Unfortunately, the quality of the work has been extremely disappointing. Early this Spring, less than a year after completion, the entire section at the end of the driveway completely washed away into the roadside ditch. While I appreciate that they were prompt in returning to address the washout, the repair matched the quality of the original job: They failed to place sufficient riprap along the end of the driveway around the sides and drainage pipe as they had done originally, and streams are already beginning to wash the driveway away again just months after the fix. I raised this to Rick, explaining that the overall grading was poor/non-existent. Fresh gravel was spread unevenly, and proper build-up and critical drainage issues were completely ignored. Just one year later, the potholes he filled have completely returned and are as bad as they were before the project. His immediate response was to blame bad weather and heavy traffic. The work simply has not held up and they have not stood by their work. I would not recommend Lambert & Sons for driveway installation or drainage management.

Needing some remodeling work and never had to use a contractor in the Ithaca area, I started asking for a good contractor. I received Chris Eder as reference to use. From our first phone call, he was very professional. Chris was very punctual for our first meeting and after looking at the job that I wanted him to do, he gave me a written email estimate later that evening. Every day for work he was on time, and every day when he was done working, he always cleaned up debris or mess that he had made as if he had not even been there. I am very pleased. I have had Chris do several different jobs for me on my house and rental and he has never failed me. He has remodeled three bathrooms, trim work around floor and windows, carpet/vinyl flooring installation, subflooring, installed electric baseboard heating, ceiling lights, minor electrical work and building storage shelves in my garage for me. Chris is always accommodating around my work schedule when he does a job for me. He has never started a job and then left me hanging days before returning. Every time I have asked him to do a job on whatever days I am available Chris is always there on time, always professional, very reasonable and works harder than a beaver with dull teeth. We have a 3 bedroom home with multiple closets, cabinets, built-ins and and an entire finished basement that needed repainted. Joe did all the ceilings, trim, cast iron radiators, shelves, walls and stairs. He did a fantastic job. We had a pretty tight deadline and Joe worked diligently early mornings and well into the the night to get the job done. His price was fair and he went above and beyond what we expected. For instance, we didn't expect him to paint the radiators, but he felt that after the rooms were repainted, they looked out of place and dingy compared to the rest. He also repainted our front door because he wanted it to match the interior quality of painting! He was honest, timely, and efficient.
