4 because they sponsored a wine tasting and cheese event I attended and we had a great time. There was a raffle and lots of wines to choose from as well as plenty of cheese and hors d'oeuvres. There was music and everyone had a really fun time. This was awhile ago but I, being the Yelper I am was looking around Yelp and saw this Liquor Store. Figured I'd write a review. I go here regularly. Have tried the other places in town (GG, Al's) and this one has better customer service - especially around wines.i have gotten good unsolicited advice on something to try and 9 times out of 10, it was a good choice at a great price. I asked if they could find a couple oof bottles and special order them, and they were ver accommodating. I read the other reviews on yelp....couldn't help but notice that the same guy left the same review a year apart....guess he couldn't let go! read more

Prices aren't bottom line compared to others in town. I once came in for a six pack of Nastro Azzuro Italian beer and they had one six pack remaining that had been broken and one beer removed and they refused to alter the price. They wanted me to pay full price for 5 beers. The guy working said there was nothing he could do. They wanted me to pay for a beer someone else had already purchased! I said forget it and left. If you're in a real jamb their selection is fine. You'll probably find what you need. read more

I've been to this place a couple times. It's an average looking liquor store inside with a ton of wines. Don't wait until the evening hours to visit. I once showed up ten minutes before it was advertised to close and the doors were locked. I've posted a picture of its hours. read more

I love this place, and the people who work here. They always remember me, no matter how long it has been since I've been in. Even better, they provide a very personalized shopping experience. The employees are knowledgable, and can always help with suggestions on what to get. If you show up to the counter with something that they know is sub par, they direct you to an alternative. Typically, the alternative is a higher quality for less money, or at least a higher quality for a similar cost. Every single recommendation has been spot on. Even when I've been skeptical about trying something new, I've never regretted taking a suggestion from this place. So much so, that when I got engaged, my fiance and I went right to this place to have them help us pick out a champagne. Best champagne I'd ever had, and they congratulated us enthusiastically and warmly. The selection is decent, the store isn't huge. But well worth it for the atmosphere created by the people who work here. read more

I come here sometimes because its right next to Stop & Shop and has a better selection of beer. Selection is decent but I always feel everything is a little more expensive than elsewhere. I feel like I've paid less for beer at the other place in Trumbull. Like Narragansett with Del's shandy, $11. Normal Narragansett retails for like $5-6. The shandy is maybe $9, but here another its $11. Maybe the domestics are typically priced? One time I had a strange experience here. I wanted Peroni Nastro Azzurro, an Italian beer, and they had one six pack left. However someone broke it, so it only had 5 beers. They refused to give a discount. They wanted me to pay full price despite it missing a beer. So I left and bought the Peroni for cheaper at the stop & shop. read more
