Bouharoun's is located literally two blocks from the downtown Publix and a block from Main St. There's been many a times when I go pick up my favorite whiskey or scotch and head to Publix to grab a nice dinner to go with that. Bouharoun's is very compact with two rooms but has every type of liquor and wine you can imagine. You may have to scavenge high and low for the type of liquor you want or ask the very helpful ladies at the cashier, but I guarantee what you're looking for will be there. Yes, they have wine and alcohol. Yes, it's convenient - right downtown. Unfortunately, extremely unfriendly. Absolute professional. Peter Bouharoun is an absolute pleasure to work with. We stayed in communication for over two months on particular bottle of whiskey that I really wanted and wasn't available locally. Not only was Peter able to obtain the bottle, but was kind enough to hold it for well over a month. The negative reviews seem to be from folks who hold onto their own beliefs about masks and the pandemic. To each, their own. I'm personally vaccinated, but believe it is UNAmerican to MANDATE masks and vaccines on civilian owned businesses. The choice belongs to the people not the government. On that note, I recommend getting vaccinated but the choice should be yours and yours alone. read more

Convenient downtown location. Good selection of wine and liquors, smaller selection of beer. They carry Six and Twenty Distillery's Carolina Cream, which is a nice hostess gift akin to Bailey's, but locally made and better. Also nice wines at a variety of price points and convenient location to pick up for a gift. Prices are reasonable particularly considering that it is a small family owned business as opposed to a mega store. I finally visited on a recommendation of a friend also into classic cocktails. This place is Disneyland of Liquor. They have the best of every type. Most of the great bars and bartenders downtown are ordering from here so a great drink along Main you can get the hard to find rare ingredient here. As a community bartender I frequently visit this store. The owner, Peter Bouharoun does not wear a mask and is incredibly rude to customers of his store. I was already considering not doing business with the store anymore when I went in yesterday to pick up a few things I really needed for service. After listening to Peter go on and on about the "faggot" who visited his store I put down my bottles and walked out. I am still in shock and completely disgusted over the things I heard him say. Yep, favorite local liquor store in Greenville. Owners are very knowledgeable and for being a small shop they have a great high end variety of liquor and wine. Prices are comparable to Total Wine so why shop there? Ask for help and they don't mind giving advice on what's good and they aren't going to sugar coat the review of a product just for a sale. read more

Probably the rudest experience I have ever had as a customer. I had just finished performing in a show at the peace center and went to buy a bottle of wine. I was wearing sunglasses to cover my make-up and the owner told me to remind ve my sunglasses as i appeared to be some sort of 'freak'-a male wearing make up. Despicable behaviour from a narrow minded business man in a so-called Arts town. Got two bottles off the shelf. The wife paid for them. It was not until I left that I realized that I had been charged $10 more. When I returned the guy at the store told me that was the way it was. I went to the other store to speak with the owner. He only offered a full refund. He would not refund me the $10. He went further to say that he did not have to sell anything at the price on the shelf but rether what it came up at in the computer. I told him he should remove all the shelf prices and just have the customers bend over at the register. I only gave one star because there was nothing lower. What a charming store perfectly situated to downtown Greenville. I love the classy Art Deco architecture of this shop, which is what drew me in on our first trip to Greenville. But, it's the staff and the selection of unique wines, the great pricing of my favorite vodka brands and their recommendations that keep me coming back.
