We had such a wonderful experience at Kniess' mini golf course yesterday! Mary, the owner, was incredibly kind, and all of her employees were very accommodating and welcoming throughout our visit. You can really feel the friendly atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The golf course itself is beautiful, well-kept, and full of unique character. There is so much cool paraphernalia and fun trinkets all throughout the property that make it interesting even between holes. Every hole was set up so neatly, with creative layouts, multiple drops, and thoughtful details that kept it fun the entire way through. I especially loved that they had an easier course for younger kids, which made it perfect for our children, and we also noticed the moving/more challenging course, which looked like something my husband and I would love to come back and try on our own. The seating areas placed along the way made it feel relaxing and enjoyable, and there was so much to look at that the whole experience felt special. One helpful thing to know before you go: it is cash only, so make sure you come prepared. It was $25 for 2 adults and 2 kids under 6. The kids had a blast!! Staff quoted $29 for 3 kids x 2 games. I later did the math and that wasn't right. It's $7 for the first game and $6 for the 2nd game. But only had a dollar left---so had to run to the sheetz-- to get the other $10. The nice young lady was just going to let it go because she quoted the price incorrectly and she saw I was on my last dollar. . But got money and tipped her well additionally. My husband celebrated his 75th birthday in Pittsburgh after many years of living in California. He and his 4 siblings played miniature golf as a family 60 yrs ago! They all got to play again! Very cute family oriented mini golf near McKnight/babcock crossover by The Barn/DQ. Easy to get to. We played the "moving parts" course. It was adorable. Well done. Each area was decorated, and they had PLENTY of sitting areas for anyone who struggles to walk long periods. Lots of shaded areas along the course, as well. Staff were very friendly. Well maintained. It cost about $7 per person in cash to play a course. Not sure of cost to play both. read more

This miniature golf course, located on Babcock BLVD, right by the DQ is so cute. They lack parking which I assume can be an issue, but fortunately we found some. This establishment offers two 18-hole courses, you can choose to do one or both. The pricing is very fair $6.50 a person. Cash only! We decided to only golf one course. I really liked the creativity of the course and the upkeep of the course. My favorite holes were those featuring railroad themes. Everyone had a good time, and we will definitely be back especially since my stepdaughter got a hole in one on the last hole and received a free game. It was really crowded so prepare for a wait if there is a larger group in front of you. Per the girl working the counter, they will stay open so long as the weather permits. I always have a great time putting at Kniess miniature golf on Babcock Boulevard. The staff is incredibly helpful. They offer two distinct 18 hole courses, and most of the course is shaded by trees, providing relief on a hot, sunny days. Some of the holes look deceptively easy until you tee up and give it a try. If you score a hole-in-one on the 18th hole, you win a free game. The prices are very reasonable: $6.75 for the first course, $5.25 for children six and under; playing the second course cost $5.75, or $4.50 for children six and under. Such a fun place to mini-golf! Two 18-hole courses with tons of themed holes that are fun to play and fun to look at. We especially loved the Railroad side, which has holes with pirates treasure, car parts, bowling balls, and more. The owner was super nice and said he works on the course and adds decorations every year, which is so cool! Definitely a good family activity if you're in the area--we came from the southwest part of Pittsburgh to play (about a 45 minute drive), and it was totally worth it! read more

I almost didn't see the parking or place but it is tucked away on Babcock with a gravel area for parking right alongside the playing area. The staff here are very friendly, play area is spacious and capable for any age. Only about $7 per player per game. Weren't too many players and we had a great time. I was not expecting much from this mini golf place when I pulled into the parking parking lot. The sign was small and easy to miss, I actually drove right by it the first time and had to loop back around, but I am glad I gave it a try. This place has two 18 hole miniature golf courses. They only take cash, but they were cheap. It was less than $20 for two people to play both courses. Both courses are the classic mini golf style, not the park style that most of the new places are. Both course were fun, both had good theming, and both had fun holes. One side is more classic themed, windmill, bumper cars, big Ferris Wheel. The other side is more tropical themed, tiki huts and small water features. I think my favorite hole was the roulette hole. The only negatives for me were they need a better sign and parking lot. Also some of the holes could use some up keep, some of the turf was very worn out. Overall one of the better mini golf places that I have played. Hands down the best miniature golf in Pittsburgh! My boyfriend and I love miniature golf and happened to stumbled across this gem one Saturday evening after discovering that our local miniature golf was closed for the evening. We drove out to Kniess and were pleasantly surprised with our new discovery... first of all, there are TWO 18 hole courses that you can choose from! This is a fabulous feature because it spreads people out and makes the wait time between holes shorter. Secondly, a round of golf is only $5.50 per person. Most places I've been charge at leave $7-$8. Both times we have been to Kniess, we have chosen to golf the more challenging course because it has a lot of moving components. It's a blast because not all of the holes are the same. In addition, this course is so well maintained! During both visits, I've seen a worker using an electric blower on the holes to make sure they stay clean! Kniess golf is so much fun! I will continue to travel to the North Hills when we are looking to miniature golf. Please keep in mind: they are cash only!! read more

