Why does this matter? Well, over 90% of the watermelons in our great country are now unseeded and I don't know about you but I care that my fruits and vegetables are not genetically modified and I eat the entire watermelon because health benefits matter. You can and should eat the seeds of the watermelon, they're super duper good for you! You can also eat the rind (yes, you can). Or just save some seeds and grow them yourself. Scary to think so many of our foods are now seedless, this madness has to stop! I could say so much more on the subject but I'll stop now and just add... Niagara Produce is a great place to shop for your grocery needs, they have a great selection of produce, meats and even cheeses if you're looking for charcuterie board goodies. They also have a wonderfully huge greenhouse and selection of beautiful plants, just take a little stroll and enjoy the beauty. And, if you're not into that, go grab a slice of Just Pizza just because! Happy shopping!

It feels like a very upscale shopping experience with a hometown vibe. I went in for a few things and left with a full cart. I love the prices here as they are lower or competitive with other stores. They have a full deli and their produce has a lot of variety with some local products too. They have a lot of local products as well as what feels like things made in house. Super cool to support local here. They also have an ice cream shop and a Just Pizza location inside the store which is great especially if you go grocery shopping hungry which seems to happen to me quite often. All of the staff here were super nice and helped me get everything I needed. We will definitely be coming here more often for groceries now that we know how incredible this place is!

I was delighted to see the place I live in Niagara Falls fell within their 15-mile delivery radius as well. I placed the order 11pm at night and the next morning by noon had the box delivered on my doorstep. The gentleman who delivered it left a voicemail that he was almost there. I missed him, but when I went to my doorstep saw the box! It included flat 12 mushrooms and incredible eggs. I thought $30 was a very fair value for all included, especially with the delivery. I've already told some friends who have ordered from them...and it's all thanks to Frank's initial review! They pivoted their business model and I am so glad they did. Now we have a source for fresh, delivered produce at a time when we need more than ever to be eating healthy, nutritious food. Do be warned, quantities are large for many items. But you can always share. Have them delivered to you and then friends or family can pick up their share from your step. It's also a great time to stock up on things to freeze, dry, or can. So far, I've gotten cucumbers, green peppers, tomatoes, and red grapes. The quality of everything was good. Obviously it's fresh produce, so you'll want to check through because there's always a bad one here or there. That's normal. But on the whole, I felt very good about the quality of the food I received and I will absolutely be ordering more. I may or may not have ordered my produce at 1:30 in the morning. (I mean, why not?) The free delivery was fantastic. It says within 72 hours and I had it by 5:30PM. I was very impressed. Cannot recommend Produce Peddlers enough. Thorpe's is well known for grass fed beef, organically raised turkeys, hens and eggs. Many people participate in Thorpe's Food Coop, purchasing "shares" of produce. Owned and operated by multiple generations of the Thorpe family, steeped in integrity and Christian values.

It's been 2 years since I was last here and the market has grown in size. We stopped for a breakfast pizza and Duke's doughnuts and headed to the shelter by the playground to eat. There are plenty of picnic tables and trash receptacles. Then off to get some vegetables, breads and pastries, other vendors had a number of other items. There are llamas and they are so cute and the baby was adorable. There were kids all around petting them. Worth a look!

The truth is, in the past, it was never my favorite spot for buying fruit and vegetables. But now, I think the place has simply become one of the best in the area. The new location is very convenient. The produce always looks fresh and beautiful. I'm not sure how organic or not everything is, but it's mostly 'homegrown', whatever that means. In spring, you can buy seasonal plants; perennials and annuals, including hanging flower baskets. In the autumn, they offer the best ever collection of pumpkin varieties, and potted garden mums. This week, I plan to try out the "Produce Box" offer. I wonder if I'll manage to get one, since it looks like they're usually all sold out pretty fast.

Get there early, tho, b/c pizzas are made individually, fired in their outdoor oven one at a time, so the wait times can get long. Brought home peaches, peppers, beets (love cooking the greens) and eggs. All the vendors were super friendly and willing to talk about their goods and even shared tips on growing some of them. Nice bonus is checking out all the Halloween decorations through the town. Different items on each light pole up and down the street all make by local folks.
