Comprehensive S Corp setup, tax returns, and payroll management…read moreI've been a client for four years, and my experience with their service has been excellent, particularly regarding the crucial setup and ongoing management of my S corporation. They successfully handled all aspects, from the initial incorporation to the consistent filing of annual tax returns and managing payroll. Here's a breakdown of my experience over the past four years: * Initial S Corp setup: The initial process was handled efficiently, including the filing of Form 2553 with the IRS. This ensured a smooth transition and proper election of S corp status. * Four years of annual tax returns (Form 1120-S): For each of the past four tax years, they prepared and filed my S corporation's tax returns accurately and on time. They also provided me with the necessary Schedule K-1 forms to include with my personal tax filings. * Consistent payroll management: Throughout this period, they managed payroll for me, a shareholder-employee. This included ensuring I was paid a "reasonable salary" to meet IRS requirements, withholding the correct taxes (Social Security, Medicare), and handling quarterly filings (Form 941). This has provided peace of mind and has helped me avoid audit risks associated with S corp compensation. * Proactive communication: They have been proactive in communicating deadlines and advising on tax implications, ensuring I am always compliant and informed. For any business owner seeking a service that provides seamless integration of S corp formation, tax filing, and payroll, I highly recommend this service. They've saved me time and stress by handling these critical, and often complex, financial tasks.

I was taken care of by Kevin Corbett as he's done taxes for some of my family members in the past. Appointments are pretty straightforward at K&A. Kevin's questions while doing my taxes showed me how methodical he was and it was interesting to understand the reasons he asked (he explained to me some of the terms, laws, etc.). We managed to get through my complicated taxes and I was ready to be on my way. My experience for the first time was great at K&A, especially for such a dull tax activity. There were two things that I'd point out could be improved for my experience to be much better. 1. Up front transparency for cost of tax filing 2. Speed up of time doing taxes (I was there for 2 hours) All in all, my experience was positive and I thank K&A.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH RICK DONNER…read more I have owned stock in 2 related subchapter-S companies for several years. In 2009, the parent company, also an S-corp, took back my stock in these 2 subsidiaries, and instead gave me stock in the parent. So I had 3 K-1s to deal with, and as usual the K-1s didn't arrive until April 8th and 12th. I had waited a week for an appointment with a CPA, then sat down for about 30 minutes and explained the situation. Suddenly, the accountant stood up and said they weren't able to help me. It was too complicated, they had too much to do. I was shocked . One week to tax day and I had nowhere to go. I had tried TurboTax, but no way could it deal with this K-1 swap. I couldn't return to last year's accountant. He had said my return was a lot of work, and had charged me big money. And last year's had been much easier than this. I couldn't believe this. I'm from Chicago, and I have known smart accountants in the past who could certainly deal with this. But after 4 years in Fort Myers, I didn't know where to turn. Then I met Rick Donner, and the situation changed completely. As I talked to him, he immediately started creating my return on his computer. I explained the stock swap and showed him the documents, and he quickly figured out what was going on. Then he sat and thought for a while, and I shut up. Finally he said 'Ok, here's what we're going to do'. And he proceeded to explain the strategy for dealing with the swap. Furthermore, the return was essentially done - he had been typing everything in while we were talking. All we needed was the last K-1, and that was it. I was blown away. It had seemed like such a big problem an hour ago, and now it was magically solved. What had been a really bad day had suddenly turned great. Such a relief to find someone who could handle this with no nonsense. And, he didn't try to make a big case out of it and charge me an arm and a leg. Rick is forthright, smart, and a straight dealer. I would recommend him heartily. Dave S.
