Breakfast quesadilla
Raymond J.

As always my reviews are based on my experience as it should always be. My hometown restaurants choices are few and far between. This place has changed hands many times over the years. I personally haven't been in the building since my 8th grade graduation dinner. I honestly wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. Met some family for dinner and everyone had a nice dinner. Nice small dinner salad and only in the Midwest will you find a pork tenderloin sandwich, Hand breaded btw. My wife had a breakfast quesadilla which filled the plate. Really tasty jumbo shrimp. My only complaint is the kitchen cooking exhaust is huge importance otherwise you walk out smelling like a French fry. Otherwise a nice meal with good service

MP&a a whole lot of gravy with roast beef sandwich also with a whole lot of gravy. It was too much gravy for me.

The omelet was really good. My only issue was how bad the food leaked in a short 8 minute drive.

I checked in and got a Yelp offer for a $2 slammer. Cool!…read more After walking down from the truck stop out on US-36, I was ready for a good meal. The restaurant sits at the corner, and it has 3 tables inside. During my visit, I was the only person who sat inside. Most customers were walk-ins and the took their orders to go. They have a walk-up window and a nice family stopped by as they took their dog for a walk. I would say the bulk of their menu consists of hot dogs and ice cream creations. With such a limited menu, I was still able to walk out a satisfied customer. Amanda was my pleasant server. I started off with a pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious. Still hungry, I tried a chili cheese dog. OK, my appetite was still there, so the cheese nachos finished off my meal. So what about that $2 Slammer? Even though I was full, and even though I know when to say 'when', I ordered the Slammer - it's like a Blizzard at another restaurant. It was very good. Both the exterior and the interior were well kept and clean. The ample size restroom was equally clean and well-kept. I recommend!

They used to serve actual food but now they serve no more food than a gas station (hot dogs and nachos). The ice cream and shakes is pretty good. The quality of the ice cream is average at best but they are much too expensive for what they are. It is no longer a restaurant, it is a small room and should be considered more so an ice cream shop. It is a nice place to grab something cold to drink and eat in the summer. They are closed during winter, as is to be expected. Overall this is a nice place to get a small bite to eat.
