I've used the services of this mechanic a couple times before for basic things like oil change and…read morechanging break pads however this last time I had a bit more work to be done. I explained what the issue was as best as I can being someone that knows very little about cars and he said he will do an assessment and let me know. He later called and explained what the issue was and what needed to be done. $500+ later and the car still has the same issue. I took it back let him know the issue has not been resolved. He examined the car then stated NEW repairs are needed other than what he previously done and it will be an additional $1300 to make the repairs. This is a clear example of someone taking advantage of people that don't know much about the inner workings of cars. Initially he claimed he knew what the problem was and assured me he fixed it and obviously that was false now it appears this is an attempt to trick a customer into spending more money to fix the same problem. Be warned!

We dropped our car off on a Monday and didn't get to pick it up until the week after due to them not knowing what was wrong with it. They said that the car needed a new control system. we were charged for said service and went about our business. Four days later, our car started making funny noises. It turns out that they put THE WRONG OIL and after paying for a new control system, the windows eventually stopped going up all together. BEWARE OF THIS BUISNESS!!! I previously used to Bring my car to this business for 5+ years and counted on it as a reliable trustworthy business when Andy and his staff were there. He has now retired, and unfortunately, it has not been the same.

Needed my car inspected and oil changed. I had been going to dealers for my service. The last…read moretrip they had a whole list of items that "needed to be done". I decided it was time to look around for someplace else to work on my car. During my research for a good mechanic I came across Al's. Decided to give them a try. I spoke with Chris and I gave him the list from the dealer of work they said had to be done (at an exorbitant rate). Well Chris took the list and said he would look at the car and see what it needed. Turns out it was an inspection and oil change. He did recommend that the tires would need to replaced soon. A few months went by and I decided it was time so I went back. I had a tire in mind that Chris said was a good tire however he recommended a tire his father just put on his vehicle. I went with Chris' recommendation. Went for a ride out on the Island. Car ran better than new. His tire recommendation was spot on. Great honest place. I met Al too. Very nice guy as well. Won't be going any place else with my cars. Glad I found them. Went in for a cylinder 1 misfire and they didn't even run diagnostics on their end to confirm. They just changed the coil and they said I also had a gas leak. Charged me $250 just to tighten a hose and change a coil. They didn't confirm if the issue was the coil or the fuel injector. They also broke my coolant pipes and refused to fix it. I had to spend an extra $200 to supply the parts so they can install it. Only after I told Raj I have video proof showing my coolant wasn't leaking before I dropped it off is when he wanted to fix it as a "favor". They didn't even clean the pool of coolant, said I have to go get it cleaned at a wash. They are super unprofessional and uneducated. I shouldn't have paid them a dime.
