He does not…read moreaccept insurance, so he is out of network and therefore more expensive than other gynecological surgeons. However, he has a track record of 86% of endometriosis patients not needing follow-up surgeries. This is possible due to his ability to remove tissue from major organs and structures - he takes his time to accomplish this (my surgery was over 7 hours). Other surgeons use ablation and/or need to perform laparotomies to work with the intestines, but Dr. Robbins has the skill to perform major surgery laproscopically. This cuts recovery time in half and limits complications. Dr. Robbins is also very gentle and patient, and he likes to educate his patients about their disease - you won't find other surgeons who take the time. He prides himself on evolving his technique after 30 years of experience, as well as for listening to his patients. For endometriosis patients with a history of poor treatment, missed diagnoses, and being brushed off, Dr. Robbins will feel like a miracle.

He has been doing this along time and it is beyond proficient and detailed. Recently, I had an urgent episode, a twisted ovary-excrucitatingly painful. Dr Robbins made himself available to resolve the problem and 2 days after surgery, I am resting and moving about. I am so impressed by his work that I realized that not all surgeons are alike even if they are doing the "same" procedure.

When I needed surgery, the date of my surgery was the day after Dr Carol would be retiring. Dr. Pellitier would be taking over her patients and was assured I would be in good hands. Surgery went well and the recovery was a little rocky. At one of my follow ups Dr. Pellitier's response to my question, how long the healing will take? She told me that it would take awhile, especially at my age! I was in my early 40's and felt I was in excellent health. This statement was not appropriate and offensive. Billing became an issue after the surgery because they billed my insurance with Dr P as the primary surgeon and Dr P as the assistant!! How could she do both roles? Naturally my insurance rejected and Generations sent me into collections! After SEVERAL months they finally understood that indeed it was their error and fixed so they could get paid appropriately. The whole ordeal was very unpleasant so left the practice after 20+ years. Fast forward to 8 years later and I am in need of a new doctor. I turned to generations to find a new one. I was willing to give them another shot, so sent in a request for a visit with Dr A. Jennifer, the office manager, replied asking why I wanted to come back. I explained how I was in need of a new doctor and wanted to return to the practice I used for over twenty years. Jennifer informed me that Dr P covers for Dr A and that it would not work for me. I stated that surely with 12 other doctors that would not always be the case and I would be happy to give Dr P another shot. Jennifer then says to me "our billing practices have not changed" wait what?!? Who said anything about billing?!? It was then I realized that they had read my review of Dr P from 8 years before and was holding it against me. This was very sad to hear. I group of grown women are discriminating over a review. Here was the perfect opportunity to remedy the situation they created and yet fell on their faces to say "you are not a good fit for us". So there you have it; nurses who have a sworn duty to care for others rejecting a patient based on a review when they could have rose above and try to do better.

I asked her what her plans were and when she told me she was opening a practice at Inner Balance well there was no options for me but to follow her there. She is the finest Gynecologist I have ever had the "pleasure" of seeing. Lets face it having a pap isn't the ideal way of spending the day. But she knows her stuff so to speak; Gentle, kind, extremely knowledgeable and always there to answer any questions you might have. I always have questions, some of them have been laughable. Bottom line Dr. Arnold is the greatest and having been introduced to Inner Balance was an extra plus.

I was having daily crippling pain in my pelvis for a year to the point I could not work. After an excision surgery in Boston to find the cause, my pain was only slightly better. I stumbled upon Inner Balance and was on a path to healing. I had a tight and dysfunctional pelvic floor, pelvis and low back from years of bracing due to stress and pain. I have a home routine and visit twice a week as well as see Dr. Arnold who has a realistic and individualized approach to treating women's pain. I am off all medication (including hormonal BC) and my pain is controlled. Now if the pain comes I now own the pain instead of it owning me and can address it with the tools I have been given by these awesome women. A great comfortable atmosphere, a wonderful place to feel safe and start your healing.

One of the top gynecologists in the country! No question about it…read more He's the kind of doctor who has it all: great bedside manners, accurate diagnosis, highly skilled, and above all he's got compasion in his heart. He diagnosed my endometriosis even though it was microscopic, and he used excellent excision skills to take it out. The result: quick recovery and acheived pregnancy after two years of trying everything. Dr. Robbins is my savior. He is the kind of doctor who will call you to see how you're doing. I was out of town so he visited me all the way to my motel to do the post op appointment (and he did not even bill for that). Where can you find that nowadays? He is worth every penny I spent on travel! I went to see him all the way from San Diego, California. Do your body a favor and go see Dr. Robbins.

Dr. Robbins is top notch…read more I traveled 9 hours to see him for endometriosis excision surgery. I had a complicated case and he provided me with the utmost in care. During my case review he demonstrated that he has very deep knowledge and understanding of my disease, provided me with his realistic predictions of how he could help me, and explained in depth the various outcomes of my upcoming surgery. In my preoperative appointment he was compassionate, careful and clear, taking all the time I needed to review my case notes and help me understand my disease and the treatment that he had planned. Through his explanations, he spoke to me respectfully and was never condescending. He even took time out of his busy day to provide sight-seeing suggestions to my family so that they wouldn't sit restlessly in the waiting room during my long surgery. Before the surgery he was calm and reassuring to both me and my worried family members. Afterward, he clearly explained everything he had done during the surgery and what he expected my outcome to be. He provided me with his direct cell number and email address so that I could contact him quickly and directly if I had any concerns during my recovery. Once I was out of the hospital and recovering at my hotel, he visited me at my hotel room and painstakingly reviewed my operative reports and photographs, explaining clearly and in detail each task that he had performed during my surgery. I was a mess inside, but he managed to save one of my damaged ovaries and repair damage to my bladder caused by another doctor. I felt relief of my symptoms within days of surgery, and now 5 months post op I am a different, much healthier person. Many surgeons would have moved on at this point, but Dr. Robbins continues to be available whenever I have any questions or concerns regarding my health. He is: knowledgeable patient skilled compassionate accessible dedicated and clearly cares deeply about the health of his patients.

Ten minutes later they called me back and said they had a cancellation, and asked if I could be there at 2. When I got there, I was petrified but everyone was so kind and gentle and helpful. Once I got in the exam room I couldn't stop crying and everybody was understanding and kind about it. The midwife who placed my IUD did it really quickly and clearly had a lot of experience. She told me everything she was going to do before she did it and asked for consent, which I always appreciate in a medical environment. She made me feel comfortable, and even though it inherently wasn't a great experience, every single person in this office made it manageable and I came away with positive feelings about my experience at Planned Parenthood, despite the circumstances. For anyone else wondering, they even said that I could bring my kids if I needed to (they just needed to be in a stroller during the procedure). I didn't end up needing to, but I appreciated that they would accommodate that without question. This is my third experience with Planned Parenthood (two different offices) and all three have been stellar.
