Boulder Pest Control is absolutely the best. Everyone in the SLT area knows them well which sometimes makes it difficult to get them to service your house. But I've had both a mouse problem and squirrel problem in two separate instances and both times Jim came out and resolved the problem for a very reasonable price. Excellent service. Arrived as scheduled. Heard noises in the wall and attic in the middle of the night. Thought they were rats, found out they where squirrels instead. They set traps and got the culprit (so far!). They gave estimates on the phone and also explained what was going to be done when they arrived. Hard to find reliable businesses in South Lake Tahoe. Boulder was recommended to me by a neighbor. I was looking for someone to treat for termites & the reviews for other exterminators in Tahoe were not encouraging. The owner Jim arrived on time to see what the situation was & give me an estimate. He was a week or more out for treatment & said he would call me when he had a definite time. He called a few days later & set a time. He arrived on time for the treatment with his assistant Billy. Both are very friendly & professional. When the treatment was done, Jim told me he was going to knock down the cost of the treatment because it had gone easier & quicker than expected. Can't be that for honesty! read more

Billy at Boulder Exterminators has been a life saver! My home is having a major mouse problem (as is a lot of Tahoe this year) and Billy has been great the entire time. Making last minute visits to the home to clean traps in between guests staying there (within very tight windows of time as well) and speeding up how often they visit the home to keep checking on the traps and seeing what additional action might be needed. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! Between the costumer service and showing that they care I can't say enough positive things about them! The front desk lady was so nice and always willing to pass my million phone calls on to Jim. I had a raccoon problem that was keeping me from being able to sleep and she was also causing damage to my house. When I called it was the weekend of the Fourth of July and I was told they were very busy but Jim still found time to come out and give me an estimate! He came and checked the traps every day (even on the weekends) and would also check in with me. I would recommend them a million times over!!!! They turned a not so great experience into something that I can smile about due to their customer service!!!!! read more

I had rodent problems in my Tahoe place. Somehow the damn chipmunks, squirrel and woodpeckers decided to squat in my place. Every contractor and exterminator I contacted was ridiculously expensive and not available. I called Boulder Exterminators, Jim came checked out the property explained where the entry and exit points were, explained what needed to be done. He was very knowledgeable and I felt comfortable with the information I received from him. Most importantly Jim gave me a quote that was reasonable and fair. Fantastic service! Great local company with great local service. Raul took care of our sugar ant problem in the past, putting out bate traps in key areas. Ants were gone fast. This year, Jim sprayed around the perimeter of our house to prevent carpenter ants and termites. Very reasonable prices, and they don't try to scare you into paying for more than what is needed. Had a very positive first service visit from Boulder at my cabin to check attic for critters and take care of a wicked yellow jacket hive that was inside the eave on my deck. Billy did a thorough job eradicating the hive, in a full beekeeper suit. He also closed up holes where critters could enter and provided advice, all at a reasonable price. They came on short notice to a rental home when the tenant alerted me of possible critters due to noises. The location of the noises seemed unlikely for critters. They marked the one possible entrance for the tenants to check if they were disturbed. They were very nice, professional, and courteous. They did not try to sell an unneeded extermination, and they did not even charge for the consult and the mark. read more
