I found this store on Google while searching for dance supplies and was excited to see what used…read moreitems they might have in stock for ballet and tap. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by a young lady who kindly showed us their selection. Unfortunately, they didn't have tap shoes in the size we needed, but she went out of her way to bring out a new pair to check the fit. She was very helpful, and I appreciated her customer service. The disappointment came when I inquired about the price. While I was still planning to purchase ballet slippers, the older woman in the store abruptly told me, "So you know next time there's a $10 fitting fee. I don't do this so people can try on the size and buy online." The way she said it was condescending and made me feel very small, as if I had done something wrong by simply checking sizing. I even offered to pay the fee since I hadn't been aware of it, but the tone she used left me feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. If I had been told upfront that there was a $10 fitting fee, that would have been completely fine and understandable. It was the way it was delivered -- with bitterness and condescension -- that made the experience so hurtful. Just because I couldn't afford the $48 new tap shoes at that moment didn't mean I wouldn't have returned in the future or bought used items when available. Instead, I left feeling hurt and told my daughter to put away the ballet slippers I had planned on buying. This was an extremely disappointing experience. While the young lady was wonderful, the older woman's rudeness completely soured the visit. Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness, regardless of what they're able to spend.

On more than one occasion they've been closed up during normal business hours. They should put that…read moreon a message recording, rather than a basic sign slapped up on the glass door. Twice I've needed something ASAP, only to drive over and find them closed up. Both times I ended up driving to the Dancing Shoe store in Fort Myers and finding what I needed.

It was mentioned to me days ago but I thought they were fine. It was uncomfortable. When I returned them I spoke with AMELIA. She was also a great salesperson. I appreciated her response to my dilemma. She was extremely helpful. Got the extra wide that I needed and back to wearing the HOKA's a different color but that's ok. My feet aren't feeling "claustrophobic". LOL. Great staff in this store.

But I needed the Wide as I was training for a Camino de Santiago. A pilgrimage from Porto Portugal to Santiago Spain. I knew this was the perfect shoe for my Camino. Your feet have a tendency to swell when walking long distances, so I knew I needed the wide for the toe bed to be comfortable. The shoe was a perfect fit. I wore toe socks and wool socks for this 250 mile journey. Over large boulders, up hills and through forests, paths covered in tree roots, sandy along the Atlantic coastline. Rainy weather was no worries for these shoes. No problem with blisters. The shoes worked like a champ. Came home and threw them into wash. No issues. I think they're ready to go again. Thank you Fit to Run for an exceptional shoe that holds up in the worst of times.
