I stopped by to pick up some chocolate croissants and coffee to take back to our hotel. There was a line that moved well and within a few minutes I was trying my skills at ordering. That was no problem at all, got my bag of croissants and a little holder with two coffees and I was on my way. Smiles and efficiency. The name of this bakery is different than this Yelp listing, it now appears to be Paris Baguette. I don't know if ownership changed. They offer a long display of sandwiches and bakery items, all looking good. My croissant was certainly good, large and airy, a nice French start to my day. I'm not too particular about my coffee, so what they gave me as American coffee was fine. There are no seats inside, kind of tight, but there are a few places to sit outside. I think it was a nice location with lots of food traffic outside at the intersection of a couple of roads. read more

This place was right next door to my hotel and I stopped by for a quick breakfast on two mornings. This was the best croissant I had while in Paris. The owner and staff appeared to be mainly French speaking, but we were still able to effectively place our order.  The prices were very fair and there is an enclosed seating area that is great for cold, rainy days. read more

We were on a time crunch and wanted to grab something quick as we were about to take a train to Versailles. This was one of the few places in the area that offers take away items. I find their ordering system a bit of a mess. You order outside, then the staff will give you a receipt. You go inside to pay. Then go outside again and wait in line to get your order. I should've ordered a quiche or a crepe because the ham and cheese sandwich that I got was poorly made. There was just a light and dry cheese spread that acts as a condiment for the entire sandwich. The bread was stale. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. But there just wasn't any flavor to the sandwich. The man that took my order was friendly and spoke decent English. The service that I received from here was the most decent ones during my time in Paris, so I wished the food would've been on the same level. read more

Omgness.. the BEST Quiche I have EVER had.. Boulangerie Saint Michel is a small street cafe with very limited seating. I ordered both quiches to share and absolutely loved them. My favorite was the ham and cheese (4.80 euro). Light, fluffy eggs with fresh eggs.. yum.. yum. Yum. The other was spinach and salmon.. delicious but needed some salt. My son Cort had the ham and egg crepe (4 eur) and he really enjoyed it. There is no street parking but a pay to park lot is located nearby on Rue St Michel. The food was amazing and a great value. I was ready to fully order in French and the server skipped my husband and I when we were clearly not with the group in front or behind us and we were next. Once I said, "Pardon" and started ordered our baked goods he gasped at me. When he was getting all of croissants and breads together he was mocking when French. That was very rude in my opinion. We have also had better croissants in Paris and better breads. I would not recommend this place. read more

Delicious pastries and coffees near Notre Dame. It is a small place. You order in line, wait for your items, and then take them to a small patio outside. The croissants and other breads are tasty and fresh. Coffee is pretty good as well, and service was quick and polite. If you are looking for a quick bite before sightseeing, this might be your place! read more

We stayed in the Saint Michel area and really liked this Boulangerie for a few reasons. First, they were open early - not all are. At 8:30 or 9am, it is surprising how many places are closed. We stopped here several times for coffee (they have all different kinds), chocolate croissants, and even in the afternoon for a lemon meringue tart. Each visit was better than the last. They also have a crepe stand where they make crepes to order. It is very cute to sit outside and watch. read more

Great little bakery in the Saint-Michel neighbourhood. I regularly got my morning coffee and croissant/pain au chocolat from this bakery that was 2 min away from where I was staying. Love love! There's no space to sit inside, but some tables outside where you can sit and watch passerbys as you happily munch away on your breakfast. The prices are great too, not overpriced like some other bakeries! read more

Spent a quick day in Paris and found this near Notre Dame. Probably a little touristy, but the pastries were amazing and the kids loved everything that was prepared. A few other businesses similar to this nearby but this looked the best. I hope you can enjoy it! read more

Great breakfast spot around the corner by the Saint Michel metro entrance and at the fork between the smaller alleys that have all the restaurants. I *love* their croissants (SO flaky and crisp on the outside, soft on the inside),and pain au chocolate is the best. Good coffee and orange juice. 3.5 stars came here on a daily basis when i was in Paris. LOVED THE CHOCOLATE CROISSANT and mainly that. By accidentally ordered three baguettes, since I wanted to be like those people that carried baguettes around and walked around the siene river... bad decision, since they all turned into rocks the next day... My fave Bakery during our Parisienne trip. Get off St.-Michel Metro stop, go up the steps and this Bakery is slightly tucked in a few feet after the bookstore. We kept coming back for their coffee, croissants and sandwiches. You can walk to the Notre Dame and City Pharm from here. They speak limited English so point to the items you want or use Google Translate to check out their sandwich menu. read more

stumbled across this little bakery while on our belated honeymoon and since we were staying in the latin quarter, this was super convenient! the pain au chocolate was amazing, also the apricot pastry (i forget the actual name) was excellent as well!! great place to stop and pick something quick to munch on while on the way to the metro or to other sites in the city... quick, efficient and delicious... one of the things i miss about being there! read more
