Big Al's - One of the bowling areas!

The manager, Craig, was able to shift our reservation so the rest of our party could arrive without losing any time bowling together as a group. After we finished bowling, we decided to stay for dinner and let the kids play in the arcade. Craig was very willing to help us secure an area in the open seating so we could play games with the kids and have a home base for all 19 of us to gather and eat afterward. All in all, the staff at Big Al's was very pleasant and accommodating. Craig specifically made everything so much easier for our party, whether it was adjusting our reservation, helping us secure a table, or simply checking in throughout our visit to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely come back for future family get-togethers, purely based on the wonderful and attentive service we received.

We decided to switch to shuffleboard and that's when the issues started. We had originally ordered micheladas with modelo negra with our server, however when we started ordering from the bar, the bartender stated that they didn't have that beer. Not an issue but it just seemed weird since someone else from our group had ordered one 10 minutes before that. Then the bartender had an attitude when my friend tried to order 4 drinks for our group because apparently every single person had to be there to order their own drinks, even though we had already ordered with our server. Also not an issue but the attitude we were receiving was unwarranted. Then the real issue started. We went on with our night and they announced at 10:15 that this was last call and the last drink would be served at 10:30. We go to order a final round at 10:19 and the bartender says that last call is over. We think that's weird but finish playing our last round of shuffleboard. At 10:30 the manager announces that last call is over. My friend went to speak with the manager about the bartender lying and being rude and we were met with even more rudeness from the manager. The bartender yelled at my friend that he would meet him outside (I'm assuming to fight). Two of our other friends stayed back to try to speak with the manager and the bartender lied and said that what happened wasn't the case and that they were out of tajin (which wasn't asked for) and that we came after 10:30. Not once did the manager take anything we had said into consideration. After seeing how low the reviews for this location are in comparison to other Big Al's locations, I'm not surprised as to why. Not only do they have staff members that threaten physical violence, but they also have managers that think that behavior like that is acceptable. All in all, if you feel like you'll have a good time getting lied to, terrible service, and threatened, this is the perfect place for you. If you care about your family, I would not recommend coming here.

Always plenty of parking here and the location is super easy to find. When we arrived there was a long line of people, but our friends were already checked in and we just had to get our shoes. The lane we were given was a decent size, couch on either side for each lane. I do like the surfboard tables, but they were kind of in the way and narrow with the table next to us every time we got up to bowl. Especially since the other table had pizza that was sticking out and I was nervous to knock it over every time I got up. We did unlimited games for 2 hours, that gave us enough time to get about 3 games in. I noticed plenty of balls were already in the ball return, so not sure if people go grab balls, or if they are just placed there to grab from. There were plenty of size options for the balls BUT I hate that we had to share with the lane next to us because they were eating pizza and grabbing the same balls and every time I went up the ball felt super greasy and gross. Cosmic bowling was really cool! Fun music videos and movies and other videos being shown on the screens down the lanes. I was expecting it to be darker inside though and having the black light pop out more. Inside also has a bar, food to order, arcade area, bathrooms and saw some people celebrating their birthday. They go all out with a neon sign and you're given a bowling pin that everyone signs. So that's cool to know if you plan on celebrating here. The manger was also kind and gave our friends coupons to come again and bowl two free games on their next visit so I thought that was really nice! All in all, I haven't been bowling in a minute, but it was fun to get together with friends, have a beer and just have fun!

My kids bowled with their friends for 2 hours and had a fun time. They play MUSIC VIDEOS, which is cool but also distracting and some of it not age appropriate in my humble Christian opinion. Maybe turn the music videos off or make them in less screens. I probably could have asked for my screen to be off but the kids were not paying too much attention to them I guess. We had a nice server checking on us and she asked if we wanted anything to eat and we could open a tab. It was nice to be waited on so we didn't have to leave the kids to go order. I'll come back again and bowl here it's clean and convenient (although our station had some little trash and table wasn't wiped, i asked and it was promptly cleaned ). Thanks Bowlero upland!

Ordering your own food seems to be forced more than suggested. Now they are nickle and diming you for everything as well including floor requests. The management team needs to rethink strategy before they push us back to a normal golf range. UPDATE TO HUGH D. - Why do you allow reservations for the exact time you open? By the time you get checked in and into your bay you lose about 10 mins. More if you have to wait for requested kids or platinum clubs. -Get a new brand of coffee. Your coffee is terrible but its all we can do since you don't allow outside coffee. - why do your hours of operation change but my platinum hours don't? Did not get a text until after our time and had to walk in go upstairs and sign in. After signing in it said we only had 50 minutes left which is wild. We ordered some fries told them no tomato due to a allergy and we were not told "cheese sauce comes with tomato" until we received our food and told a manager who let us know. It still had whole diced tomatoes in it. She then said pick something else and we'll get it for you no problem. We ordered katsu sliders and they came with a tomato based sauce. We had to do extensive research because you gush swapped sauces since the last time and we asked what was in it and they never went to the kitchen To ask they asked a manager. It would make sense to ask the kitchen what's in the sauce or what kind it is. Instead I was told " GO ONLINE AND LOOK IT UP" As a multibillion dollar company you guys need to train and hire better. We had plenty of technical issues , server issues, food issues. Also the server checked on us a total of 2 times and we kept having to ask other servers to help us with our bay. Never going back at night until there's a clear re training or management change. Be weary

Hence, it's easy to drop $70 and only end up with ONE small Kaito plushie from the Round One x Vocaloid collaboration. I realize not all are ready to commit to splurging, but get ready. Especially if you have KIDS! There's a feast to the recreational senses when you enter. I immediately gravitated towards the claw games. Note, the claw games are tough, I had to look up YouTube strategies and I still only ended up with a small prize from a smaller crane. I'll be back soon for Kaito's friends! If you're big on crossovers, Round One is constantly partnering with big names like Holo Live and other anime brands/titles. Sanrio is another major contributor, some plushies and prizes are even exclusive to Round One! I spotted cups, keychains, and much more. Now, Round One also offers bowling, karaoke, 99 cent ice cream, and arcade games. Thankfully, I went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't bad at all. No one was hogging up the activities and people were civil. I thought the experience was quite calming and sobering. I spent 20-ish mins inside during a quick stop at the mall and I already want to go back... when I get paid! Fun ambiance!

Usually there are instructions showing how items should be positioned in the machines, but this time there were only reference photos inside the machine. I asked an employee if they could reposition an item (something I've never had an issue with before), and the interaction felt pretty rude. They told me, "You shouldn't look at the reference photos, those are for employees." They attempted to reposition the item, but honestly just placed it back in basically the same spot, so it didn't help at all. It was disappointing because I used to enjoy coming to this location. I don't think I'll be returning since I don't want to feel like I'm inconveniencing staff just by asking for help.
