Their staff, particularly Michael and Francis, are exemplary models of professionalism and compassion, who display great attention to detail and skill at assisting people during the darkest time of their lives.
One month ago, my father passed away suddenly and without warning. The day following my father's death, Michael met with my mother, brother and I and went through the meticulous details of every aspect of the future steps we should be taking. This discussion included not only the preparation for my father's wake and funeral, but also matters that we would later be required to address with the probate lawyer. Michael further coordinated with the US Navy so my father would be honored for his service at the funeral and be interred at a military cemetery, and assured us that my father's name would be engraved on a plaque within the funeral home honoring deceased veterans.
During the emotional days that followed for the wake and funeral, Michael and Francis were always readily available to promptly answer our many questions and concerns, and to provide a calm steady presence for us. And their help to us did not end with the funeral. Even after the funeral, Michael and Francis have provided invaluable ongoing assistance to us in such matters as the quick procurement of thank you cards, the efficient scheduling of the interment ceremony for my father's ashes, and the further assistance in answering our additional questions. Also, I cannot praise them highly enough for how pleasant and understanding they have been with us through it all.
It is very clear that the staff of Boulevard Funeral Home, and Michael and Francis in particular, do not consider their job to be done once the funeral is complete, and that they truly care about the family and loved ones who are left behind. I would further add that Michael and Francis have displayed this extreme level of attention during a time period where the funeral service industry is just getting back on its feet following months of lockdown due to the Covid pandemic, which makes the amount of time they have spent with us even more extraordinary.
