The course was clearly a farm at one time which led to beautiful views, rolling hills, and a lovely creek running through the property. Farm structures have been converted to golf buildings. The course has a lot of potential but needs a bit more maintenance. Most tee boxes were a bit rough. The back nine had some squishy areas. Many of the holes had blind shots which isn't my fav. As a twosome, we had plenty of time to drive ahead and check out where we should aim but it would be nice to see the pin more often. They had some nice landscaping areas and beautiful flowers. The forward tees were around 4800 yds which is little shorter than I like but still a fair yardage. The staff was super nice. Very welcoming and friendly. Carts were nice. No GPS but nicely padded seats.

Only downside to the course was the wind and lack of trees. In my own opinion the rock and roll theme is a bit, eccentric especially in combination with a giant log cabin club house. Here's what I failed to understand, the price. We went on a spring day, real feel was 17 degrees. Walked. I'm grateful he kept the course open, but I don't get the 40+ dollar price tag on a round most places would have discounted or given a rain check. I'm very thankful we walked because 60+ dollars for the round would have been ludicrous. The only thing that really made that worthwhile was that so few people were there for the first 9. I can't say I'll be back to play with that price point. There's plenty of nicer courses I'd rather be at for that.

Its cabin feel is welcoming and beautiful. With a fire place and light up bar, it had many unique features. Staff was great as well. So welcoming. The course was in good shape. Greens were very nice. Some tee boxes were a bit bumpy but overall it was in good shape. The forward tees were around 5000 yds which is a good distance. Not a lot of water and mostly straight fairways should lead to good scores but I played horrible. Maybe the 90 degree weather had something to do with it. There was lots of shade on the course to help keep us cool. No GPS in the cart so without a scope, I was never really sure of yardage. Sand was a bit hard but I never landed in it so no problem. The last hole with the yellow submarine was scenic. Good stop.

There have been a lot of confrontations and there are few Marshalls encouraging slow groups to speed up. Greens are smooth but very wavy and the pin placements are deliberately difficult.

The greens rolled true. There is definitely water and sand challenges beyond the length. I never found myself in the sand but did find the water on the long par 3s where you had to fly the water to reach the green. Carts had GPS. There were also beverage carts along the course. They have a really nice turn to get food and beverages if you choose. Your green fee includes a small range ball basket. They also have chipping and putting greens for practice. Someone greeted us at the bag drop and loaded up a cart for us. Very nice staff and loved the course.

Their special of the night was the Lemon Garlic chicken Penne, packed with great ingredients just not hot. $23.00 huge bowl could have fed 2. Since neither of our meals came with garlic bread or anything we shared the Sliced Italian bread from appetizer menu and it filled the void for $6.00. My daughter had a super nummy cheeseburger with battered french fries. My son had the salmon with cheesy augratins and he said it was tasty. We finished with the gluten free chocolate cake that was delicious and moist. Would have given them another star had our food been served hot, we did not complain but wished I had, atmosphere and service was great, my granddaughter loved playing a few of the free arcade games off the entry. Played this course at least a half times each year. Just played it for the first time this season…read moreand it is in terrible shape. Grounds are dry, white clovers everywhere and the bunkers are a mess. Weeds growing out if them, no sand just dirt and not one trims around them. Someone has cut their grounds keeping budget for it yo look like this.
