Though I miss the farmer's markets immensely, and can't wait to visit their booth to pick out my own produce, I can trust each farm box to contain high quality, tasty, and safe organic produce. I just bought a farm membership for the upcoming season and consider it an investment in my health, in supporting my local food supply, and in supporting our ecosystem by eating local and in season.

Pricing can be a little on the higher side, but I think that has a lot to do with the area. A great place for a Sunday morning stroll to pick up some local produce and things for the week to come Super casual parking can be tough at times, but if you go early enough, you can get in and out before it gets too crowded. I would say out of all the farmers markets I have been to this one seems to get the most crowded around 10 AM.

The vendors were friendly and welcoming. The market features a wide range of items from refreshing sugarcane lime juice to flowers to honey to arts/crafts and other homemade products. The market is pet friendly with vendors who cater specifically to our feline and canine family members. I met an Old English sheepdog named Winston. Winston has beautiful brown eyes and is friendly. Divilma was also present featuring our favorite cinnamon rolls. Under the Winter Garden Pavilion we found a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. The buckets of sunflowers created a bright and beautiful sea of yellow. It was a vision to behold. The nearby splash area is perfect for the little ones to cool down on a hot day.

We were on our way to family in Ocala early in the morn when i knew it was time to stop for some coffee(the wife doesnt do wel without her java). I did a quick search for a spot, and saw a dunkin nearby. I exited the highway and headed that way. as I got closer I grinned. I had never been to the Villages. My gal didn't know what that was so as we pulled up and parked she said, "what town is this". I just played dumb. We walked into the Brownwood square and I had to tell her. She really didn't know much about the Villages so I filled her in. for my first impression it was great. The farmers market wrapped around the square and trickled out to the side streets some as well. They had the usual thing you would hope for like produce and pieces of art made by locals. But it had other things you dotn see often like some more quirky artisans, multiple flower and plant booths, empanadas, and the one that hooked me, a both that had all kind of mushrooms to eat. We swing by here about once a month for the farmers market, and enjoy it every time.

TIP - Bring cash!…read more I've heard about Swap-O-Rama in the little town of Webster for quite a while now, and I finally had the chance to visit! They're only open on Mondays, which normally doesn't work with my schedule (lol). But with Memorial Day falling on a Monday, we finally made the trip. It is also their busiest day of the year. We arrived around 9:30 a.m., though I believe they open as early as 7 a.m. Even though we stayed until around 11:45, we probably only covered about 1/3 of the entire venue. The place is big! Swap-O-Rama features both indoor and outdoor spaces, with rows and rows of vendors selling everything imaginable. From antiques, tools, clothes, electronics, collectibles, handmade crafts, plants, and household items. They also have an entire aisle of produce and fruits. We left with a couple pounds of grapes for just $2 and a decent-sized watermelon for $3. Once we got home, my husband sliced it up, it was sweet and delicious. There's no shortage of food here. We saw vendors selling: Fresh coffee and lemonade, Kabobs, Kettle corn, Corn on the cob, Hot dogs, beer and more. Swap-O-Rama in Webster is a fun day trip worth making, especially on Memorial Day. I am already making plans to go back next year.

But Clermont's farmers market may just take the cake. Not only does it span the long main road in downtown Clermont, but this market branches off i onto multiple side streets as well. It's a pretty big market compared to many in Florida. It's also every sunday whereas the majority of markets are saturday mornings. If you are a foodie, then this will be an even more amazing market. They have an impressive array of small businesses serving many types of food, from Brazilian to Colombian to homemade bagels & pretzels to yummy fresh pressed lemonades and much more. But you can also find an assortment of other types of products, like clothes, retro gaming systems, books, kitchen utensils, keychains, rugs, other outdoor house decor, and beyond. There was even a guy selling old golf clubs for decent prices. It took us well over an hour to walk around here and we didn't even really see everything. Clermont is already such an adorable and quaint area and getting to stroll its little market was splendid. Definitely recommend visiting for a fun and chill weekend activity.

The fish monger has fresh fish. I love the variety and he has ice to keep it safe for the ride home. I'd bring a cooler. I bring my rolling cart/stroller. You'll be glad you did. Your hoard gets heavy. There's plenty of produce. My favorite day to go is on Sunday morning. Nothing's cheap but it's not as expensive as places like Publix, Earth Fare or Sprouts. There are a ton of places! Inside and outside, there are plenty of tables and high tops to sit at. There is a lot of grassy areas outside for kids to run around as well. The best part of Plant Street is that everyone in your party can get something different but all sit together and enjoy each other's company. MY wife and I tend to do this alot. We order smaller things from a few booths and then share everything. During the weekends and then also throughout the year, Plant Street has events such as Octoberfest, pet adoption and live singers, to name a few. This usually will bring more people here and to be honest, parking can be tough. Their private parking lot is not incredibly large and also shares with a few restaurants across from them, not located inside the market. My wife and I try to go early when we visit. We want a table to sit down, even though you can easily walk around with your food. If you cannot find parking, there is a parking garage which will be a slight walk over. The parking garage is closer to where the farmer's market is. Everyone who works at the different vendors are always very nice. I believe they are Crooked Can employees, but people will walk around picking up your beer glasses for you. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. They are priced appropriate for what you get. At the end is Crooked Can brewery. This is the main draw to Plant Street. They are the largest vendor occupying one end as well as a smaller bar area on the other end. Their beers are very good, also being sold in stores. Their vendors are mostly food including Jam Hot Chicken, Axom Coffee, Tea place, Empanada and Co., Bento Sushi, Michael's Ali Pizza, Sit Benji's Donuts, a BBQ place and more. There are quite a few. They also have a mac and cheese stand, a cheese place, chocolate place, and then a butcher with food to buy and bring home. Inside and outside, they offer tables and high tops to sit at. What I love the most, is you could all get something different, which might be great for those that cannot agree. What my husband and I love to do, is to order small things from a few booths and share it all. We get to try a bunch of things and not get super full really fast. On the weekends, and throughout the year they do tend to have many events. Which brings more people here. The parking can be tough, their lot is not incredibly large so we do like to get here early. If you cannot find parking, there is a parking garage but this is going to be a slight walk over to Plant Street. The parking garage is closer to where the farmer's market is.
