Once our situation better aligned with moving forward with a purchase, just for grins, I searched "new" camper vans instead of searching used and I landed on a new 2025 Thor Twist at Mericle that was priced competitively with used models I'd seen. It had 1,200 miles from being driven from the factory in Indiana and was taken to a trade show, but everything Thor was unused and still under warranty. We reached out via their contact us form and was out in touch with Brandon. This is a small, mom and pop dealership-and we love supporting small businesses. Brandon was upfront and very fair. It was up there with the best "car-buying" experiences I've ever had. We corresponded by phone, FaceTime for a video walkthrough of the van and checked everything on the van to make sure everything was in order. They specialize in tow behind trailers, so the van wasn't for their primary audience. After we did our due diligence, we made arrangements to drive from Texas to Colorado to see it in person and to purchase it if everything checked out. And it did. Brandon, DJ and Mike took great care of us, getting us acquainted with all of the systems, researching and fixing a noise on the roof that ended up being some cables for the awning that had broken free of their zip tie before we headed back to Texas. No sales pressure, just genuine, nice people that went above and beyond for even out of state buyers! lol. If you're looking for a place that remembers how to give great service, reach out to them. Thank you Brandon, DJ and Mike Mericle for your patience and attention to all the details.

I got this sewer valve fixed, along with adding sensors to the water tanks. It was $611 but unfortunately it all needed done. The day I got it back, my step was not going in to get into the house part of the RV. I was able to swing back by the next day and apparently the little step magnet fell off. Donnie was quick to not only fix that, but also looked at a leak on the outdoor shower, and replaced a knob that was broken. All of this that no charge since I was in there the day before, getting the other repairs done. He even hooked up a diagnostic machine to see if I have a DEF fluid sensor. He went above and beyond to make sure that we were going to have a safe road trip that day. I highly recommend Rocky Mountain RV Repair! Five stars!

In the process, I found several that are run out of barns and residences, but I finally came upon Avanti in Fort Lupton, and saw the 5-Star reviews. My initial suspicions were that this was someone with a couple of good friends - because nobody can live up to a 5-star rating. If you want to save yourself the time of reading any further, here is your spoiler alert: Grant and Avanti deserve every perfect review you'll find here. It is rare to find a small business owner who communicates as well and as diligently as Grant does. He kept in touch every step of the way, and handled my insurance carrier with ease. On this basis alone, I can say that it was a pleasure to deal with him. The quality of work was exceptional. I brought my Ford F150 to Avanti after someone vandalized the hood, scratching it badly and denting it with a rock, as well as chipping the windshield. It had a plasticoat bonnet that was scratched as well. When I picked up the truck, it looked perfectly new - and I mean perfect. Not only that, but I was astonished (and a bit embarrassed, since I spend so much time in the field hunting and fishing) to find that Grant practically detailed the truck inside and out. It hasn't been this clean or polished in months! I have dealt with many body shops over the years, and I can honestly say that Grant takes far more pride in his work and his company than anyone else you will find in his industry, short of the specialty restoration shops that charge five times the money. I cannot recommend him highly enough, and I would say that it is worth the drive to come from just about anywhere on the Front Range to bring him your vehicle if you want the very best work you could possibly find, from an honest and hard working small business.

Based on the recommendation from my insurance company, I immediately contacted a repair shop the same day as the hailstorm. I went to see them and was put on a waiting list for repairs. I waited until January of 2018, and after not having heard from them, I contacted the repair shop. I was informed that they had made the decision it wasn't in their best financial interest to do hail damage repairs. So I contacted my insurance company again to see where I could take my car. They gave me the numbers of 3 Mahnke Auto Body shops. I called Mahnke in Fort Lupton in March and was told I could bring my car in any time that was convenient for me for the repairs. Over the phone, I felt that this was the place I wanted to bring my car, even though it was not close to where I lived. I took my car there on the 29th of March. The front office staff was very friendly and informative. It took about a month for the repairs to be completed, which was less time than I expected. When I picked up my car, it looked like new. The repair staff when over the repairs that were done, the office staff checked me out quickly and efficiently, and I was on my way home with a beautifully repaired car. I would not hesitate to return there to have work done on my vehicle, and I would highly recommend this repair shop. Thank you to all who work there and did such a fantastic job on my vehicle. I've spent around twenty five thousand dollars with this place over time, and I kept coming back for one reason: Nate. His work is outstanding. The man could rebuild an RV blindfolded while reciting torque specs. He deserves a shop where his skill isn't overshadowed by someone trying to run the place like a discount drill instructor. The problem isn't the techs. The problem is the owner, David, who treats customers like they walked into his day wrong. They missed storm damage on my estimate, failed to order a window they said would be "no problem," overlooked two damaged exterior speakers, left grease on the interior during a previous visit, and forgot to leave my keys out so I could pick up my RV before a freeze. That "oops" earned me a wasted trip. But the trophy moment was when David called me the next morning. I asked for a simple verification that the plumbing wasn't compromised from the cold. Instead of professionalism, he unleashed a rant, raised his voice, and cussed at me before I could even finish a sentence. I've gotten calmer responses from TSA agents during holiday travel. Here's the truth: * Nate is the only thing keeping this place afloat. * The shop's actual work is fine. * But the leadership style is "angry hall monitor with a business license," and that's being generous. When the owner acts like every reasonable question is a personal attack, it doesn't just push customers away -- it risks the reputation of everyone who works there. I'm amazed the team sticks around, especially someone as skilled as Nate. He deserves better. If you want quality work without being treated like an inconvenience, choose literally any other RV shop in Colorado. As long as David is running the show, this one is a hard pass.
