We hosted a bridal shower with a buffet brunch. Every food item tasted delicious and was beautifully displayed: lightly breaded chicken, green beans, pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, potatoes, salad, and fruit. The set up was creative with two sizes of round tables and a square table that could hold 16. We were able to bring our own dessert to celebrate the bride and groom and they cut the ice cream cake for no extra charge. Coffee, juice, water, and soda were included and plentiful. Clubhouse is nice, employees are nice. Layout of the course is OK however they don't cut the rough and it's not a very friendly course for amateur golfers. If you're a player who likes to scramble, skip this one and avoid trying to chip out of 4 inch rough. read more

Criminally overpriced for what you get. The course itself has potential, but it's run terribly. Pace of play is consistently around five hours+. The final straw was getting rained out after only two holes. Instead of issuing a standard rain check, they prorated it by two holes. I've never experienced a course being that cheap. This could be a nice course, but horrible management and policies make it hard to recommend. Won't be coming back. read more

Wanted to warm up our golf game since it is too cold to play outside. We made reservations to play simulated golf for an hour. Did some practice shots and then played a couple rounds at Pebble Beach. Nice, relaxing and easy to do! They have 3 simulators - probably for just the cold months as it takes up a good portion of the dining area in the bar. We enjoyed some beers with a Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Beer was cold, wrap was yummy. All the employees we encountered were nice too. read more

Have your wedding here - you won't regret it Where to begin...I'll start with the most amazing venue coordinator you could ask for - Hayley. From the first meeting my Husband and I had with Hayley about booking Pinecrest for our wedding we knew we were in the best hands. Hayley walked us through every detail and we quickly found out just how much she is willing, and delighted, to do to make our wedding special. This care followed through all the way up until the day of the wedding! Hayley was incredibly communicative throughout the planning process, and she set up AND took down all of our decor. We truly did not have to lift a finger and she made the reception look absolutely fabulous. The food...our guests are still talking about how amazing dinner was. Mark and the kitchen staff did a fabulous job with all of the food for our wedding. We thought that our tasting when we selected our meals was good? It was somehow BETTER the night of our wedding. I don't know how they did it, but the mashed potatoes and the white fish - I still dream about it. We had some dietary restrictions for a few guests - gluten-free & Vegan, and Mark and his team happily worked with us to provide gluten-free and vegan versions of the dishes we selected so our guests got the same delicious meal! The bar? Equally as fabulous. We threw out the idea of adding a signature drink and Hayley and Mark were ON it. We gave them a recipe we enjoyed of a French 75 and they were more than happy to include it. The bar was packed with pretty much everything you could ask for, and the bartenders were so fun and kind. We truly had the best time with them. I've been to Pinecrest before so I already knew it was a beautiful course, but our photographs turned out even better than I had hoped. It was a beautiful day surrounded by beautiful scenery and the most amazing people. We used all local vendors - venue, DJ, Photographer, and they turned out to all know each other so of course they worked FABULOUSLY together. I would HIGHLY recommend this amazing team. good experience each time I've played there. Sal the starter is a good guy and chats us up each time we play. Pro shop personnel are the best I've come across, and remind me of the people at Scottsdale National. Friendly and accommodating, bartender wasn't in as we had an early round and one of the guys in the pro shop jumped right up and offered to make us Blood Mary's. We had our wedding reception at Pinecrest and it was fantastic. Our guests are still taking about how delicious the food (filet and chicken) was. All filets melted in your mouth, were served hot and cooked to perfection. The chicken was extremely tasty with the right amount of sauce and not overcooked. Appetizers were a hit. Guests raved about those too. There was plenty of bartenders so no one was waiting for drinks even when the reception started. Waitstaff was courteous and accommodating to all. Hayley, Pinecrest's event coordinator, was a stickler for detail and made sure everything was set up correctly and the reception ran smoothly. We couldn't ask for a better person to manage the evening. read more

Had my daughter's baby shower there and the food and service was TERRIBLE! My package included lemon aid and iced tea NONE of which was served! They mixed old fruit with new fruit you could clearly see the difference! The chicken salad sandwich was supposed to be served on a croissant and it was served on a thick baguette roll which made it difficult to eat! The Alfredo was dry and no extra sauce was provided. Plates were NOT removed from the table as they said they did not want to disturb us! I paid over 1k for the worst experience ever! Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere!!! read more

So I rarely do reviews of anything but this place deserved a review. So I went with my friend who's an avid golfer with his son. I brought my 2 kids because I wanted them to see what golf was all about. Before we even started we were told on the greens to go fast by an elderly lady. She had a harsh look with a stern voice and I definitely didn't feel welcomed. On the actual first hole, another elderly gentlemen came on a cart and told us to "there's a huge group of golfers behind you, you have to play fast"... My question is we can't play too fast because we were always waiting for the group ahead of us... the icing on the cake was when the group behind us was yelling, " get off the greens!" They were yelling that to my kids. My kids love watching golf and they practiced on their swings and pitting for weeks before we tried to do 9 holes. I stopped playing completely. I just sat in the cart the rest of the way with my kids and just let my friend finish. Needless to say the kids are disappointed and probably have minimal desire to play again. We did complain to the manager Justin but he defended the golfers on the course. Didn't even offer an apology. I get it, we're of different color but don't spread lies on your website that you cater to "youth" golfers when you clearly don't. And Justin, please learn from this. Have some compassion for our concerns. Treat everyone as equals; don't let discrimination haunt your soul. It's not healthy. I'm going to next complain to Jim in the park district. I worked for them and will see if they do something about this nasty experience. This needs to be read by everyone- read more

