I ordered the jump house online a few days before our party. I called the next day to pay for the deposit. SO EASY! The jump house was dropped off the night before our party so I didn't have to worry about set up the day of. The man that dropped off was super nice and so was the woman I spoke with over the phone to make the deposit. We will use this company again and will recommend to our friends. read more

Boy do I wish I would have checked the reviews prior to scheduling this company! I reserved an obstacle course bounce house for my son's party with Bounce Time Party Rental and booked it with Amanda from their office. She might actually be the only thing that is great about this company. I scheduled the bounce house to be delivered on Sunday, May 31st, the rental time was scheduled from 11:00-7:00pm. The morning of the party, I had to go out and run errands, so I told my husband to expect the company's delivery at 11:00am. At 12:00pm I received a call from my husband letting me know that the obstacle course had not yet arrived. I immdediately called their office and spoke to a man, he said he would check with the driver to find out where he was, and his estimated time arrival...... I received his call back, stating the delivery person would not be able to deliver it for another hour. At that time I stated that I rented it for 8 hours, so I expected to either keep it for the full 8 hours, and they could come to pick it up at 9:00pm, or a discount equivalent to the amount of money that the 2 hours equal, which by my calculation would be $95.00. The driver showed up, and requested an immediate CASH payment in full, prior to the set up? So my husband called their office, some woman said she would only give 10% discount which was $34.00 (this doesn't make sense) After that whole fiasco, the party was underway, and the kids started playing on the bounce house. Less than an hour into the party, the obstacle course started to deflate, upon further inspection we discovered multiple huge holes at the seams all over the obstacle course, with blue tape that was unattached, covering the holes. At this point, the only way to stop it from completely deflating was to put duct tape over the holes. Instead of two blowers to the two air inlets, there was only one. With the size of this obstacle course (33ft long), and the holes, I would imagine two blowers would have been brought. I once again called to notify the company of the holes, and that is was deflating, and to ask for a replacement (without holes), the man who answered said he would call the warehouse to see what they suggest. He called back, and said the warehouse told him that it was likely one of the two blowers that may need to be adjusted. I responded letting him know that there was only one blower??? Since the bounce house was the main attraction of the party, we had to improvise, and rent a blower to keep the bounce house from deflating. The driver did not show up at 9:00pm as discussed, but instead showed up at 6:35pm (too early). At the time of pick up, I was occupied inside the house, busy cleaning up after the party. Shortly after they left, my kids came in upset to tell me that the company made them get off the bounce house. At a very minimum, I would have appreciated a knock on the door to say they were there to pick up. It felt to me as though they snuck in, to avoid my altogether, and left in a hurry! To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. I've rented a lot of bounce houses in my time, I have three kids, with three separate parties per year, for the last 12 years. I have never had so many things go wrong with a bounce house rental in all my 12 years of renting bounce houses. Also, on the final bill, I noticed that I was charged for sales tax, I did some research and found that sales tax does not apply to RENTALS of bounce houses, sales tax only applies to SALES of bounce houses per Board of Equalization. Since the party, I have tried to call the office, send them an email, in hopes of speaking to the owner, manager, or anyone for that matter. Unfortunately, they have not yet responded!!! So I call and leave another message. Then I start researching and find 2 more phone numbers for this place. One number is off of yelp. The guy answers and is confused to as why I'm calling this number. He says he will call back. He didn't. I call a 707 number. Talk to a chick. Says she will call back. She does!!! Wow! She said we didn't put a deposit down so they're not coming. how can I give you a deposit if you don't answer your phone or return calls???!!!! She blames us. Says they can come in an hour. Yeah no thanks. Party already starting. Don't go through these people. Ruined my 7 year olds birthday. If I could punch them all in the face I would. Okay it got even worse! We ended up having them bring the bounce house and a cotton candy machine. They got there at 3pm. So hour and half after party started. The total was originally $240 for the bounce house and cotton candy machine for 4 hours. She knocks $40 off. Ok fine. Then the cotton candy machine doesn't work. It's smoking and sparking and tripping the generator. We let them know over the phone it didn't work. When the driver comes to pick it