Huntley Bowl-Hi Lanes is a quaint 12-lane bowling alley with a bar, gaming area, and a pro shop. Don't let the humble exterior fool you, it is a dive inside, but it is not without its modern elements, including digital scoring and in-lane bumpers. The best part of this alley is the in-house pizza, which I would've taken a picture of, but everyone ate it so quickly. I love this place, it's for lovers of bowling who want to feel the nostalgia of a local bowling alley. The rates are pretty good too, $20 for 2 hours, with shoes! Will definitely be back, but make sure you call ahead to see the wait times... those lanes fill fast! read more

I love Bowl-Hi. Way better prices than Bowlero - and better management. They have TouchTunes which I have fun with. They have a lot of leagues, but just call before. They have a cool bar that you can just chill at watching sports forever. They also just got Dapper Dan's pizza, which I FREAKING ENJOYED. Good thin crust. read more

I am normally the person that is recommending and praising amazing restaurants and servers and people in Huntley-- However after a terrible experience at Huntley for high on Friday I am post for all to be aware of the attitude disrespect and lack of professional of the owner and the bartender-- (if this cannot be posted please feel free to take down but others should be aware of how residents are treated and I told him I would be posting and he said he didn't care) We went on St. Patrick's Day to support a band we knew. (Big Richards) The evening was going well -- we had invited my daughter and son-in-law from Janesville to come in for the weekend and to be together --since it was my mom's birthday and she had just passed away -- (they are 25 years old and engaged.) He went up to the bar to buy a drink for my daughter and himself and he was refused to be served because he was from Wisconsin. ( Obviously he had Wisconsin ID because he's grown up in Wisconsin --went to Osh kos college and now lives in Janesville) We have been residents of Huntley for over 25 years and I have never heard of such an unwelcoming treatment of family and guests. I told him he must've misunderstood so I went up to the bar to buy a beer for myself and him-- The bartender saw me give it to him and he came up to Zac and ripped the beer out of his hand! I was appalled and asked to speak to the owner-- The owner was just as rude and told us to go somewhere else to drink... If we didn't like it... I said I just want to understand because you're from a different state you cannot have a beer? he obviously is over 21 --a grown legal man and he's with his parents. The lady bartender tried to explain there was a sign posted but that didn't change the fact that he could not drink even though he's clearly of age and had 6 --50 year olds vouch for him!! and to take a beer away we paid for-- we could've given it to another one of our guests!! The owner was rude and dismissive--and the man bartender to pull a beer out of someone's hand and to be so flippant and when I said you can be nice and still explain the situation he was completely rude and said just leave already-- (I admit he was upset and when we left wrote an "up yours " on receipt-- but he was embarrassed and hurt and frustrated and completely shocked at the treatment) We never yelled or got violent or caused any problems but we left and went to the legion-- where we were welcomed. Never never never again will I go to this establishment and I will make it clear to all how we were treated and their awful attitude to customers. wow. read more

This place is a hole in the wall. The only reason why I went there was because a friend of mine won some free games at this place. They only have 10 lanes. Shoes are relatively clean looking. Balls could be a little better. Some of the lanes we were in would get stuck and not reset. We would have to hunt down the employees and have them go in back and reset the lanes or retrieval the stuck balls. This kind of ruin the rhythm of the game. The owner was a nice guy which is why this place even gets a star. The people at this place was rather rude I thought. We had people just walk through our lane. Didn't apologize or say excuse me. At one point we had ordered pizza and were eating it so we had plates and napkins strewn over our tables. All of a sudden some dude just comes up to our table grabs a handful of napkins and just leaves. Another time some lady came by and tried opening our box of cupcakes we had brought over for our friends birthday. We had to ask her wtf she was doing. Then the last straw was one a co-ed softball team came in and they were set up in the lane next to ours; we had some chocolate chip cookies in a basket and we assumed ppl would be civilized and not take what wasn't there; we were so wrong. I caught one of the guys just grab a handful of our cookies and stuffed it in his pocket. It's crap like that that makes this place a hellhole. Great place and family owned. Owner Donnie is a great guy.

This bowling alley was small and quiet. It was pleasant and not crowded. The bartender was not friendly. The manager started to clean the lanes while we were in middle of bowling which was distracting. If this place had been crowded, it might be annoying. No free refills on soda. We spent $50 for 2 games w/ 3 ppl playing and 6 drinks. read more

I ve bowled in huge bowling centers, national tournaments, with the best equipment. Bowl hi. Isn't any of that. But you know what I love this place. Nothing wrong with small. This place is a functioning center with a great little tech center. They can remove finger tips, and redrill finger tip holes. My ball works wonders on the last board to carry the pocket. Other alleys in area can't do this. Bands in Saturday nights are always fun. read more

We have been coming to Bowl-Hi for years, for bowling and birthday parties among other things. The bowling is really a great deal compared to the bigger brand name places. And the service is exceptional. And now the place has Zee's Sportsbar and Pizza. read more

The league I am in bowls at this location. It is a fun small local alley. They have daily drink specials even have live music every month. Danny is great and very personable. If you live in the area I would recommend this place. They now have video game poker and some other games to play. read more

We went here to see the live entertainment that they are trying to "promote" for the weekends. Now when i say promote, I meant that they throw some advertisement up on their facebook page the same day the performers are scheduled to perform. Being that this place is really close to where I live and they were having my favorite country band, Back Country Roads playing. Now my complaint isn't with the band, the band was awesome as usual, my issue is with the owner or manager treating the band after their set was done. He was very rude and disrespectful towards them. I can honestly say that it was an awkward conversation to overhear. Now If I was an owner looking for more musical talent to fill my so called bar area of the bowling alley, I would be a little more appreciative for the live entertainment that just performed all night for his customers. Also if this place wanted more people in, shouldn't they advertise better to get the crowd they want in? Now I'm pretty sure the most important part of being a bar owner is to not treat your bands like what I witnessed. I'm pretty sure I will not go back to watch music again or bowl for that matter. read more

I have been bowling at Bowl Hi Lanes for four years. This bowling alley only gets better. It is has a great atmosphere such as, great bands, karaoke and a great staff. Love this bowling alley.
