This is probably my favorite pizza place. I love pizza and considering its my husbands favorite food we have it a lot. I absolutely love this place and given the choice I'd never eat another pizza from anywhere else again. The crust on the pizza is unbelievably good and I absolutely love the texture of it, and the sauce and toppings have always been top notch. Ive ordered pizza from here a few times now and have yet to have anything that tastes anything but divine. Now here's a wonderful discovery in this food desert.... This pizza is unique, almost a pie due to the crust and deeper than usual deep dish. The crust is literally pie crust like. I'm from Seattle. How is that relevant? We have some great pizza. So while contemplating dinner in Havre I wasn't thinking pizza. Until a Havre friend recommended Halivka's. We had two different pies, including one called the "mess up". Both were excellent. I would patronize this small take-out restaurant if it were in Seattle and recommend it to other pizza snobs. Live nearby in a small town. Somehow never heard of it until a guest of mine told me about it from when they were in college. Lived up to all of the hype he gave me! Family business with a nice Montana feel. My grandmother and I were in town when I thought it was the perfect time to finally try it. We took it home "partially cooked" so that we could throw it in the oven when we got home. It was amazing! The cheese was so good and toppings were perfectly cooked. New to town and we have been trying to share the dollar and try all the eateries around the area. So we ordered three different pizzas to get a good idea of options, we were disappointed. In my opinion the crust is reminiscent of a quiche crust, very dense. The toppings are adequately represented and make the pizza look very good. The overall taste was mediocre but okay. So this pizza is not for our family, we will stick with a local hometown competitor or Domino's. I suggest trying it for yourself and we did not order any sandwiches this time so that's also an option, we will be back sometime to try the sandwiches. read more

Being in town to hunt for several days, my son, my granddaughter and I had heard that Nalivka's was a great pizza, so we decided to try it. In the words of my 10 year old granddaughter, " Papa, this is horrible." It was. And expensive. Not fresh ingredients, not a good crust, too heavy on mozzarella to cover a mess underneath and a flavor-less red sauce. The inside of their building is old, dirty, cramped and someone's smoking on the other side of a wall with a big hole in the dropped ceiling, so you're forced to wait in a smoke filled room. If you call this good pizza, you've never had good pizza, heck, you've never had mediocre pizza. I'd give it a 0 if I could. read more

Came here because of the reviews. Not a lot of good choices in this town. Ordered the chicken bacon sandwich with pepper jack (as recommended). What a disappointment. A bit soggy with grease and did not expect diced chicken in my sandwich. Made it difficult for me to eat. The pieces of chicken fell out of my sandwich...quite a mess! Nothing beats Nalivka's pizza. I've got a long history of patronage with the restaurant, and my mother used to work there when she was younger so there's definitely a nostalgia factor to my love of this place. It's difficult to describe how great the pizza here can be, it's just something you have to try. The pizza is very heavy though, and yes, it's greasy - but it's leaps and bounds above any of the competition in Havre, and is one of the few truly unique things this town has to offer diners. Note that it's cash or check only take-out, so if you're just visiting call ahead and pop over to Peppin Park a few blocks away to enjoy :) read more