up they give us $20 back. Ummm the cotton candy machine was $60!! The driver didn't know anything and they just told her to give us $20. So basically I got ripped the f*uck off today! I unfortunately CANNOT recommend this company. We rented a margarita machine for a party recently. The person taking the information over the phone got our order incorrectly and delivered the wrong flavor. The machine was not clean and it took over 6 hours for the mix to freeze. We didn't have frozen drinks until nearly the end of the party. When we called for assistance they blamed us because we added the acohol simultaneously with the mix stating the freezing point would be lowered, however, no where in the directions was this made clear. I called and spoke with a representative the following day and he did not offer an apology nor showed any regret. I delayed writing this review until we had talked in hopes of some validation however the man proceeded to yell at me over the phone, became very defensive and placed the blame on me. POOR customer service. POOR, dirty equipement. I wish I had read the prior reviews because I would have not rented from this company. They droppped the machine off LATE. The machine was broken and would not freeze. I called them 15 times to try to get a working machine, finally three hours into my party, I received another margarita machine. We rented a two lane inflatable water slide in June for a end of the year school party for 40 children. The company rep dropped the slide off and began the blow up process and started water running into the pool in the bottom and then left. Little did we know at the time of order it takes over 3 hours to fill the "Pool" with enough water to make it safe to use. Fortunately it was delivered a day early so we had time to fill the pool completely. During set up the rep mentioned it hadn't been used since Halloween 2013 so it still had straw and pine needles in the slide. After it was set up the first use kids started getting scratched and one of the children slid between the "Pool" which was full of water and the vinyl slide itself! Talk about scary! We called the company and after three calls finally spoke with someone who told us the Velcro most likely wasn't connected properly and we would need to drain it reattach the Velcro and then re inflate and refill it. So after spending several hours doing this the children still received numerous scratches. We called the company two more times and received no response. They came the next day three hours earlier then the time we had set for them to get slide. No issues except we weren't home. I called the company to try to resolve the issue as we had numerous children injured and didn't even get much use of the slide. They responded by saying they needed a week to look over the slide. A week later I called them again and they said they still didn't have a chance to look over the slide. As several weeks had passed I contacted American Express and disputed the item as damaged goods. 30 days later, and the company still hadn't responded to American Express so AM EX refunded our money. Only then did the company call and they immediately started threatening to sue and stating that we never paid and now owed them $50.00 interest. Now in October we get a call from a claimed "Law Firm" stating they are taking us to court because we never returned the item. I explained all the details to the "Law Firm" and told them I have documentation of everything and they then said they needed to contact their client to speak with them about this. This company has horrible customer service and will likely be facing law suit shortly if they continue down their path. Stay away from them! read more

The drop off was earlier than expected, and the attendant was very helpful. However, I put a 25$ deposit down which was not taken into account when I had to pay for the rental. I ended up paying 20$ more than the original quote. Also, the sumo suits we rented had no clips on the helmets (to keep them secured on your head) and as such, we had several instances when a sumo wrestler hit their heads rather hard on the ground. The last occurrence actually put an end to our fun, as we were afraid of sustaining worse injuries with the broken equipment. Luckily, we were all adults and made the decision to wrestle without the helmets properly secured ourselves. I would not recommend this business as they provided no compensation for the broken equipment and money dispute. read more

