We came at the invitation of friends. We had never heard of it and loved the idea of eating under the 200+ year old FL live oak. Owned by a couple who met in culinary school. They moved here to their family farm to open their dream bistro. All food is grown or raised locally. We had the beet skin appetizer, split the roast beef au jus sandwich and fresh zucchini side. A solid 4 star. It was very good, but the sandwich was quite messy. The potato and corn soup was just ok. But the five star for us was our server, Autumn. She made our experience delightful.

BYOB Alert! Saw a table of women enjoying a birthday meal over a few bottles and it looked jubilant. We stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon around 1pm and things were bumping! We had a 20 minute wait to peruse the farmers market and bask in the shade. The food was amazing. Fresh, delicious and organic. The bread was really tasty. LOVED the crispy beet skins and fried goat cheese with delicious pomodoro sauce. They were sold out of some things already which was a bummer but we still got an incredibly tasty meal in a beautiful setting at the base of spectacular tree overlooking the grounds. Everyone who served us was a complete delight and so friendly. Will definitely be back if we come through! They also have a sweet tea that is super refreshing (not too sweet)! Yum!

The service was great. Waitress very attentive. The food was good. Avocado was wonderful. My displeasure was with the cashier he was rude and had a mean attitude. He caused his servicer to be under tipped. I personally will not return.

Bountiful Bistro sits under a large GORGEOUS tree with the view of the farm store and garden. We made reservations as it was suggested for Saturday at lunch time. Distanced dining with friendly wait staff in masks. The menu has me wanting to try everything! There are apps, salads and various sandwiches. All veggies grown and fresh picked that day or so. I love a good fries green tomato so I had to test these out. These giant juicy and deliciously breaded tomatoes certainly passed the test. They were delivered on a bed of greens and had the right amount of crisp to them. We shared a delicious salad, super fresh veggies and homemade dressings. We also spit the savory grilled chicken sandwich and the hey Mikey. Both came recommended and neither disappointed. Everything was super fresh and tasty. Even the bread was made that day! Once finished with your meal j recommend heading over to the shop to check out the fruits and veggies for sale. All grown on premise or items from locals. We planned our day around a hike as lunch... it was a perfect combo for this area and day!

It doesn't get more farm to table than sitting under an oak tree at a cozy table watching the staff cut the lettuce that will go into your salad. What a unique and charming experience! The food was good too. Between four of us we had the roasted yellow beet skins, egg rolls (that were good but somewhat juicy inside), the Asian salad, the burger, the mahi mahi sandwich and the heirloom tomato salad. All were very tasty. The mahi sandwich was an especially arge piece of fish and tasty. We shared a piece of strawberry pie for dessert which was not overly sweet. If you are looking for authentic food, do not. Is this place.

Fantastic lunch! Great service, food and atmosphere. It's a bit of a drive from Orlando area but totally worth it. Plan an afternoon drive to the country.

This beautiful tree is what you eat this amazing food!

Another great menu this year! Look, we have been going here for the past couple of years and again, never disappointed in ANYTHING we have been served! The food is off the charts delicious and the wait staff is nothing less than FABULOUS!!! The cooking staff, I don't know how they come up with these combinations, but it works and works amazingly!!! Trust me, you will not be disappointed!!!

The service was HORRIBLE. It was not the servers fault as nothing was coming out of the kitchen.

We were on our way to family in Ocala early in the morn when i knew it was time to stop for some coffee(the wife doesnt do wel without her java). I did a quick search for a spot, and saw a dunkin nearby. I exited the highway and headed that way. as I got closer I grinned. I had never been to the Villages. My gal didn't know what that was so as we pulled up and parked she said, "what town is this". I just played dumb. We walked into the Brownwood square and I had to tell her. She really didn't know much about the Villages so I filled her in. for my first impression it was great. The farmers market wrapped around the square and trickled out to the side streets some as well. They had the usual thing you would hope for like produce and pieces of art made by locals. But it had other things you dotn see often like some more quirky artisans, multiple flower and plant booths, empanadas, and the one that hooked me, a both that had all kind of mushrooms to eat. We swing by here about once a month for the farmers market, and enjoy it every time.

It got so bad that at contract renewal they were forced to accept new vendors but the quality of stands has been declining and the cost of goods is insanely high. This is also one of the few local markets where I've actually seen a large selection of fresh produce and and farm goods available. It was refreshing to see so many people bring their market bags on wheels, wagons, etc. ready to purchase fresh fruits & veggies and support our local farmers. Beautiful watermelons, tomatoes, papaya, lettuces, corn, peppers, zucchini, and more. There's a good mix of vendors ranging from jewelry and handcrafted goods to food trucks and specialty food items. We got mango coladas, mango flower with tajin, breakfast tacos, and of course, kettle corn. Huge plus that there is the downtown splash pad for all the kids to play right in the middle of all the action.