Our first time at Pinecrest. Beautiful course! But the starter was extremely rude. We were on time for our tee time and 5 minutes before our tee time he was riding up to me telling me I need to pull up to the hole. My boyfriend was in the bathroom, as soon as he came out we were right there at hole 1. And he kept telling me "let's go"... rush us just to have us waiting around for the people in front of us to finish...Rude. Other than that, we will be back :) read more

Played the course yesterday, while the greens had been aerated, they were in nice shape. The staff is always helpful and friendly, in particular our starter. Got a chance to play it two weeks ago on a Friday at 10:30 am. Played with the retired guys from the white tees and it is really SHORT. Please see my blog for more details and reviews. However, I was surprised at the the great condition it was in, lush, and greens in great shape. Pace of play was decent. Best of all was they have an excellent cheese burger and fries for $4.50 and pitchers of beer for $5.00. The clubhouse is only a year old and it is beautiful; tons of tvs inside, and a great deck that overlooks the 18th green. I would play here again in a second! read more

I'm 39 and been golfing since I was a pre teen. Pinecrest has one of if not the best staff I've ever experienced. They are friendly and warming. They treat everybody like they are their best friend. And on top of that the course is amazing. I will continue to golf here and will tell everyone I know to go check this place out. I would give TEN stars if I could. read more

My favorite place to go hit a few at the driving range and play 18. Afterwards, go to the club and get some Bavarian Pretzel Sticks with Pilsner Cheese and a nice cold drink and it completes the experience. The place is beautiful and has a very friendly atmosphere. In addition to that, the pro shop is extremely helpful. Golfing: course is well kept and fun for the beginner to the experienced golfer. Food: Great! Various options for everyone to enjoy. Appetizers are fantastic as well as the entrees. The Bavarian Pretzel Sticks and the Firecracker Shrimp are amazing. And the mixologists (bartenders) know how to make a good drink to wet your whistle. Overall, this place is a great place to visit if you like golf, good food and a nice cold drink! read more

We just had our company holiday party here and hats off to the staff that pulled it off. I was in constant contact with Tracy from Pinecrest before the festivities took place. We opted for the buffet which was great. The only downside was we had to rush through our game and drawings because we only had the room for 4 hours. read more

I went there for a round of golf. I had a 1:58 tee time, got there 15 minutes earlier and checked in. There was a guy at front desk (Dennis, the golf professional) was extremely rude and made up some random policies that you can only get your cart 10 mins before your tee-time and would not check me in...so I am not new to golf, played many different golf courses in my life, never heard of such bogus rules that accomplish nothing....and what really ticked me off was there were people at the putting green with their carts and had 2:18 tee time!! Unfair treatment of customers are what get people mad. read more

First, a little of my background, I have 32 years in the service business. We moved to Del Webb 5 weeks ago from the city and having eaten in some of the finest restaurants in Chicago, I knew when we moved to Huntley I would need to lower my expectations, well ~~ their staff did not even meet my low expectations last Friday night. Asked for water, they brought one glass. Had to ask for another glass. I ordered fried shrimp, cut into it and it was clear in the center, I let my Dad taste it and he said not cooked. Keep in mind I have 32 years in the restaurant industry so I know cooked and not cooked. I handed the plate to Renata and asked her if it was cooked, keep in mind I am questioning their food being cooked, so obviously it was not. You think they would rather be safe than sorry? No ~ Renata walks to the hallway, must have asked young hostess and immediately comes back and hands me the plate and tells me it is cooked. I told I do not want it. When in doubt get manager. No manager. Charged for food I did not eat and that is okay as I know very few things for sure in my life but one thing I do know is that we will never have dinner at this restaurant again. Ever. My Dad had perch, ate one piece left the rest. The guys may golf there, drink at the bar maybe a safe item for lunch, but we will never eat dinner at this restaurant again. I did leave her a 20% tip. This is normal for me, she would have gotten a better tip with a better attitude or maybe a manager to stop by. Avoid dinner at this restaurant. read more

Great club, course was in pristine condition, challenging but fair. Brats where superb. definitely will repeat. Only one issue I had was with the beverage cart. Had no cash and asked if they accepted credit cards at the turn or if she did(most bc's around here don't but I thought I would ask anyway). She told me there was a cash machine at the club house that could be visited at the turn. She didn't mention the half way house accepts credit cards. :/ read more

I've been playing golf here for 5 years. I love every thing about this place. it's a joy to walk down and see people teeing off, on the range, on the putting green or in the sand trap practicing. Very kid friendly. A great place to teach kids about golf and golf etiquette. read more

Every time I have came I have had the same server named Jessica and she is the worst server I have had in any resturaunt. She is very rude very unattentive and doesnt seem to know what she's doing. If you come here i suggest you request a different waitress it won't be a good experience is Jessica zeilinski WORST ever! read more

They catered for the play at the park district. Ran out of food when they brought more it was chicken breast that was so tough you could not eat it. We did not get much of the other food as they ran out. Guess they can not judge how much people eat. So if you are booking a party or wedding make sure they have enough food. read more
