Glory is by far my favorite boutique in Ktown. If you're looking for one of a kind, unique Korean…read morestyle fashions, these ladies have got you! I happened to stumble across Glory when they first opened, and the owners are a very friendly and warm mom and daughter who have literally the best fashion taste. They have always have a discounted rack outside their store of styles that are 50%+ off. The quality is superb, the garments are mostly a cotton or cotton blend and just so comfortable with special details such as pleats and darts strategically placed to make the most flattering cuts. I really appreciate the ladies offering discounts here and there if you purchase multiple items and they always remember me, so I know they make their customers feel so special. The shopping experience really reminds me of shopping in Tokyo or Hong Kong (sadly I haven't traveled to Korea yet but would love to) and discovering new interesting items on every visit. A real gem is their pants collection. They have simply the most fantastic pieces and most of them have elastic waistbands so it can fit virtually all sizes! I gained some weight so most other boutiques don't offer these types of pants. I purchased some in the past and it's held up extremely well, and I get compliments everywhere I go when wearing it. A bonus is their resusable shopping bags. I LOVE their bags and use it all the time. Be sure to follow them on their IG for the latest clothing they offer https://www.instagram.com/glory__losangeles

I grew up in Koreatown all throughout the 90s and very glad this place is still around. Also glad…read morethey've been taking a jab at social media. It deserves to be known. It's actually interesting to see a diverse crowd hang out here compared to back then when it was nothing but Korean people. The first floor retains most of the stores that existed back then too; Music Plaza which always had an insane selection of Korean music, the quaint coffee shop near the food court, the stationary store and bookstore near the elevator and of course the Food Court itself. Has the best prices of all sorts of Korean cuisine out there; I always gravitate towards the Dddukgook (Rice Cake Soup). The H-Mart used to be the mall's own market (called Plaza Market). I was a small kid back then, but it's quite congested as a grown adult over 6 foot tall. The layout is exactly the same from back then and I love it. There used to be a very tiny bakery next to the H-Mart on the left, but they have a much larger bakery on the right. The decor is still that same 80s-esque pink and teal tile, which I hope they never change. The second floor used to have this toy store that used to sell all sorts of Power Rangers and Pokemon toys. I miss it dearly, albeit I believe it was very overpriced back then lol. I believe it's the mail store now. The third floor used to have this appliance/electronics store called "ABC Plaza". It had literally everything from USA albums, Korean appliances, and a whole section for Japanese import games. As a kid it felt like paradise. I believe it's now turning into a gym, which is cool in itself. My wife bought me some Pokemon cards from that toy store near the food court, and it reactivated all my memories. Please stay around, K-Town Plaza!

The elevator has a 4-person limit and going over that will cause the elevator to become stuck and beep very loud (which is so sketchy). The permit listed on the elevator expired in 2023 as well. It's always lively and bustling with younger AND older generations of Koreans plus plenty of non-Koreans looking to explore the culture! As someone who has lived in Koreatown his whole life, this place is a pillar of Korean-American culture. By the way, cell reception is completely non-existent in many areas of the mall including H-Mart and the food court. Restrooms are on the first floor.

A Hidden Gem of Elegance…read more Nestled away in an unassuming Koreatown building, this dress shop is truly a hidden gem. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of traditional sophistication. The walls were lined from floor to ceiling in rolls of silk in every color imaginable. I thought places like this only existed in Korea. The selection of dresses is simply divine, ranging from timeless classics to trendier pieces that still carry traditional charm. Each hanging garment reflects the impeccable taste and skill of the shop's owner. This sophisticated shop isn't like most others in Southern California - the focus is mainly custom work as opposed to selling or renting what's already been made. What truly sets this shop apart is the kindness of the shopowner and her personalized service. She's not just a salesperson; she is a true stylist and designer, dedicated to helping you find and customize the perfect dress for your occasion. Her attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction are unparalleled. The craftmanship of our hanbok left me in awe, each fold and seam added beauty to the traditionally dyed silk fabric. From our first visit to the store, our follow-up phone calls, and our latest visit for our fitting, as well as her promise to continue after-care once our garments become worn, she left me knowing I'd be back in the again with my friends, siblings, and future children. Her pricing is very fair. It cost me several hundred per rental at a neighboring shop for our mothers to have matching hanboks for our wedding. It was the going rate, and all comparable shops quoted the same. For about 3 times the rental cost, I was able to choose my own fabric and color scheme for my custom-tailored one-of-a-kind dress, which came out even more beautifully than I had imagined. In short, if you're looking for a hanbok shop outside of Korea that combines impeccable custom handiwork with personalized service, look no further. This hidden gem is a must-visit for anyone in search of the perfect hanbok.
