They had so many classic toys we remember from our own childhoods, plus an incredible selection of stuffed animals, games, and books for all ages. It seemed to be more geared toward games, toys, video games and graphic novels. We were in and out in no time, and we normally spend a good deal of time in bookstores. I realized I had forgotten a map for my hike on the next day, so I called as I was walking through town after the store hours (most stores close at 5:30pm, be warned). The MW stayed open later for me to get there and pick up a great map at a reasonable price. Inside is much larger and book displays are well designed and thought out, enticing and encouraging you to peruse for your next reading adventure. The owner works hard to curate books from every genre, staying on top of current best sellers, while also offering a great section of local Vermont authors (of both fiction and nonfiction) , games, cookbooks, stationary. There is something for everyone's tastes and preferences. The owner and employees are all very friendly and knowledgeable. They'll gladly order what you'd like if you can't find it in stock. She often hosts events, so follow their Facebook page to learn more. Prices are reasonable and it's always hard to walk out with "just one more book." The store is located next to a lovely coffee shop: perfect combination for a new book to take with you as you sip and dine. The shop also carries a little bit of local merch and some fun extra gifts. One thing I really appreciated was the affordable postcards, which is important to note because they are up-charged at some surrounding stores. I ended up grabbing a few, plus a fun magnet, and they also had a couple local art prints. The inside is super charming, a cozy, feel-good stop whether you're looking for a new read or just a small souvenir.
