They offer all sorts of western cuisine - burgers, pizzas (brick oven) and steaks. Dunno why Yelp labels them as Asian fusion. Irregardless I fasted most of the day and got a four cheese pie sent to my room. Not a NJ pie but very good! I am a fan and will have a sit down meal on my next AMS ron. read more

A disappointment. I have had some good meals here in the past but tonight was not one of them. Staff seemed entirely distracted and unable to offer any sort of focus on service. Our server took a very long time to arrive and even then did not seem interested in our table. I asked some questions and received arrogant answers. Another served brought someone else's food to our table and seemed very skeptical when we said it was not ours. Our food, when it did correctly arrive, food was acceptably prepared. This is a hotel restaurant - inside the Hilton at Schiphol Airport. Actually, the Bowery was the best restaurant we found in Amsterdam - kind of disappointing we were not able to find superior food served anywhere else over 3-4 days. I am NOT a fan of breakfast buffets, but this one changed my mind. They have an omelette station that will prepare custom omelettes, fried eggs, and/or some of the best pancakes I have ever had. The buffet also has bacon, sausage, deli meats, cheeses, every bread you could want (fresh/hot croissants), pastries, cereals, fruit, smoothies, and on. That was the best of Bowery, the worst was our first meal. We were tired and decided to eat at the hotel pretty quick after checking in. I ordered the recommended fish (grilled sea bass) and veggies - both were bad. The fish was under cooked, the veggies over cooked, and the waitress we had simply stopped waiting on us. We had to flag down a waiter who was very busy with his own tables to express our concerns about the poorly prepared meal. We were not surprised that he could not do much for us - not even take the meals off our ticket. We left hungry and disappointed. We told a hotel employee about the experience and were talked into giving them another try. I have to say that I'm glad we did because we enjoyed several good meals there afterward. Love their Dim Sum appetizer, and most everything else we ate was pretty good. Lesson learned - don't give up on a restaurant after one bad meal, it might just be a bad night. read more

Food is very good for a hotel restaurant. It is fine dining prices but I think it's worth it. I have ordered several items off the menu and everything has been decent so far. We tried the mushroom bitterballen appetizer and it was delicious. My entree was the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly. Very good with the chimichurri sauce. The Waldorf salad side was not what I expected. It was more a slaw with green apples, celery and raisins which wasn't that great but edible. Overall, not bad for food, service was pretty slow, prices a bit high but I would still eat here again if I'm tired and didn't feel like leaving the hotel for dinner. read more

The one good thing about this restaurant was our server. I don't know his name but he's from Nepal and was very friendly. The burger was trash. I wrung so much grease out of it the server brought me FIVE napkins to mop my plate. The fries were hard and orange. I couldn't even get a fork in one. I sent them back and got another portion within one minute. Also hard and overcooked. For 30 euros this meal was shameful. My husband had the satay. The meat was a bit dry and it came with very little sauce. Stay away unless you like bad food and being ripped off. read more

I never expected hotel food to be this good. The goat cheese dipping brings out all flavoring of the sour dough bread. Pan fried salmon is so well seasoned - crispy outside and tender in...white asparagus with eggy source is a light but lifting to the taste buds. Chocolate brownie with Lemon Caramel crisp and chocolate sorbet brings in subtle balance of sweet, sour and bitterness, accompanied with great Espresso ends the dinner in high notes! Surprisingly great food with good service. Highly recommended! My flight from London was delayed four hours, so we were tired and it was late when we arrived at the hotel. My husband's been here before and said it was great, so we dined here for dinner. We ordered a burger with fries and salmon teriyaki. The complementary bread was very good and fresh, and they baked at the kitchen. We waited about 15 minutes for food. My burger was so big (about 15cm high)! Teriyaki salmon was presented beautifully. Both food tasted very good. My burger was cooked perfectly and came with an egg, bacon, and veggies. The portions were large, and the prices were generous. The service was good. I had one of my best meals ever at the Bowery.... Sautéed salmon with a Panko and pistachio crust with with broccoli, cauliflower mussels and buerre blanc. I slowed down near the end because I knew I'd be sad to be finished. My waiter was very attentive and pleasant. She recommended a wine that was perfect. Gin and tonic good but laksa was a joke - nothing close to authentic laksa. Shrimp were tiny dried shrimp and laksa was a very salty and watery poor excuse for the thick coconut soup of a real laksa soup base. You could make better laksa at home with laksa paste bought in international supermarkets. They need to either buy a better paste or just remove this from the menu. Wasted my time walking over to this restaurant from the airport so don't waste your time. read more

As others have said, was very pleasantly surprised. Expected hotel restaurant by the airport to be average and I would have been fine. This, however was well above average. I'd rate it a strong 4+ stars if it was located in the city. Given that it's right next to the airport, it's definitely 5 stars. The menu is big enough to be interesting, but not trying to cover the entire map. I started with the dim sum which was very well prepared and delicious. Then O followed that up with a well marbled rib eye with a deliciously simple side salad. In addition. The waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. A far cry from most hotel restaurants. If you have the time to see the city of Amsterdam, grab a train in and enjoy the local cuisine. However, if you're pressed for time, jet lagged or just feeling like staying in, the Bowery is not just a meal. It's truly dining. read more

A most pleasant surprise. Stayed in to eat at the hotel because I was tired. Had low expectations: bad food, high prices, inattentive service. It was a good start to see well-appointed interiors and the innovative global menu. Prices were reasonable for the quality. The mini sourdough bread was very good. The accompanying goat cheese and butter tasty and smooth. #travelwithpurpose. I had beef Tatar which was beautifully presented, great balance of texture and flavor. The truffle flavor came through. The dish came with two daintiest poached eggs and tiny potato chips. Wiped the plate clean. The next course, Livar pork belly, is less great. The flavors are rich Asian and the dish again beautiful. The pork was a bit tough and not flavorful on its own. A bit disappointing. The vegetables are perfectly cooked in that dish. The Sevice is attentive and competent.