I think that this company could use a course in customer service. When I placed my order I had no idea about certain things and when I called to ask questions the lady who answered was extremely short with me. I was sent 5 different invoices through my email with all different types of amount due. To me this is unacceptable, if you are going to make changes in the cost you need to call me, not just assume that I will pay a new amount $50 more than given on your site. They told me that I would benefit from a Friday delivery, I told them that I would not be home until after 6pm, which they said was fine. However, I did not expect them as late as they came...9pm, without a single phone call!!! I had to call at 7pm to ask where they were and the guy who answered said it would be at least 45 minutes and that he would have the driver call me. That never happened until about 8:45pm when the driver rudely called to say he had no idea how to get to my house. Once he arrived the first jump house that was set up had a huge tear in it. Luckily they had another same size jump house in the trailer. The next day when we inflated it there 5 or 6 bugs crawling all around in side of it and the banner tore and would not stay up, my husband had to tape it. The only nice thing, is that when they showed up 30 minutes to early to pick up the jump house they did not give me any attitude when I asked them to come back. I honestly do not know if I would use this company again. I paid a lot of money for this jump house and just wish that the customer service was better. TERRIBLE! Let me start by saying this was NOT our first margarita machine rental. We had used the Margarita Man in the past but he and his wife (who he told me to call because he was at work) were not at all responsive. Not a problem, so I thought, because I found Bounce Time online and were able to help us with 3 days notice (needed it for a memorial service because that's how we throw a party!) They delivered it on Monday for use on Wednesday. The guy said it would be fine to set up 45 min before we needed the margaritas. THANK GOODNESS our family decided to set it up at 8am just to make sure it worked. We had to call a tech and have them walk them through 'fixing' it - because that's what you want to be doing while you are getting ready for a funeral! Anyhow, when they finally got it 'working' we poured in the mix and it started LEAKING. And not just a few little drops but get a pot and a roll of paper towels leak. Then all kinds of brown slime particles started swirling around like it hadn't been cleaned. But in true 'we don't have time to deal with this' fashion we decided there is nothing a little tequila couldn't kill and let the machine run. Though the drip started to slow down we still needed paper towels on top of the drip trays to prevent a splash of sugary drink mix. We returned from the service 2 hours later (at this point the machine had been running for 3 hours) only to find the margaritas were still more liquid than slush. At the end of the night one side had completely stopped freezing all together! While I appreciate the fact that they were able to accommodate us with a last minute request I would prefer that they tell us they can not help rather than send out dirty and poorly functioning machines. read more

This was such a horrible experience for us. I did not read the reviews prior or I would have stayed away. They were 2 hours late even after I called to confirm that morning. The office could not locate its driver and had no idea if my order was still coming. When the company showed up two hours later the rental was missing a piece and they didn't have all the supplies I ordered. So unprofessional and bad customer service to boot. The drivers were late by 40 mins... Luckily i booked my time an hour before the party actually started. But they did have the courtesy to call as soon as my booking time came. The bouncer was the exact bouncer I requested... It was excellent. The extension cords that they were equipped with were not three pronged; it did not have the ground. Safety issue especially with kids involved. When we advised the one installer about the safety issue he asked 'what's the difference'. He then brought another extension cord with three prongs but cord was rigged where the cord and plug meet. We moved our generator so we didnt have to use an extension cord. The table and chairs were in excellent condition. The popcorn machine was never used because it was so greasy in the cooking pot and around the bottom inside. I wouldn't feel right serving people out of something that dirty. I called because the party was winding down earlier than booked and they were able to get the drivers out to pick up the equipment earlier than expected. Overall the experience was ok. About 1230pm when they still hadnt arrived and no phone call i called there phone number and didnt get anything but an answering machine that tells you that they dont check there answering machine regularly. After leaving a rude message asking what was going on i got a phone call about 40 minutes later with a kid calling asking me if i still wanted my delivery since they were so late. Are yoou kidding me!!!! He let me know that they were behind (DUH!!!) and tried to explain but at this point it was a little to late. I understand problems arise and i roll with them but when you dont let your customers know whats going on and also not having someone to talk to to solve problems is RIDICULOUS!!!!!! I ordered 15 chairs and a table and they didnt have my chairs that i needed thank god half my guests were kids that can sit on the grass... Then to add frosting to the cake they told me that i had a choice to keep the bounce house over night or they may be back late to pick up the bounce house. Now i scheduled to rent the bounce house from 12pm-7pm ... They told me that if i wanted to keep the bounce house they would charge me 35 extra for over night when i told him