Loved this restaurant! What a treasure. People have commented on the decor which I adored. Very cool with lots of nods to the local history though in a modern way. I loved the oil barrel can lights in the ceiling. Our server, Kendra, was a delight. The food was delicious. Arrival: Greeted nicely, seated immediately. Server: Not UNfriendly... She stopped by a couple of times to see how things were going. Didn't tell us of the special (lamb chops) which I would have ordered. I heard later the server at the table adjacent tell the table that lamb chops were the special. There is a lot of hustle and bustle going on with the servers. It seems that it takes two or three (or more) servers to deliver a meal to a table, each carrying a plate/s, so it's a busy atmosphere. I understand that it gets everyone's food to the table at the same time, but busy nonetheless. All the servers wear black, which I think is nice. Food: I looked at the online menu before we arrived and chose what I wanted for dinner. When we arrived, we were handed a paper menu and that item wasn't on it. So, I ordered sauteed chicken breast with a lemon sauce. I received two chicken breasts on a large plate sitting in what was broth and not "sauce". The chicken wasn't dry, but lacked flavor. I also ordered a loaded baked potato, which was huge and excellent. My partner ordered the fried prawns and zucchini. The prawns were huge, cooked perfectly, and delicious. We were given two rolls before dinner, which were pale, microwaved, and gummy. Ambience/Atmosphere: The newly renovated space is beautiful and something that you won't find in any other restaurant in Havre. You might think you weren't actually in Havre but for the men eating dinner with their baseball caps still on their heads. Prices: On the higher side for the food, wine, and cocktails. Salad doesn't come with a meal. Sides don't come with a meal. Overall: You're not paying for the food, you're paying for the remodel. They change their menu often, but don't update their online menu. They run specials for holidays/special occasions. I would like to see a solid, dedicated menu where the food/accoutrements are consistent. read more

This is a gem! From the moment we walked into the door, we knew we chose the right place! The atmosphere, the design, the decor....absolutely on point! The service was top notch, and the food was nothing short of perfection! I've lived in Montana my entire life and I have never had a dinner experience anywhere in Montana like Bow & Marrow. The decor in the room is outstanding. Modern with rustic accents, but very complementary to the region. The staff was so kind, so friendly and helpful. But the food, no words to explain how incredibly good the beef was! Not only beef but everything we ordered was perfect. My husband had the tomahawk steak and everyone needs to do that at least once!
