Great milk to coffee ratio and different milk offers. The burrata sandwich is open faced with pesto and prosciutto. We had a very attentive server who checked on us and cleaned the table several times. We ordered the Media Luna sandwich, the oatmeal, the mini hot cakes, and the scrambled eggs. My oldest son really liked the mini hot cakes, from the presentation to the taste. My youngest ordered the oatmeal and really enjoyed it. My wife had the scrambled eggs and was not impressed. I had the Media Luna sandwich and wasn't really impressed either. We ordered coffee, hot chocolate, and a cappuccino. The drinks were the largest servings we had in Tulum so far. La Pebeta is a good, not great, option for breakfast if you are in the area.

Extremely disappointing experience with Catering Tulum…read more We booked and prepaid for a private dinner and breakfast during our trip to Tulum. Approximately one hour before our scheduled dinner, Luis cancelled due to a personal emergency. I was initially very understanding of the circumstances. He offered either a replacement chef/rescheduling or a full refund. When the alternative arrangements did not happen, I requested the refund. Luis told me in writing that he would process my refund on Monday. Monday came and went with no refund and no update. I contacted him Tuesday morning and received no response for the entire day, despite the business remaining active on social media. By Wednesday, I still had neither my money nor an update. After repeatedly trying to contact him, Luis finally responded and acknowledged again that he owed me the refund, but attempted to move the refund date to Sunday, explaining that he did not currently have the funds available. I did not agree to that extension. What concerns me most is not simply that the original service had to be cancelled. Emergencies happen. It is the way the situation was handled afterward. I should not have to repeatedly chase a business for money paid for services that the business itself cancelled and never provided. If a refund cannot be processed when promised, at minimum the customer deserves proactive communication rather than being ignored. I have retained the booking information, proof of payment, cancellation messages, refund promises and subsequent correspondence documenting this experience. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering prepaying this business to understand the refund process beforehand and keep complete documentation of all payments and communications.