that no they could pick it up im not being charged anything extra and i didnt want it. First off this company should get 0 stars. I usually check Yelp before booking with any company, but I was desperate because all my son asked for for his 4th birthday was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle bounce house. This was the only company that had it available. I booked it as quickly as my fingers could fill out the form. I booked on July 21, 2013 and starting on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 I got an email from the company telling me not to worry and that they know that my party is coming up. There is NO need to contact them! I received another email the morning of August 16, 2013 stating the same thing. I actually felt more comfortable with the company because of these prompt emails. Then around 1:30PM, less than 24hrs before my party, the "owner" called me stating that the bouncer I booked wasn't available because the computer system double booked it. At first she offered to replace it with a different bouncer and when I was trying to work it out with my husband, she said, "OK I'll refund your money!" and hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to the manager, she said she was the owner. I told her I couldn't believe she run her company like this! WILL NEVER GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY AGAIN!! They had quoted me that the drop off for my bounce house would be from 7-12 on the Saturday of my son's birthday that started at 1. The Friday before I had talked to an associate of the company and she had told me no later then 11. So as Saturday went on 11 o'clock came and went. So at 12:15 I decided to call the company to see what was going on because I had not received a courteous call saying that they were running late. So the girl I talked to was very rude and not apologetic at all. All she had to say to me was that it will be there before your party starts, which was in 45 min. So now it is 12:45 and still no bounce house or update. So I call again and the same girl answers and acted like I was a nuisance to her, said that she would call the drive. 2 min later I got a call from the same number now a man telling me that he will call the driver and that I could keep the bounce house over night at that point I could really careless if I had it over night I would have liked it in time for my party. Right after I hung the phone up the driver calling me telling me that he was on his way and that he would be right there. Now to tell you I lived off of Sunrise right before Roseville. I asked him where he was at and he was at just getting off of HWY 50 on Sunrise. Said he would be there in 20 min. Anybody that knows Sunrise on a Saturday afternoon knows that they could not get to Roseville in 20 min from HWY 50. The bounce house finally showed up at 1:20. I never received an apology or any compensation. The driver had to borrow my dads hand truck because he didn't have his on him. The driver then touched base with me about me keeping it over night and said he will call me when he comes to pick it up on Sunday. Later that night at about 9pm I have knock on my door turned out it was the driver and the girl that original delivered it saying that they were here to pick it up. I had to remind her that they had agreed to let me keep it over night and he words were "oh yeah that's right we did tell one of our customers that we were going to do that". Wow so unorganized. So Sunday came and gone and no phone call. I called them at 7pm and the original girl had answered it, sounding like I had awoken her and just simply said "hi" as I went and introduced myself the phone call ended. Not sure if it was dropped or she hung up but I called right back and it rang and rang and rang and then went to voicemail. So my guess is that she hung up. So I left a voicemail and never received a call back. Monday morning and now my poor grass that this bounce house has been sitting on for 3 days has yet to see the sunlight. So again no phone call like I was originally told. So I called them around 4 to speak to some sort of manager and the guy said he could help me. Told him what all had happened and again no apology and only excuses. Rented a dunk tank and cotton candy machine for sons graduation party on a Saturday. Driver called Tuesday to set up delivery on Friday morning. Perfect time to fill up wirh water for party. Thursday morning as we were attending nephew's graduation driver calls and inform us we is unable to deliver as previously arranged, hes to busy with othet deliverys..my partner and I were forced to leave ceremony to contact company and try to figure out if we still had rentals for our party. They said they would honor the arrangements to be at our home Friday morning at 10 am after many phone calls they finally showed up at midnight with our equipment! !! Driver dis not know how to assemble dunk tank my husband had to instruct him..the next morning while filling t h e tank we discovered it had a leak and the cotton candy machine was broken. .they did send a driver out with new cotton candy machine but he had no patch kit for liner of tank we had to duct tape it.the scheduled pickup time for equipment was 7 pm sat night no one called or showed up to retrieve rentals.we dis not here from them until Tuesday at noon when they started calling repeatedly. . Had we used a card I would have disputed the charges but since they demand cash there was nothing we could do...there are plenty of other companies to choose from I wish I would have read these reviews before I booked with them. .could have saved myself alot of stress on our big day. read more

