Prior to that they were on Cobden Rd (and this space on Centrepointe Dr was the Centrepointe Deli and Shake Shake Bubble Tea). The store sells raw meats, but also so much more. They sell frozen foods, deli meats, sandwiches, baked goods, snacks, and drinks too. On my first visit, I stopped by for a sandwich. Their menu changes daily, but I believe a few items are always available. I got the ATB Club Sandwich ($12.50). It had real pieces of chicken breast, thick cut bacon, lettuce and tomatoes. The default condiment is mayo, but I asked for mustard instead. It comes on a rectangular crusty bread. The sandwich was delicious, but a bit messy to eat, lol. The chicken pieces fell out of the sandwich and the lettuce is shredded, so the lettuce fell out of the sandwich too. Or maybe I'm just a messy eater, haha. My only complaint is that the sandwich was a bit small. I was definitely still hungry afterwards. So on my next visit, I supplemented my sandwich with a soup. I got the Roast Beef Sandwich ($14) and the Short Ribs and Vegetables Soup ($7). I enjoyed the roast beef sandwich less than the club because the sandwich was so oily. I don't know if they brushed the bread with oil but it was dripping oil. The soup was also on the oily side and the meat had pieces of fat and gristle. I enjoyed my first visit much more, so will likely just stick with the club sandwich. I did bring a colleague on my second visit and she got the Deli Trio Sandwich ($12), which she enjoyed. She also got the same soup as I did. They have Wagyu beef jerky! I've never seen that before. They also had lots of interesting brands and flavours of chips that I haven't seen before. I've been going for over 10 years and they never disappoint, with reasonable prices to boot. In particular, their sausages, pepperettes and BACON are fantastic, as are their various other cuts of fresh meat. Their store-made pork schnitzels are a favourite at home and much better than Metro (which has good meat), and Farm Boy (which dropped "normal" pork schnitzels many years ago in favour of that lime-cilantro aberration). Although Lebanese food was introduced years ago with the Shwarma food chains, Al-Oumara provides customers with a Schwarma take-out counter, but with more delicious options and platters. A mini grocery store, customers can buy freshly butchered meat, freshly made pre-packed or bulk salads and spreads, desserts, and I've even become acquainted to their beverages including Bonjus that comes in a triangular juice box and Kazouza a sparkling juice drink. I'll never forget the couple of times when they gave me a free dessert on the house or when they gave me pita bread from their bakery because they were sold out on their shelves. A family owned and run business that makes you feel like you're part of the family.
