my empty table with 0 breadsticks in sight!!
    April W.

They forgot about my breadsticks and I never got them. By the time we reminded them we had about 45 minutes left. When we checked again 20 minutes later they showed no sign of starting them. We had to cancel the order and I left with NO breadsticks. It is the only food we ordered! The bowling was fine.

The website over advertised the food . It was a basic bowling alley... pretty typical with sub par bar food.

This machine did this three times while we were there and another child had the same experience while we were there. When I went to the front desk to inform the associate, she said they couldn't do anything about it. I suggested an out of order sign and this was shrugged off. I was also very disappointed to find out the tickets my son earned from the games he played he was unable to spend. We went to the front to ask to select a prize and were told their scanner for the game cards was broken. My son was extremely upset. To try to make him feel a little better I gave him two quarters so he could get a toy from one of those little gumball machines, and wouldn't you know it, that thing took his money too and no bouncy ball came out. Luckily, my child bounces back pretty easily and still managed to have a good time on the trampolines and obstacle course apparatus. I do think management should look into how they can offer refunds or give credits back when games don't work. The prizes earned need to be available the same day. It is ridiculous that I was told I could come back tomorrow when their scanner supposedly would be working. Not doing that. Here's hoping next visit will be better.

We recently hosted a birthday party at Flipper McCoy's in Virginia Beach and overall had a really…read morefun and positive experience. The biggest downside was the heat, especially upstairs in the laser tag area. It was uncomfortably hot and could definitely use better ventilation. The party room itself is on the smaller side and felt very cramped (only accommodates 12 bodies comfortably) and was warm too. The arcade noise carries in even with the door closed as the walls don't go up to the ceiling, but noise is expected in an arcade setting. That said, there were a lot of thoughtful touches that really stood out. The party room was decorated well, with detailed under the sea murals on the wall, and the place settings were surprisingly nice with sturdy glowing plastic plates, cups, and neatly arranged silverware that matched the neon and black-light theme. It made it feel more put-together than typical party setups. (Even though I decorated with my own decorations and partyware, as the birthday girl had a particular theme she wanted.)Our party attendant made it a point to check in to empty trash and make sure everything was going smoothly. One of the most appreciated features was that parents could watch the laser tag games from downstairs on the screens, and a few were even allowed to jump in and play with their kids at no extra charge, which was awesome. The kids absolutely loved the variety of arcade games and had a blast. Party pricing and packages were comparable to other venues, with three options to choose from, and we really liked being able to bring our own food and drinks. They were also very accommodating, since there wasn't a party before ours, they let us in early to decorate at no extra cost, and they didn't rush us out at the end, only asking for 30 minutes to reset the room for the next group. That flexibility made a huge difference, especially since we had the largest party package with multiple laser tag rounds plus arcade time, cake, and food. Parking was a bit tricky, but that was expected at the oceanfront (and we were glad it was the off-season). Most importantly, the kids had an amazing time and the birthday girl is already asking to have another party there, which says it all. A FUN venue with great staff and party flexibility, just be prepared for the heat, especially upstairs, the typical arcade noise (even in the party room) and the frustration of VB Oceanfront parking, as there isn't dedicated parking for the venue.

Maybe that is the reason we were the only folks in the arcade. We ended up with enough tickets to get 6 pieces of "penny candy". So I'd say skip the arcade and take your kiddo to the dollar store and let them come out with 5 or 10 dollars worth of stuff. Also we paid $12 to park in the lot behind the arcade. So a costly 15 minute experience.