After reading the other reviews, I'm surprised that our experience was so easy. I recently rented a sumo suit for an end of the year party in Alameda. I called bounce time a little less than a week out from the event. They were able to find me a sumo suit in the bay area and promised to drop it off at our beach location. They sent me a receipt right away, a reminder a few days before, and called me the friday before our Saturday party to confirm time and location. I was happy and somewhat shocked when the driver arrived right on time day of. I know that this is a busy time of year for kids/school parties, so I wasn't too surprised when, at the end of the day, the driver was an hour late. However, he was communicative with me and kept in touch while on his way to meeting us. Although we were exhausted and ready to go by the time the driver arrived, his energy and interaction with us was very positive, and we were able to leave once the driver got there. Overall, the entire process was pretty smooth from the customer service to the day of delivery/pick up. I would use them again in the future, since the sumo suits were a hit with our teens. read more

on arrival of the jumper the drive drove on the front lawn. i asked for a happy Birthday theme for my 6 year old sister and the driving showed up with "angry birds".He started to set the jumper in the wrong direction of the yard. I Also order a non- scary clown, that was planned to face paint and bolloon twister at 2:30pm. around 2:45pm i called the office to check on the non-scary clown and no one seems to know what was going on. within an hour and a half i called the office 3 or 4 different times, and all i kept hearing was that she was on her way. still no clown we continue the party with cake and ice cream. then the clown shows up about 4:15pm,more than an hour or more after i paid for. The Clown was dress up in a red jumpsuit, ( i was told that the female clowns i was recieving would be dress up colorful outfits and tutus. because the sun was beginning to set and kids already had cake there was energy every wheerre and at first the "clown" seemed somewhat overwhelmed. i can say he tried his best but didnt finish till the sun when down and some of the guest were already gone. the pick up was schedule the jumper to be picked up at 6:30, the driver didnt show up till 10:00pm and had a female with him. i dont feel like i got what i paid for, i wish i got more of what my money was worth. Equipment delivery was on time. However it was not the bounce house we ordered! They even switched me at the last minute because they said they didn't have the one we ordered. But we still didn't get the one they switched us to. The kid chairs we extreamly dirty! They said it wasn't their job to clean them and that they just get so dirty in the wearhouse because they don't get rented often. Their staff was very rude. They brought their kids to my house to pick up the equipment and just let them run loose. They came early and were mad everything was not ready to go. Then as they were leaving they accused us of stealing a stuffed animal the girl had brought with her. We did not steal anything! I would never use them again!!! They are also liars saying my husband called mad and said they were late picking up the stuff and to get here now and get it. omg the worst company i have ever delt with. i have never written a review in my life.but these people have the worst customer service. here is what happened i bought a water slide for my sons birthday and the night they delivered it it was late and dark my son went down the slide and got stuck i thought it was just dark and i would try again in the morning. the next day my son slid down the slide and fell int the slide and almost suffercated. it scared him to death he is only 4. so i called to try and exchange it and they told me no all sales are final so i then tried to exchange it for something else and they said they wont have anything for months . so i then said then please just give me my money back . they said never ever would we give anybody the money back.. if they just would have helped in any way i would have made this so easy for them but the manager was so rude that now i will have to take them to court and by the way this is there idea the manager said thats what courts are for is to decide who is right and who is wrong... really my son almost dies in this pile of crap and was bleeding from all over and she wants a judge to decide who right and whos wrong please do not use this company . i never wanted to be a problem for anybody i just wanted a little customer service a easy exchange or money back would have solved this. instead you have to take these people to court and make a judge decide.. just not worth the aggravation read more
