Yes during the 2021 "camping season" we like every rv repair business have been very busy and completion times have been delayed. While we aren't able to catch every call we are very good about returning voicemail, in most cases the same day if not the next business day and any voicemail left by Carson was returned. The estimate details given are simply untrue, the written notes on Carson's work order put the estimate $2300-$2400 and was confirmed with the technician who spoke with Carson. Our experience with Carson was very unpleasant, as during our conversations Carson would go on a vulgar, explicit rant that made any professional discussion impossible.] I have all my call logs and voicemails saved, hence how I was able to leave such a detailed review. Worst rv repair experience ever. Not only did they overfill my propane tank (after I warned them it was possible), they blew some of the seals on my propane system causing $150 in repairs at another repair place. When I asked them if I needed to clear my table so they could access the water systems - they said "no, we can work around it." Came back to find everything dumped on the floor & behind the seats. In the end, I had to replace a valve because they didn't "winterize" my rv correctly. These guys are rude, over-priced & dangerous! read more

Stay away from these people. My parents asked them to winterize their RV. The heater core froze and broke, and the pipe connecting it froze and broke. That heater core is a $9000 part. If you ask me save yourself the hassle, go to anybody else. read more

I had a very good experience with this place today. We were packing for a trip when we discovered a gas leak. It turned out we needed a pipe cut and re-flanged. They did this for me right away on very short notice. In the end when we went to pick up the RV we noticed some pieces missing. So we went in and insisted that they were there when we left the RV. Larry, went to go look for the missing pieces and said he never saw them. He didn't find them after looking and instead came back with his own spare parts that matched the missing ones and gave them to us. He said he couldn't find ours but that we could have these. When we returned to our RV we remembered one place we had not looked and then we found our missing pieces! So we returned Larry's to him and were a bit embarrassed about it. What I like about this is that rather than sweating the whole thing, Larry just replaced our missing parts without a struggle. He was very gracious indeed!!! He is a good guy! read more

I love this place. There is no place nearby that offers their kind of service, and while they may not be as slick as the people are at camping world, they are smarter and do quality work. Prices are reasonable, especially on propane refill. read more

This is absolutely the WORST place I can think of for RV service. I took my RV in last January for a diesel heat reset and they charged me almost $400 for diesel heat repair and after 1 day of use, the repair failed so when they sent me to their other location, after having it there for several more days, Larry , the 'tech' said he couldn't repair it and also said 'I just don't know much about these things'. I am appalled at this business and for any technical help, there are several other businesses that would be more worth your time to use read more

Prices are high. They recently charged $240 to repack the wheel bearings on my single axel camper trailer. I asked them to make some estimates on a couple of potential improvements. Their estimates looked high (e.g., $900 for dual battery box), so I decided to look elsewhere, but then they charged me $120 just to make the estimates! I am editing this slightly. I would still avoid going there if possible. I have a small cargo trailer that needed a new jack, and some rewiring of the electrical hookup where a wire had broken from closing the back hatch on it. The prices they quoted seemed ridiculously high, especially since I have had people do the electrical work for me on the road for no more than a tip. They wanted to charge $160 to put on a new jack, which I could order on Amazon for $35. All it needed was to be bolted on, which would take a max of 10 minutes. Unfortunately, they are the only people in town, I needed the trailer soon, and I wasn't sure how to do the wiring myself, so I let them charge $160 for new wiring. It felt crummy even dealing with them. When I got the trailer back, they had not even bothered to put the new wires in any kind of protective casing, even though they knew I tow the trailer with my car and have to close the hatch on the wire to tow it. They charged $160 to do a job that would be destroyed within 2 uses. When I called in, they said I could bring it back in to get some protective casing on the wires. They wanted to schedule out to next week though. I asked "do I really have to schedule for this little job, which should have already been done?" and he agreed I could come in sooner. First of all, the store and signage look like they likely were- in the late 70s. The place looks like a junkyard on the outskirts of town. Problem is, it's the only RV place in Boulder. The store inside is actually a lot nicer, lots of RV parts and such. I took my travel trailer in to have a new crank up assembly installed (near the ball/ hitch). Turns out the owner John was helping me and I did not like his demeanor or attitude-- I asked about looking into the tow vehicle 7-way plug, because it had not been charging the RV battery while driving. He tried to say a min of $100 for that. After suggesting it might be a simple fix, he reduced it to about .25 hr or $27 dollars. After I left they called me and said they had to grind out the hole in the frame to fit the new part, a bit larger than the old one. So even more labor on the $120 quoted for the jack install. Turns out the electrical problem was a blown fuse 15 Amp right at the top of the car battery--and needed to be replaced with a 30 AMP fuse. John refused at a later date when I came back, to reduce the total repair ticket price of $233-- at all. So even though the $27 labor for electrical probably took 1 minute to find...still full charge. I'll never return, even the though the jack works great and the repairs were good. You could just tell he wants to bump up the ticket $$ ANY chance he gets. Oh and they also charged like $8.99 for "Misc shop supplies" Hmmmmm. For the three bolts they could have reused? Bottom Line: if you took off the labor for the $1.19 fuse, I paid $233 less the cost of the jack $65-- so $168 labor ($110 hourly rate)- for a simple job that probably took them 45 minutes to do. WORST thing is, as the store owner, is to overcharge and have ZERO personality, no friendly attitude at all. Good character for a Zombie movie. read more

