They saved my sanity! My diesel 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee blew a coolant bypass connector and I was 3 hrs away from home. Got towed from the 505 to Woodland. The tow driver recommended them. I had to make it to a very important meeting with my lawyer (I had waited 3 wks to get in) and the Bowman magic happened! They got me in, ordered the part, even showed me the defective part, and I was out the door on time to make it to that critical meeting. The total price out the door was way reasonable plus the front staff was friendly, supportive, and actually priced shopped for me! Better than the "Certified Dealer Mechanics". We took my Ford to the Ford dealership for a diagnostic because my car would not shift out of park. The dealer said it needed a certain part replaced. So we listed. Needless to say, that didn't fix the issue and the Ford expert mechanic could not figure out what the problem was. Fast forward a few weeks. We took the car to Bowman's (without an appointment) for a second opinion, and by the end of the day, they found the problem and I was able to drive my car home. Did I mention that this was all done for a fraction of the cost that the dealer quoted us? Yup. Better, quicker, friendlier service. And reasonably priced. very disappointed that the issue with our vehicle was ignored 2 different diagnostics pointed to the exact problem, but they ignored the diagnostic reading wanted to fix other things that were not the issue. the vehicle was fixed by another mechanic who fixed the exact Issue the diagnostics pointed to. read more

Rooted in the community and actually cares about the well being of their customers. Can speak in terms that I can understand and equate to problems. Honest. Being trustworthy is maybe the biggest litmus test for me as a mechanic customer. I really feel as though I have to trust the shop, and it seems harder than ever to get this feeling. Clutch went out in my dodge 2500 and I wanted a specific clutch installed. Purchased the clutch and called around trying to find someone who would install it and do it shortly. Bowmans was able to get me in within a few days rather than weeks, and didn't have a problem installing the supplied clutch. While they had the transmission out they found two other problems which the notified me about and provided a cost to repair. Got everything done, and at a price lower than another place had quoted for just the clutch! Will be back for any other work on my truck or other vehicles. read more

Well unlike the other reviews, I had a terrible experience with Bowman's auto repair. My truck began leaking diesel while I was driving through woodland. I brought it to bowmans and it was determined that my fuel pump was leaking. They had it done in a week and I was back on the road. Well about 70 miles later it started leaking again. The brand new pump they had just put in already started leaking. They took it back and fixed the fuel pump free of charge. About 50 miles after that, I started the truck in the morning to let it warm up and walked away for a minute. I came back and my whole drive way was soaked in diesel. I called bowmans and they said it was probably something else that broke and to take it to them and they will take a look. Well I live 27 mins away (about 30 miles) and the tow would be $300. They said it was my responsibility to pay for it. Well upon further inspection I found one of the hoses they charged me for was put on incorrectly and diesel was coming right out. I called them and they stuck to there story and that they "stand by their work". The original charge for the pump was $1400.00. I didn't feel obligated to pay another $300 so they can fix their own work. Ended up fixing it myself. They seam to use cheap parts the first time and did shotty work the second time. I would warn people away from Bowman's auto "repair". read more

I took my Ford Diesel truck in this morning. Steven was great. I told him the problem. He plugged in a scanner, looked under the hood to check for the problem he suspected and confirmed what needed to be done. He gave me a fair estimate and did not try to up-sale me on a bunch of stuff that I didn't need. He got the work done in the time he promised and even stayed a little late so I could come pick it up.
