I was almost hit by a car about 5 weeks ago. I ended up dodging the car but I fell really hard and dislocated my shoulder and had a hill-sachs lesion. Firefighters who responded to the accident wouldn't touch me or my shoulder it was so badly out of place. The pain I went through was on a level that I could never explain. I had to be put to sleep to get my shoulder back in place. Since then, I've been in so much pain and unable to use my right arm at all. My shoulder was visibly slumped down and in a forward position. You could definitely see a difference compared to my other shoulder. After my accident, I was sent to a specialist for my shoulder with the idea that I actually needed surgery. The specialist didn't even look at my shoulder, he never took an X-ray or suggested an MRI. He would simply document any symptoms from my injury, prescribe pain medication, and send me on my way. I was tired of pain medication. I wanted to fix the actual problem with my shoulder so I could live my normal life again. After 4 weeks of this, I couldn't stand it anymore and decided to call Dr. Bowser for real help. I should have called him a lot sooner! I came into Dr. Bowser's office this morning and got adjusted. Can I tell you.. I COULD NOT lift my arm up to the side before and it was extremely painful to even try. After the adjustment, I could lift my arm all the way up. I shocked myself at how far it went up with no pain after that adjustment. I actually burst into tears from relief that I could move my arm again (and without pain) and because now I can actually start healing from this injury. Dr.Bowser is an amazing Chiropractor.. He knows the body and is a healer... I started coming to his office 3 years ago, I was suffering with severe sciatica nerve pain and could barely walk.. I always thought it was my back , he told me it was all coming from my knee, causing me to walk wrong .. He helped adjust and make walking bearable, I unfortunately needed knee replacement because I let it go so, long .. but Dr. Bowser adjusted me even right after surgery to help with the back issues that happened during surgery, I wouldn't have trusted ANYONE else to work on me 1 week after surgery but him .. I started seeing Dr Bowser since 2021. I have a very painful neurological condition called CRPS. My condition is very hard to treat, I've seen probably about 8-10 chiropractors and all of them would put me on a flare because they just don't understand the condition which is a very rare one, however, Dr Bowser has being the only one that actually helps me. I have sent my mom and sister to him and he did it again, he was able to help them. He is not only a wonderful doctor with lots of knowledge but he is a amazing human being. I suffered from horrible vertigo for over 2 months. After seeing two otolaryngologists (ears, nose, and throat doctors) and attending physical therapy, I still had vertigo. My friend suggested I see Dr. Bowser. It took over an hour to get there, but I decided to go out of desperation and saw firsthand how he helped my friend walk again after her knee issues. Dr. Bowser took his time, and after meeting with him, he told me I would need to come for three visits. After the first visit, I was 70% better. After the second visit, my vertigo was gone entirely. My 3yr old son has had issues with his balance since he first began learning to walk. He would lose his balance and fall constantly, hitting his head on whatever hard surface he was walking on (hardwood floor, tile, sidewalk concrete, etc.). His head was always bruised. I am a skater, and know about Dr. Bowser from quite a few of my skater friends who see him for their injuries, and rave about him and his amazing, "non-conventional" Chiropractic methods. I fell REALLY bad in the new 13 ft Combi bowl at Vans HB, 4 days ago, and hurt my leg really bad as a result. I have barely been able to walk since. I thought for sure I tore my hamstring, or worse. After a few days of being in agonizing pain, I finally made an appointment to see Dr. Bowser, and even though he was booked solid, he fit me in that day. I knew that going to the doctor was likely going to cost me a few hundred dollars in office visit and x-ray fees, not to mention, a lot of time to figure out the problem and how treat it..even WITH insurance. When I spoke to him on the phone, Dr. Bowser seemed to know what it was right away, from the description of my fall and my pain. When I got to his office, I felt incredibly cared for and at ease, like visiting an old friend. Once he physically diagnosed my injury, by "talking to my body", he confirmed that is WAS in fact what he thought it was when we spoke on the phone. He then applied a non-invasive "tapping" to an area over my Sacrum, where he said the injury happened. He also told me I would feel 70% better after..and I DID. No cracking, or twisting, just a lovely little tapping tool that worked to relieve the injury from my fall. Dr. Bowser only charges you of he can "fix" you, which he is definitely known for doing...and we're talking about fixing bad injuries, on high level athletes, on the daily. So they can skate again. He "unlocked" my femur which was jammed and twisted up into my Sacrum...a VERY un natural position for those two things to be, and VERY painful, from the slam I took. Immediately, I could stand on my leg straight, bend and walk much better than I could when I got to his office. Today, the day after, I feel such a huge difference and know that I am actually on the way to having my leg back to normal. He even told me the exact amount of days that I will be able to skate again..which is far less than I feel I would have been given at the hospital who would have surely dragged the entire process, and medical bills out. Ok, I'm a skeptic and a cynic. I never ever considered going to a chiropractor. Ever. Period. So, I started having ridiculous mid-back pain and physical therapy (like several times a week) wasn't helping. I couldn't sit in the car, or sit at my desk without being in pain. After missing about a week of work, I was seriously considering calling Lindsey Lohan and inquiring about how to start a painkiller addiction. My brother found out what was going on and