We had a blast playing mini golf here. The day we went it was not too crowded and there was beautiful weather and a creek with running water (see attached picture). They have 2 very different golf coarses you can choose from. One of them is the cute, fun and whimsical golf course where you are presented with unpredictable challenges. Because of the element of surprise the scoring for this course is going to vary a lot which might make it more fun if there is a big gap in skill among players. The other golf course had a more nature or ethnic theme. Every hole represented a different culture, whether it be Mexican, Native American, Indian, Chinese, etc. We were all very impressed with how well it was decorated; it almost felt like going to an international museum. We also liked all the flowers that we stopped to smell. With all the greenery you can choose if you want to be in the shade or not; which is nice since some people like being out in the sun more than others. The prices are higher than what the website says (they need to update that) but it is still a pretty reasonable price (about 5$ each per course) for a fun filled day. Also, if you get a hole in one at one of the golf courses you can go to the other one for free. I would definitely recommend this golf course to anyone looking for an excuse to be outside or to have a fun competition among friends! read more

This course offers a lot of fun at a great value. Each hole is unique and creates a sense of adventure for the players. There is clearly a lot of thought put into the course. Many of the holes are well decorated with themed items that further add to the spirit of the course. The only knock on this course is that some of the greens are unpredictable and can often cause the ball to curve unexpectedly. Additionally, if you are here at night there are some areas that are in much need of additional lighting. Overall, this is a great place to play and I would definitely come back Update: I have now had the privilege of playing both the back 18 and front 18. For the front 18 it is a much different experience than the back 18. In terms of course design it is much more simplistic with increased emphasis on aesthetics rather than creativity of the hole. Certainly and enjoyable experience. Out of the two I would definitely recommend the back 18 as it is much more adventurous than the front 18. read more

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at this mini golf course! First of all, you can play 2 courses for $10 which is a great deal! The decorations around the holes and obstacles on the courses are some of the best I've ever seen. You can tell they put a lot of work into up-keeping this course. The course is very neat and free of debris and the decor will make you want to stop and stare. There is also quite a few areas to sit if you are waiting for a group in front of you. The course is also near a creek/river which is beautiful. My Mom has taken her Grandkids to Kniess' at least a dozen times each season. It was special and fun place for all 8 grandkids. My Mom recently passed away, and as a hat-tip to their Grandma, these young adults gathered together all from places out of town, to play a last game in honor of their Grandma. If i could leave a zero star review i would. Lady at the front desk was a beotch. Wouldn't let us play on the second course that had more diversity. First course was literally the same hole over and over again. I think she was homophobic, didn't yell at us until she saw our lesbian couple friends kissing. And then she proceeded to let an old straight couple play on the second course that she kicked us off of. I would have driven 20 minutes to a different golf course if i knew i was going to be treated this way! read more

This is a top of the line mini golf course. I feel like most mini golf courses are usually a little aged and worn down, but kneiss' was SO NICE. My boyfriend and I were both really impressed with the amount of infrastructure that went into the course. There are many spinning obstacles, ball transport tubes, and elaborate putts. Everything looked so fresh. The course is right by a little creek, so it was also scenic. There is a buck of sanitizer that you dip your putter into before and after, so I feel like covid precautions are solid. Definitely come to mini golf here. You will not be disappointed! read more

Kniess' is a great course and guaranteed family fun! If you aren't paying attention, you'll pass it right up as it is hidden on Babcock Blvd. There are two courses: one being more of a traditional course while the other being more interactive with corky obstacles and animated features. It's cheap, too! Only around $6 per person (there is a deal for both courses). Staff is friendly and the "club shop" also has a few games to play. Only downfall is it is super dark making it hard to see at night, but I'm assuming it's to keep the bugs off. We've been here twice and had a great time each visit. read more

This was a fun place to go miniature golfing. We did the "classic course," which has nice "vacation" themes that are pretty well maintained. The price was reasonable. Parking was okay. They definitely need more signage, though. Everyone in our party (3 cars) missed the turn the first time. They have a whole big fence that could be painted with their name! The bathrooms weren't terrible; I'm a Girl Scout and I've camped with more rustic latrines.
