Anyhow, I was in desperate need of a trim since it had been 6+ months and I was looking feral. After seeing positive recommendations in a local community group online, I called Amber and she was able to fit me in within a day or so which was a nice surprise. Her shop is very clean and cute, she's diligent about Covid-19 precautions, she's an overall cool person to be around, and she did a fantastic job on my long, wavy, graying hair. She managed all this for a price so reasonable, I had to look twice. I'm confident that regular visits to Amber will have me looking human rather than like an angry spirit made of creosote branches and dust. Also, her shop is over by Old Town Yucca so there's good coffee and fun little stores nearby if you want to make a socially distant day of it. Her shop has lots of parking right up front, too, and would have been easy to find if I'd just listened to Waze the first time. I was the other half of that double booking today. I booked on the website so I was on the Schedule but the other client said she sent a text message. I was thinking of offering my appointment to her, but she left before I had a chance. She walked out even before giving the Raelynn a chance to make good on the situation. From my perspective this seemed like an unfortunate situation, but the salon did want to make it right somehow. I don't know the Raelynn personally but the 2 times she's cut my hair she seemed very personable, thoughtful, and client focused.

We had paid the extra $40 or so to get a room on the second floor and to our surprise, the double queen room came with a nice natural spring tub and was very spacious. The pools are open late with the back part closing at midnight while the main pool and hot spas are always open. We were able to go to the pools late at night and early in the morning and it was nice to have the room right there. We saw a few people who just got the day spa passes asking about the rooms and expressing regret that they hadn't just booked rooms here. Everything was really nice including the staff and service when we ordered food and drinks near the poolside. The skyline is beautiful and to be there on July 4th, we could see the fireworks in various parts of the sky. There is plenty of parking but it is a little odd of a location as it is mainly in a residential neighborhood with a few options for food. But they maintain the property well and it was a beautiful stay at a reasonable rate. We would recommend staying here!

The day pass was roughly $75 which gave us access to their mineral pools, main pool, and reflexology pool. As part of our day pass, we also had been given a locker that had a robe and slippers inside. You get charged an extra fee if you do not return these items. It was a hot weekend in Indio, but being in the hot water made it feel extreme! I was also to try their small mineral pools, bigger pool, and their reflexology walk - the walk was my favorite! My rating stems from the lack of service while we were here. Yes, the waters are great, but the service was subpar. The girls and I were there for about five hours, but were not asked about drinks or snacks once. There was a lady walking around giving beverages and taking orders from other guests, except us. It was saddening that they didn't come up to us, so we did leave earlier than expected. This was a unique experience, and it's quite decent if it's your first time. I don't think I'd come back for a second time.
