The name of the suburb where the shop's located is in fact coogee bay. This small bakery located in a small shopping arcade just up from the beach is open every day from 6am to 6pm and has all the baked goodies you're usually after from your local baker. They've got croissants, danishes, tasty fresh rolls, loaves of bread and trusty sausage rolls and meat pies for lunch. They're also good when those after work or after school hunger pains strike and you need a quick ham and cheese roll, cheese twist or apple pie to fix you up.

Both their individual serving and party cakes are delicious and well prized. I've noticed the cafe has gone quieter in recent years, possibly because sugar is poison now and no one wants a cake made with flour and cream instead of raw yak milk and activated broccolini...none of those here, just bloody great cakes.
