I expect my CPA to thoroughly review my return, maximize every legitimate deduction and credit, and legally minimize my tax liability. Instead, it felt like the focus was simply on getting the return done rather than taking the time to optimize it. If you're looking for an accountant who is proactive and thorough about finding tax-saving opportunities, this was not my experience. Honestly, I left feeling like I could have achieved a similar--or even better--result using AI and spending far less time and money.

With my new accountant you only pay when you are completely satisfied. They go over the cost with you upfront. Greenwalds will send you to collections if you start a return with them but do not complete it. Again I did not get a return and I was harassed and threatened with collections. I did business with them for 2 years and it started out well but I kept getting more and more charges that I thought were unfair and too high. I can not recommend them because they charge very high prices, have invoiced me in error for filing an extension. They told me they needed to file extension because they were swamped. 4 months later they wanted more money and that's when I stopped doing businesses with them. They did reverse that charge but they also re billed me 1k and i had to prove to them that I paid that invoice.

Since then, the IRS has sent multiple rejection letters regarding the amended return, and the issue remains unresolved. Every time I follow up, there seems to be another excuse, but no real resolution. Communication has been poor throughout the process. I rarely receive updates and have had to repeatedly contact the firm myself just to find out what's happening. For the amount I paid, I expected knowledgeable representation, proactive communication, and timely resolution of my tax matter. Instead, I have spent years waiting for an outcome while receiving repeated IRS rejection notices and no clear path to fixing the problem. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Delerme CPA. I hope they improve their communication, accountability, and follow-through so other clients do not have a similar experience.