Stopped in here yesterday to pick up a part while I was in Boulder. Very reasonable prices on their stuff in here. Sales staff was friendly and helpful. Not the biggest store but has the essentials and can order what you need. They do not sell RV's, only parts and service. Would recommend and will be back. read more

One of his employees wanted to try to remedy my damaged ac casing to keep the rain out until I can get a new casing but Jon said he couldn't get to it until June 3rd and I'm just traveling thru. Strongly suggest avoiding Boulder RV. They charged me $388, including $30 for the labor of opening the box and checking the contents and $35 for shipping, a self contained kit available online for $130. When I complained and said I wanted to return it they charged me another $30 for shipping and a $60 restocking fee. Had they been upfront about what they were planning to order for me it would have saved us all a lot of trouble. read more

Couple months ago made an appointment to bring my RV in, they were able to take it right away. I had to cancel so brought it in 2 months later. Not only did they remember everything we mentioned was wrong but they had the parts in and were able to repair it the next day! Never had service this good at any of the other places I've gone. They have always been fair with us. read more

I made an appointment for the installation of an auxiliary battery and was told it would take 2-3 hours and that I should get it there as close to 8am as possible. I got there right at 8 and was told it would be ready sometime in the afternoon. I explained that I was counting on it to take 2-3 hours, as I'd been told. He said, well, he'd look at things and get back to me in about an hour. I called after an hour and a half and he said he hadn't looked at it yet. I complained about the timing, and he made no apologies and said I had no right to complain unless they didn't finish by mid-afternoon. He also charged $450, which seemed excessive. And on top of all that, they chipped the paint on my door and scuffed up my seat belt clip. read more

Wow, thought I'd found a gem when I learned I could park my Airstream and TV for the winter AND they would winterize it and perform mandatory maintenance to retain warranty. Then the trouble began; the warranty was "frozen" for a year because they didn't perform all of the required services; no apologies, just another bill. After nearly a year (due to COVID) I returned to pick up my truck and trailer to find that the awning light that I hadn't authorize replacing had actually been removed and discarded; the "winterization" failed to close the water heater or remove the hand wands for shower and kitchen sink - both cracked and have to be replaced. After leaving I realized of the other three things they were to repair only one had been repaired. When I called to express frustration (from VA), they said to bring in it and they'd take a look. No refund as it's "been awhile"... Run from this place as quickly as you can. read more

I've used these guys a couple of times and felt their prices were high, but this week i learned just how bad they actually are, and how dishonest they are. I had two identical 100 pound propane tanks to fill. Took the first to the convenience store at 55th and Arapaho. It cost $52 bucks for something like 22 gallons of propane. Two days later i was on the other side of town and had the second tank with me. Went to these guys and didn't ask price, since I'd just done the fill at arapaho and assumed it would be similar. Boulder RV put about 20 gallons of propane in the tank. Total charge: $108. Dude told me, "standard rate is a dollar a pound." But thats not true. The department of energy lists propane prices every week, by the gallon, and that week the price per gallon was a little under two bucks. There are lots of places to go for propane and RV parts. These guys should be last resort. read more

We called ahead of time to check and see if this shop carried a specific part. Spoke with a gentleman who said they did have it. We drove 30 minutes to Boulder to pick up the part, and when we arrived they said they didn't carry it. Very poor customer service. read more

Very unfriendly and unhelpful service. Advance Auto Parts two doors down from this place is a MUCH BETTER option and had the parts I needed (and much better overall selection) with very friendly, knowledgeable service and they take the time to answer your questions. Walking into Boulder RV (where I was the only customer) felt like I was interrupting his daily routine and he would not take the time to answer my questions or offer any other solutions to a simple, but urgent, problem. read more

I had more batteries put into my motorhome. I wanted ones that they don't carry, so they let me order them to be shipped to their location. That's great. I was a little concerned about communicating the job to them, which is why I prefer using email. The results are good. I appreciate that they dealt with a custom battery tray in tight quarters with a water system also installed. read more