INSISTED that I go see Dr. Bowser. My brother is a 31 year old skater. Yeah, go ahead and judge him, I do too. Anyway, he's friends with pros both new and old school. Apparently, the Chiropractor to the pro-skaters is Dr. Bowser. I figure if my friend Lester Kasai trusts him then I can too. So, my brother tells me that Dr. Bowser is part of a Chiropractic legacy. His grandfather devised a system of diagnosis and treatment that doesn't require x-rays. Ok, so now I'm REALLY skeptical! Anyway, not only did Dr. B do me a solid by letting me come in on the same day I called, but he did a thorough exam, tested my range of movement, and then diagnosed me using his grandfather's technique. (BTW, none of my experience was painful.) He told me that my left hip was locked and that it was causing my spine to twist where the pain was. Whaaaat??? So, he pops my hip back into place and puts my spine back where it belongs and shortly thereafter my pain is almost completely gone!!! WIthin a day it was TOTALLY gone! After a week of pain and physical therapy, my back felt so much better! I'm still a cynic. I wouldn't trust another chiropractor. No way. I do however trust Dr. Bowser and will continue to let him work on me. Oh, and did I mention that my visit was over 2 hours long. He doesn't just take your money and run, he takes the time to get out his plastic spine and thoroughly describe exactly what is going on, and then lets you decide if you want to proceed. No pressure to commit to treatment. He actually just wants to help people. I know, I can't believe it either. My assessment is that this guy is the real deal. He's the one in a million guys that isn't a quack and doesn't want to just take your money. In fact, he was barely concerned with payment, it was like an afterthought. I had to bring it up when I left. I've dealt with a lot of dishonest folks in my life, I can usually smell bull$hit a mile away. Dr. Bowser is a genuine professional who is skilled and actually cares about patient care and not just his salary. My family (from my baby to my mom) has been seeing him for about a couple of years now and we won't go to any other chiropractor but him. I don't know why I didn't think about reviewing him until now, but several days ago, my baby kicked my rib cage and it has been hurting. Since it wasn't hurting every time I breathed, I ruled out broken rib cage, but it wasn't getting any better, either. He checks me and it turns out when my baby kicked me, one of the ribs shifted back & upwards that it was getting my rib cartilage inflamed (just like the other reviewer, he did all this without using the x-ray!). He did a quick adjustment, and I feel instantly better! Of course, I still have a little pain left from the inflammation, but now that my rib is adjusted, I know it will get better as always after seeing him. I don't have the pain I had for several days every time I move. One of the many reasons I feel confident about referring him to my friends is, he would check your body, and if chiropractic won't help you, he will let you know and won't charge you. He is not like other people who will lure you with a groupon price and then make you sign up for a treatment plan whether you need it or not. My friend's boy was told he has a scoliosis and a chiropractor offered a discount on a several months long treatment plan. I insisted on getting a second opinion from Dr. Bowser. He checked this child, and it turns out that he squirms a lot. Of course he didn't charge them, and offered to check within 6-8 months. ------------------ 10/10/2017 Now fast forward another 5 years, my 10 year old son was complaining about an ankle pain, so after watching it for 2 days, we decided to go see Dr. Bowser. He was able to see us that afternoon. As usual, he found the cause, adjusted him, had my son walk around for several minutes so the adjustment will set (?), and he was good to go! His pain gradually disappeared and by that evening, he was completely fine. More surprising was his rate hasn't gone up for the past 7+ years! (Children also gets a discount.) I'd been to several chiropractors over the years but wasn't a fan of the "rack 'em and crack 'em" routine that usually left me feeling worse afterward. But after an auto accident a friend recommended Dr. Bowser, and I found his technique a surprise and a welcome relief. He takes the time to identify the areas that actually need adjustment, and in the nearly ten years I've been seeing him, I've found his approach pretty spot-on. I almost always leave his office feeling immediately better, and on the rare exceptions, his diagnosis and remedy (one time, food poisoning, and a prescription for liquid acidophilus) yield rapid results. An artist helping patients find health and wellness, not just chasing the "almighty dollar". For almost 3 months, I was bedridden and unable to play with my kids...I suffered from vertigo and crippling headaches. Dr Bowser is amazing. I visited him after getting whiplash in a car accident. Luckily it was minor but I didn't know that until he evaluated me. He massaged my neck muscles and gave me some stretching exercises for Long standing back pain ( not related to my accident ). I love his style. Dr. Bowser is the only chiropractor I have ever gone to, in the past I have worked with PTs on my injuries from my past ballet career. Dr. Bowser has worked with a lot of extreme sports (skateboarding and MMA) injuries, and ballet injuries are often very similar. He has worked on my hips, tennis elbow, and most recently my knee. I just went to Dr.Bowser again. He's been my Chiropractor for the past two years, and I've never met a chiropractor that is so sincere and concerned about his clients. When I first met Dr Bowser several years ago : I came in for a neck injury I wasn't sure if it was stress related or impact , he actually discovered two things instantly it was in fact impact but I also had lower back pain that I thought was permanent because I had seen many chiros for years and no one could claim they could fix it. I thought I had to live with the pain. But Dr Bowser said the pain would be gone by that following Tuesday , to my surprise the pain was gone by Monday !!Both my neck and lower back!
